Lovely little cottage, well maintained with lots of little extras, (including the fresh free range eggs that were waiting for us when we arrived) lovely hosts and of course Poppy who came to see us the last morning of our stay, wouldn't hesitate to stay here again the next time we are visiting this area (or going to the races @ Uttoxeter)

We had such a wonderful stay at Poppy's Barn. The property was exactly what we were looking for - beautiful setting, very comfortable, quiet & welcoming. My daughter spent ages enjoying the grounds, building special places for the fairies to visit. The host was absolutely lovely - I hope we are able to stay here again someday. Highly recommend!

A wonderful property which was already decorated for Christmas, my two little girls loved the cosines of it along with the sofa bed!
Seeing the animals wander by kept them captivated with the odd walk outside to talk to them all in amongst playing with their Christmas presents.
A wonderful get away in the great countryside!

Tracey was lovely and made a great fuss of our granddaughter, who loved all the animals.
The property was very compact but comfortable and had all you needed.
The games room was a definite bonus.

Myself and my two granddaughters ( aged 7 and 5 years) spent six nights at the property. We were welcomed so warmly and shown around the property. I was made to feel that if I had any questions, at any time, than I could ask them.
My granddaughters were very interested to see the sheep, chickens and fish. It was a perfectly safe environment for them due to the entrance gates. Also due to the layout of the property I knew if they needed me at night then I would beable to hear them.
The location of the property was so peaceful day and night. Also beautiful countryside views. There are many visitor attractions in the area so no need for a dull moment. I would highly recommend staying at this property. You will not be disappointed.

This is a lovely cosy cottage away from it all. Perfect if you want to escape into the countryside. Leave behind noise, breath fresh air, hear chickens and not the ping of e mail. The bed setee is ok but the bedding cannot tuck in so it disappears overnight. A sleeping bag would be better. The shower is superb and the hosts friendly and on site if needed. Perfect for a get away from it all break.

Lovely self-contained property
This is the second time we have stayed at Poppies Barn, this time for 4 nights. Tracy & Darren are perfect hosts, very friendly and keep the property in very good condition. We are left to ourselves and not bothered at all but know they are in the farmhouse on site if we need help with anything. We’re already booked to go back to Poppies Barn twice next year as it isn’t very convenient for when we take part at the Curborough Sprint Circuit. Chris & Maggie

Perfect little cottage for our family of three!
We booked this cottage for our family trip to Alton towers. Tracey greeted us on our arrived was really pleasant considering we got stuck in traffic and arrived rather late. We couldn’t have picked a more perfect little cottage for our stay, and when my partner forgot his toothbrush and thought we were going to have to find a convenience store closeby, we actually looked under the sink to actually find a toiletry set which included a toothbrush! Will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to Stoke, thank you so much!

Small cottage with everything you need. Friendly owners and even more friendly dog and chickens. I kept finding things.... pack of cards, binoculars, colouring pencils...... we were lucky with the weather but theyve thought of things to keep you entertained (as uf the chickens weren't enough..... oh and their eggs). I would happily recommend staying here, we loved it.

It was a pleasure to stay with Tracey and Darran, albeit for just 2 nights, but we're already looking forward to a longer stay in August. Fresh free range eggs were a nice touch and the property had everything we needed.

Small but perfect fit for our little family of 3. We were welcomed by Tracy and a bowl full of fresh eggs from the chickens.
Our daughter loved the daily visits from poppy the dog, looking at the fish, seeing the newly hatched chick and playing in the games room. We loved it and will be planning another visit.

2 night stay in a cosy converted barn
We were given good info how to find the farm. Darren was there to greet us and show us round. The property is small but has been well designed so you don't feel claustrophobic. There was a hiccup but I'm sure it will be sorted before the next guests arrive.

A real little gem. Very convenient for us visiting family in Lichfield are.
Tracey and Darren were great hosts and the cottage had everything we needed, even a washing machine, which was very useful. The cottage was in beautiful countryside, it was clean, well equipped and ideal for a couple. Poppy, was a welcome visitor and the antics of the chickens provided endless entertainment. Add the that new baby chicks, fresh eggs for breakfast, plus some really good weather and we had the recipe for a lovely relaxing stay.
Thanks for everything.

Cosy, beautifully presented cottage
Tracey was an absolutely lovely host, very friendly and was always available to help. We had a very comfortable, relaxing stay in the cottage which is in a beautiful rural location. We’d definitely like to return in the summer to enjoy more of the outside space. There’s also a very friendly dog called Poppie who was an absolute joy. Would highly recommend, thank you!

Perfect little get away, everything provided in this little cottage with owners living on site. Beautiful rural position but easy access to main roads. Perfect for visiting the National Arboretum which was our reason for being there. Highly recommend, although it is small, it's perfectly comfortable. We will definitely return!

Quaint and cosy holiday with excellent facilities in a beautiful location.
A return stay for us and our experience once again exceeded our expectations. Tracey and Darran are outstanding hosts and made us feel extremely welcome. The property and its location are idyllic - Stanley was in his element - feeding the chickens... running in the paddock... playing with Poppie the dog... using the games room - the list is endless. Thank you Tracey and Darran for making our stay so special and memorable. We will return.

Thank you so much Tracey and Darran for making us feel so very welcome and at home. We absolutely loved our stay. The cottage is delightful - beautifully clean and really cosy. The setting is just so lovely - little Stan was in his element and talked none stop about the chickens, fish, the games room, trampoline and his absolute most favourite feature - Poppie the dog - all our way home.
