We very much enjoyed this home although the bathrooms are dated and the master tub is quite difficult for older visitors to navigate. The driveway is quite steep and on a sharp curve making getting in and out a bit on edge. That said, the location in the hills is beautiful and quiet and very convenient to town. The doors and some of the windows have screens which was a pleasant surprise allowing for plenty of fresh air without letting the outside in. The house is spacious and comfortable. We would enjoy a return visit.

I stayed at Casa Colina for 5 weeks and had a great experience. Richard is a delight to deal with and communicates clearly and quickly. The house itself is clean and mostly well-furnished but could use some updating. The bathrooms are dated and a little quirky in terms of layout (i.e. the guest bedroom bathroom has a door that opens into the master bedroom closet). This wasn't an issue for me, but it might be for 2 families sharing the space. Also, the internet is slow in case that matters. Overall, the house and setting were beautiful and spacious. I loved that I could have my dog there and we could walk directly to the trails. Thanks Richard for everything!

This handsome house has a lot of character. It is sited on a hillside overlooking the Davey Audubon reserve… we loved the presence of birds in the morning. Comfortable, a well-stocked kitchen, and some special aesthetic highlights.

First, the property management company is the best I’ve ever rented from. Both Leslie and Richard were so responsive if we ever had an issue. They made everything easy from booking to checking out. You won’t be dissatisfied with their service and sometimes that’s very hard to find these days!
The property was remarkable. We lived here for three months at the start of our move to Santa Fe and looking for a permanent home to buy. The location at the end of Upper Canyon and Cerro Gordo is one on the most beautiful “rural” areas close to town. We were five minutes from everything but had the Dale Ball Trails and the Audubon Preserve literally steps from our front door. The houses in this forested neighborhood are spaced well apart and each of the neighbors we met were so friendly and welcoming.
The property is beautiful with private courtyards in both the front and back of the house. We used them almost everyday to enjoy the sunsets. The living room was so warm and welcoming and we enjoyed the fireplace almost every weekend once the weather cooled down. The overall feeling of the house was such a great start to our next chapter in life here in Santa Fe. The property feels authentic and it had so many features to offer. While the kitchen is small, they had everything stocked and all the kitchen tools you could ask for to cook anything. We cooked almost everyday and were never lacking anything. I highly recommend this rental. It has all the rustic charm you are looking for!

Nice quiet neighborhood with wonderful views. The house has lots of windows so you can really get the full effect. Had a nice time and the courtyard was great for our dogs.

Casa Colina exceeded all of our expectations! The house is full of light, beautifully decorated and has everything you need for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The kitchen was well stocked - dishes, glassware, pots, pans, appliances and a great supply of staples to get you started. The neighborhood is quiet and there are lovely views from the living room, patio and bedrooms. The Dale Ball Trail system can be accessed from the trailheads along the Cerro Gordo Road, making for easy hikes right out of the front door! Leslie and Richard were very accommodating - checking in and out of the house couldn't have been easier and they were both accessable for any questions or issues. The neighborhood road system is steep and the driveway even steeper. We were glad to have 4 wheel drive when it snowed! Santa Fe is such a special place and Casa Colina made it all that much more fun. We'll be back!

We rented this house in order to get together with friends in November. Was great.

This unit is in a great location, in the hills east of downtown. Two lovely outside areas, perhaps the best stocked kitchen we have ever encountered in many years on VRBO, and two large inside sitting areas. The only item to note for future guests is that the home does have interior steps when moving from one area to another. This will not be a concern except to perhaps elderly renters, or those with mobility challenges. Lovely home.

Nice older VRBO property. Excellent communication with property manager. Property is close to downtown Santa Fe, approximately 2.3 miles. Has everything you need for an enjoyable stay. Very close to hiking trails, but unfortunately due to fires in the area, the hiking trails were closed. House also smelled of smoke due to fires. The house has no air conditioning so timing our your stay is crucial. We unfortunately arrived during some almost record high temperatures. The house does cool off at night but not all windows are capable of opening and screen doors have some funtional issues. The left front burner on the stove wasn't working but the others were. Due to age of the property the drains are slow to empty water and two the the three showers are ok, and one small shower is the best. There are steps in several areas of the property which are not evident in the photos and could be an issue for elderly. It rained several days while we were there and the windows and roof in one area leaked. We contacted the property manager and the promptly sent over a repairman to address the window leaking. One of the photos for the property show a fire in the master bedroom but when you get there the instructions say do not build a fire in the master bedroom. Overall nice property that needs some tlc due to its age but would not hesitate to stay there again.

Funky and unique Santa Fe home that's very cozy and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. Close access to Dale Ball trail systems, Upper Canyon Road and exploring Cerro Gordo and adjacent roads in the neighborhood. Nice outdoor spaces and great views of the river valley.

This is a lovely home with a ton of light and plenty of space to spread out. The house comes with everything you need in the kitchen which made cooking at home a breeze.
Views are incredible and the area is quiet.
We were very happy with our stay and delighted to spend some time with Richard.
Simple check in/out process.
Until we meet again…….thank you!

We enjoyed a lovely month at Casa Colina and didn’t want to leave! The location is great - it’s up in the hills (great breezes and hikes) but still very close to town. The house itself is charming with Santa Fe touches throughout, we especially enjoyed the patio. The third bedroom with Murphy bed was great for my remote work office. The property worked great for our family of 4 (kids ages 10 and 8) and our 2 dogs. Plenty of space to live and work and relax. The kitchen is very well equipped (even a Nespresso machine!), and we used it heavily! Leslie and Richard were responsive and very helpful. Only thing I’d note is that the driveway is steep which was no issue in the summer but may be tricky in the winter. We hope to return at some point, it was absolutely lovely.

It was just what we were looking for. Close to some fantastic hiking trails, well up Upper Canyon Rd. Unfortunately, we had to cut our trip short due to the pandemic.

The house is located in a lovely neighborhood, both close to town and within walking distance to trailheads. The house itself is spacious with indoor and outdoor spaces to enjoy.

This is a house for those who want to be in Santa Fe, but away from tourist traffic. Location perfect for quiet in the hills and walking access to Dale Ball trail system. The house is 3 miles from the top of Canyon road galleries. Highly recommend Tea House for breakfast (parking as well at top of Canyon road galleries). We were two with up to six staying and had lots of space. You can easily spend most time out on two patios. Classic adobe look and feel. House equipped with everything.Richard and Leslie are great managers. We had them over for a glass of wine visit to hear about their experiences and Santa Fe. The house only had one issue with stopped up toilets - Richard had plumber out next day, and followed with replaced plumbing!

This home is beautifully appointed and in a quiet setting with stunning views of the mountains. The communication with the host was easy, efficient and friendly. I spent nearly 3 months in this charming home and was sad to leave.

We had a wonderful few days in Santa Fe and this house was fantastic! Perfectly located and well appointed. We enjoyed the hikes right outside the house every morning, and the lovely evenings on the patio. It really was perfect for our family trip.
