Great location, right in the middle of Fuengirola, good for a family visit.

The villa is perfect for a large group as it has lots of space and is very spread out. The location is perfect as everything you need is on your doorstep and it's only a few minutes walk from the beach and train station.
I was disappointed by the payment system, which was very difficult to use and company added an additional admin fee. When I queried this, the attitude was "pay it or you'll lose your reservation". Check in was also very stressful as there was a burglar alarm with no instructions, so the police ended up coming. There was no house manual so we had to work everything out for ourselves e.g. how to work the air con, the recycling system etc.
Overall I'd recommend the place but I wanted to flag the negatives.

This property is a little gem with masses of space and centrally located. I recently completed a stay with 5 adults and 4 children and it was just perfect for us.
The pool is a good size with plenty of sunbathing space around it. The garden is large to the rear with plenty of space to bbq and sit out to eat. There are three bedrooms on the ground floor, one being ensuite but there are two other bathrooms to use. Upstairs had a double bedroom. There is an entirely separate living accommodation on the far side with its own kitchen/bathroom. There is also an additional bedroom next to the games room with a shower/toilet located nearby.
The kitchen was fully stocked for cooking equipment and we have three large fridges to use over the whole property.
The property is minutes from the train station and a large supermarket and the beach is 5 mins walk away. The villa is surrounded by loads of lovely local eateries but if you want something more English you can go right to the seafront.
Over all and amazing holiday and would let hesitate to book again.

The house is in a great location! It's literally less than a 5 minute walk to the promenade. Lots of amazing restaurant options nearby. If you're traveling with under 10 year old kids, there's a great fun park very close to the house. There's also a great beach that has a very kid friendly beach where the waves are cut off by rocks.
Check in and communication could have been better honestly. I've stayed at a lot of VRBOs and communication is normally a lot quicker. Seems like the easiest way to get a hold of them was WhatsApp. The beach chairs at the house were not the same as the ones in the pictures and were in very poor condition. Two broke and the plastic one hurt my niece.
There's definitely a lot of plusses to this place. It's very family friendly. I'd recommend staying there .

The property was great and everything there as stated, one problem when we arrived the place was cold and bedding felt damp, I know the time of year was our choice but still felt bedding and maybe other form of heating could be a good idea, other wise we all loved it and if we need to visit again we will book the same place many thanks

Bra utrustade hus men lite små rum.

Relaxing vacation:)
Cute little cottage right by the water in Mexico beach. Problem with the AC upon arrival and the owner had it taken care of right away. Very nice lady. Couple of tiny issues but overall it was a great experience and we would stay at this sweet little cottage again.

Great Location
This house is at a perfect location. We had two small children and were able to pull them in a wagon across the street to the beach. The house is cozy. Kitchen well equipped, except for no ice maker. There were trays and we used bottled water to make ice. The only drawback to the location is no washer or dryer. I would have rated it a 5 instead of 4 if was equipped with both. The front porch was incredible for the kids and the beach was beautiful. We caught crabs and night and loved long days fishing and enjoying the beach. Alexandra was a wonderful landlord and incredibly helpful.

Anniversary Getaway
My husband and I decided to stay here to celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary. We have had a hard couple of years losing loved ones and whatnot and we knew we needed a place to get away from it all, rest, relax, recharge, and reconnect. This place was the absolute perfect place for that. The cottage reminded us so much of our first home together.. quaint and vintage. It's a very simple cabin with minimum distractions. A small tv with at tops 10 channels (no problem for me but my husband, a self proclaimed sports addict, had a hard time adjusting to being without ESPN for 5 days!), basic furniture, and a simple kitchen. This was exactly what we were looking for. The view is absolutely amazing. The location is perfect. We were really impressed with how well stocked the kitchen was, not only with utensils and whatnot, but also with paper plates, paper towels, etc. We felt very much at home in this cottage. We enjoyed all of our meals on the screened porch, lighting candles and enjoying wine in the evening while playing music listening to the waves. We ventured out into Mexico Beach and tried a few places as well as a few restaurants in Port St. Joe. Toucans is subpar (great for drinks, not so much for food), Killer Seafood is amazing (it is super busy so get there early or do like we did and call it in for take out), Sunset Grille is delicious (a little pricey but well worth every penny), and a small mexican restaurant in downtown Port St. Joe was an excellent place to go for lunch (just to break up the day and take a break from seafood!) The beach was a bit crowded being Mothers Day weekend but during the week, there was maybe 2 other people out each day. It felt like our own private beach! The only downfall of the cabin (if you even consider it one) was the master bed. It is a full so it is somewhat smaller than what we were used to (however, the rooms are small so that's about as big a bed that the room can accommodate). It was also a bit firmer than we prefer and it did not have a comforter or heavy blanket on it. After being really cold the first night, we pulled the comforter off one of the twin beds and we were fine. None of those are big deals, just come prepared with a heavier blanket. Overall, this trip was excellent, the cottage was great, and the beach was wonderful. My husband and I have been together for 6 years now and we love to travel. That being said, this was, by far, our favorite vacation we have ever had. We were able to relax, read a

This place was the perfect place for my friends and I. We had meals inside and outside on the screen porch with the ocean right in front of us. Takes seconds just to walk across to the beach from the house which was nice. Had beautiful weather so at times we would let up the windows so we could feel the breeze and see the sunset from inside the home. The screened in porch was awesome as well which is where we spent most of our time besides at the beach of course. The price was extremely fair for what we got, and I would definitely recommend this place for a family or group of 5 or even 6. Also parking was easy for some places it can take forever to park. It is not far from some good food places either which is where we ate at too. Definitely will be keeping this place in mind if I revisit Mexico Beach.

Roomy Villa with Perfect Location in Fuengirola
We just returned from a two week stay at the Villa Mercedes and the villa exceeded our expectations. It is a roomy gem surrounded by a privacy wall on a busy street, surrounded by apartment buildings. As a family party ranging at various times from 12 to 7 persons, we found the bedrooms to be large and comfortable with enough space in the armoires for our clothing and belongings. On really hot days, the air conditioning allowed all to stay inside if they desired and also to sleep comfortably. Three bathrooms with full showers (plus two with toilet/sink) gave even our large party enough facilities for bathing/morning wash-up. The kitchen is well-equipped for meal preparation, but cafes are nearby for those who want a breakfast expresso and croissant. A number of grocery stores, panaderias, and specialty grocers are nearby to help keep the group supplied with provisions and there is a second refrigerator in the dining area if more room is needed. Villa is within easy walking distance of many excellent restaurants, especially those around the Plaza Chinorros where many of the local residents dine. The beach is only 2 blocks away and many in our party took advantage of a cooling dip in the Mediterranean by renting boats equipped with slides or made an early morning jog along the beach. For those who wanted to stay in the villa, the saltwater pool was inviting, especially when lit after dark. Best of all is the closeness to the train and bus stations. 3 blocks to the train station gives access to the Fuengi/Malaga train with intermediate stops along the coast. Travelers can easily get from the Malaga Airport to the villa via train if willing to walk a few blocks with luggage. Several in the group enjoyed stopping at Benalmadena for the cliff-top chair lift with views to Gibraltar plus a falconry show. Malaga's Maria Zambrano station gives train access to many Andalusian interior cities such as Seville and Cordoba as well as high-speed but expensive travel to Madrid and elsewhere. The bus station is 2 blocks away with convenient buses to Mijas and other towns of interest. Ricardo, the owner's representative, was available on time to check us in, give an orientation to the property, and check us out. With our two week stay, towels and bed linen were changed by cleaners the Saturday between weeks. Be aware that there are high-rise apartments surrounding the property so loud, late night parties are discouraged. We would definitely recommend this rental to all.

Had a WONDERFUL trip!!! The cottage was perfect for our needs. It was very clean and had everything that we needed. I LOVE the screened in porch!! We were surprised to find a nice beach umbrella that really came in handy!! We brought a small grill and it was awesome grilling in the front yard while the sun set! It is literally only a few steps to the beach and the price is great!!!

BEST VACATION YET!!!
This was by far the BEST vacation yet! We brought our two children ages 6 and 2. They both cried when we left! We had dinners on the screened in porch, while listening to the waves. Sunsets on the beach, followed by s'mores and star gazing. We had hoped for a relaxing, fun filled vacation without "entertaining" our kids with water parks, and arcades, and we accomplished it! And they LOVED it! We will be back! Thank you so much for our wonder "FAMILY" vacation! We have lots of cherished memories from this trip!

WOW!!!!
I can't begin to describe this wonderful cottage! The full screened front porch is divine! Very clean; ample linens; small but plentiful! Well stocked kitchen with a large pot for boiling those fresh shrimp!! VERY short walk to the beach and you can hear the waves and feel the breeze on the porch...Did I mention the screened porch? Alexandria is awesome to rent from, for example: Based on the above, we couldn't bring ourselves to leave on our departure date so, one phone call to Alexandria and we were set for an extra day! Trust me....we'll be back to this cottage next June!!!! Save me a week in June 2015!! Thanks VERY much!!!

The Magnificent Villa Mercedes
We are just back from a glorious week staying at Villa Mercedes. A party of 11 ranging in age from 3 to 83 the villa was perfect for our stay and we couldn’t have asked for more!
Fully fitted modern kitchen with everything you need; 6 bedrooms with really comfy beds, plenty of wardrobe space in each, lovely bed linen and towels; Lovely indoor rooms with plenty of space and even more space and seating outside.
There was always a sunny area and shady places but for us the stars of the show were the games room and the pool! This early in the year I thought it would be too cold for any of us to swim but the children loved it and were in there twice a day. Some of the bigger people loved it too.
The villa is ideally placed in the town, a short walk from the train and bus stations, plenty of shopping, restaurants and beaches.
No need for cars here but if you are driving there is plenty of parking inside the gates. Or take the train from the airport, cheap, clean and on time, stopping just a few hundred metres from the villa – walk it in minutes.
Thank you Ricardo and Trinidad for a lovely stay and lots of happy memories.

Two young girls, that brought their Dad and Mom
I will tell you this from the bottom of my heart...and I'm a man with two young girls.. we had one of the best times that we have ever had going down to this property.. sunsets were outrageous I could only show you by pictures.. the front porch was so nice at night to hang out and have a drink.. close to everythingand the beach did not have 6 million people on it which was great.. very good fishing and got out fished by girls, my daughter caught a Hammerhead shark, very cool..we had a great time at this house..we will defiantly be back.. The home owners are supper nice and have great ideas. The best was to have a fire on the beach and that night will be in my daughters minds forever.. thanks for sharing your house with my family, by the way I have not had a true S'mores scene I was a kid..no houses in front of you was great I could go on and on.. took fishing trip which was by the house great fun as well out fished by girls again.. I recommend this house if you really want to have fun!!!

Nice week in the Villa Mercedes
For our 40th wedding anniversary we wanted to go to the south of Spain with our children and grandchildren.
Searching the internet we found a villa in Fuengirola. Enough space to accomodate everybody, near the train station, beach and town center.
The pictures looked good and the price was right, so we made the booking.
On arriving we were surprised. Finding such a villa in the middle of the town. A big garden surrounded by walls and a gate. Safe for the children to play. A big house with enough rooms and also two appartments in the garden.
Everything you needed was available. Washing machine, dischwasher, two large fridges, very good beds, television, dvd player, etc.
So we spent a nice week in the Villa Mercedes and we were very lucky with the fine weather. Everybody was happy and the children, 1 till 5 years old had a nice big playground.
We recommand the Villa Mercedes to stay with family.

Unforgettable Holidays
We have spent an unforgettable holidays in this spectacular villa.
The villa is outstanding, it has all the details, just reformed with wooden beamed ceilings that givethe house a veryenchanting and cosy feeling, plus the 1000 m2 of garden.
It is located in the city centerand just a walk to the beach, really in the center of Fuengirola and the beach is just two minutes walking.
We have had a great time, everything was at hand (chiringuitos, restaurants, etc.) and, even more, we have enjoyed very much our dinners and barbecues in the garden.
It should not be forgotten that the villa has private parking. It was awesome!
We recommend it to everyone that wants to enjoy their holidays at the seaside. The location, the interior decorations, the attention we have received at every moment from the owners.
I have to say that the owners were very helpful and attentive, they gave usevery facility. For its price and service, we will repeat again for sure. From here we would like to thank the owners for our great holidays and wehope to come backnext year
