Breakfast was not included, but very close by a breakfast/lunch spot was open! We had dinner in the restaurant one night - it was superbe!
It would have been nice to have a collapsable stand in the room to put our suitcase on!

Loved the large shower and that we had a bar and food right below us. Staff were exceptional. Felt very safe and relaxed. The drinks at the bar are a must do and the food. The bed was very comfy as well. Very clean well kept. Would stay again!

Location - handy for exmouth market and Farringdon
Above a loud bar with no proper check In process
Narrow stairs which my partner fell down in the morning so could no longer walk for the rest of trip - no lifts

Very friendly greeting on arrival and greet bar staff. Incredibly comfortable bed and lovely clean room
Maybe more milk pods coffee pods and teabags in the room, but we could have asked for more I’m sure.

The room was ok for one. The shower was powerful and hot. It was quiet and didn't get disturbance from the pub below. Easy access. Easy to find. Clean towels half way through stay. Warm and cosy eventually.
Lack of coffee facilities and sometimes staff were not around to ask. Rooms were cold to start but an additional heater was provided which helped. A choice of beverages in the room would have been better. A telephone I case of emergencies too.

Nice rooms with beds that you can actually sleep in . Clean good facilities and terrific value for money
No breakfast but plenty of great places around in Exmouth market/ Farringdon

Brilliant stay, much quieter than I expect from the other reviews. Great hosts and perfect location for central London base.
Windows to bathroom makes for very intimate stay

Wasn't perfectly clean (good enough)

Good location, friendly staff, contactless check in, good-sized room with nice decor, comfortable bed, nice view
Issues with the bathroom that were fixed. No coffee pods for the coffee machine in the room, but the manager was kind enough to make us coffees downstairs at the bar.

Small but very well laid out beautiful room. We had a very nice stay. The owner and staff are super friendly and helpful. You’re not right in the city center but the nearby Farringdon station gets you everywhere you need to go. Stayed in London before and it was very loud at night. In this hotel you get a peaceful and quiet night :)

The lovely staff and stylish building could not compensate for the bed-bug infestation in my room (14).
I was devoured by bed bugs in Room 14. I complained about this, received a refund, but it's now two weeks later and I am still applying cortisone cream.
Before you book, confirm that the hotel has treated their rooms. I had complained to booking.com and NEVER received any follow up. AVOID

good location
unfortunately bar was closed

The room was lovely with a great design. The location was great. Tea and coffee facilities in the room although I didn’t make use of them. the room was very clean. Hair dryer in the room and iron in corridor for when required.
There were no hooks in the shower room which was annoying with towel placement.
I was woken in the night but other guests opening their door as sounded like our room door was being opened.
I would suggest teabags come in single packets rather than open teabags as this put me off using them.
I messaged the property twice and called a few times but couldn’t get through to anyone.

The location is great, we were at 20mn by walk from King's Cross and 5-10mn from Farringdon station. The staff was nice, a special thank to Dylan whom welcomed us and took our luggages. The room is cosy, nicely decorated. The bed is VERY comfortable.
The only problem is the noice. The hotel is located on top of a bar, and the night is quite noisy as people are going outside to smoke. But globally it was great.

the rooms are pretty, thats all
it’s not a hotel, they are like airbnbs, just rooms over a pub, no hotel services. they should say that in the description.

location is great
stayed here before. this time the room looked tired. the headboard was missing. the light switch was glitchy and it looked a bit tired.

A compact yet beautifully designed room in an interesting and quiet location. We were warmly greeted and appreciated the friendliness of all the staff even though our Interraction with them was limited due to the fact that the pub was closing when we arrived just before 6pm on a Sunday. A super efficient heating system meant that we were cosy on a cold night. The bed was extremely comfortable and the monsoon shower very invigorating.
We totally empathised with the reason for closing early on a Sunday but it would have been good to know in advance. Other than that, there were a few issues that have been mentioned across numerous reviews over the last year but which seem to remain unaddressed: The main lights in the bathroom didn’t work. The choice for hot drinks in the room was limited to cappuccino pods and black tea bags with no milk provided; there were no instructions for coffee machine and we ended up with a cold and insipid cappuccino (little more than weak black coffee with foam on the top which quickly dissipated). The hot tap in the sink ran cold regardless of how long we let it run.

the bed was so comfortable! and the smart tv was nice after long days of waking… the overhead shower was the best feature of the room!

Tasteful rooms. Nice gastro pub below. Good Clerkenwell location.

We booked the room because of the pub downstairs, but it was closed for a few days which hadn't been advertised when we booked it, and there were no tea of coffee making facilities in the room because the coffee machine was broken and no kettle was provided. I received a reply to my message... but after we'd left the following morning. So overall I can't say it felt like value for money.

Very friendly and extremely helpful staff.
Nice, traditional feel to the building. Convenient having a place to eat/drink downstairs.
