Excellent communication with hosts, well-equipped property, comfortable stay, welcoming hosts, beautiful gardens, suitable for families and friends. Highly recommend.

We had everything we needed, the kitchen is especially well-equipped and we did lots of cooking. The house is clearly thoughtfully put together, but some of the decor could do with updating (i.e. the victorian era marmalade poster in the kitchen has to go). The garden is stunning and perfectly maintained with beautiful flowers which really made our stay magical. Thank you to Jackie and Michael for setting us up for a perfect weekend.

So beautifully presented, imaculately clean and Jackie has thought of everything youll possibly need. Perfect for all the family. Lovely village with 2 local parks for kiddies. Only downside for us was 1 walkable pub that doesnt serve food and opens at 7pm. But everything is 5- 10min drive. Gorgeous gardens and a really enjoyable stay.

We had a lovely weekend in The Old Bakery. Such luck with the weather so we were able to really utilise the beautiful garden. Lots of utensils and pots and pans for the amount. The cleanliness of these items wasn’t perfect but no hassle, we just washed as we went. Dishwasher provided as well so no problem.

This was just what we needed for a relaxing break for our family and friends. Lots of room, well equipped and beautiful surroundings. Close enough to Oxford for a visit.

Fantastic house in a great location
We booked this property to accommodate us whilst we were going to the F1 at Silverstone. We were met bang on check in time by our host Jackie who promptly gave us a tour of the house and amenities. They even went to go as far as printing off a missed ticket and bring it round later in the evening - very accomodating. We spent the afternoon in watching the Qualifying with some nibbles and cooked up a dinner for the evening. Everything we needed was available in the house. Plenty of beds available and a very comfortable living room to relax in. Unfortunately it had been raining so we couldn't enjoy the lovely garden, but there's always next year! Thanks again Jackie

Mollington: The Old Bakery
Excellent location, good circular walks from property, Banbury's Spiceball Park is great, good local shops and all the main shops. Easy drive to venues, we had a couple of perfect BBQ's on the brick BBQ. Great stay.

What a lovely cottage
We stayed for 3 night over new year. We were a party of 2 families, 4 adults and 4 children in total. Not forgetting the 2 doggies of course! Jackie & Michael could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The cottage is absolutely lovely and so well furnished. We had everything we could possibly need and we really enjoyed our stay. The cottage is fairly remote in terms of amenities, but that is exactly what we wanted. If you do need anything, it is a relatively short drive. We will definitely be back and can’t thank Jackie & Michael enough :)

Nice comfortable property
This was perfect for our family Christmas - five adults and four children. The house was beautifully decorated and welcoming and accommodated us all without a problem. Kind and hospitable owner.

Pre-Christmas international family in a perfect Home for the occasion.
We enjoyed our stay enormously, was just perfect in our circumstances as one family residing in different countries + the creation by the owners of an outstanding Christmas atmosphere. We were fretted like friends, with numerous personal touches. Lovely home atmosphere.

Lovely cottage with everything you need for a quiet, country retreat
Stayed with 9 friends for the weekend. The cottage is lovely and spacious. The village is beautiful but no local shop or anything and the pub closes for a bit in the day, no food served or anything so you need to plan ahead. There’s an Aldi and Tesco 10 mins away in the car. We walked 40 mins to Cropredy and had a drink in the Brasenose Arms which was lovely. The hosts were very welcoming and showed us around. The cottage has everything you need. Only thing was the description said there were towels and a hairdryer but we didn’t see any, only hand towels in the bathrooms. The double beds are small doubles, and the singles are actually camp beds but they were comfy. Not a lot of room though if you’re above average sized. Beautiful garden area and a small drive for 3 cars. There’s also toys and things for small children if you require them. Music has to be down by 10pm and you do get a polite reminder, so if you want somewhere for a mad party this place isn’t for you. Overall a fabulous location for a relaxing weekend with family or friends and good value for money too. Great host and beautiful cottage, we had a great stay and definitely want to book again

Difficult, but cannot recommend
This is a difficult review because the owner of the property, Jackie, was unfailingly nice and responsive, and when eg. the downstairs loo broke it was fixed immediately. The gardens are beautiful. The property itself is old fashioned, dark and dusty. It had only been superficially cleaned and there was a lot of dust and spiders etc in corners. The bedding is very old and heavy, mattresses uncomfortable. Small beds, and as many packed into each bedroom as will fit — I don’t think realistically more than 3 adults/ 3 children would be comfortable here although probably 10 beds. There were no basic supplies in the kitchen (no salt, pepper, cooking oil) and parcels for the owner piled up outside and I had to ask for them to be removed. Most importantly, and this cannot be blamed on anyone, the location of the house is not great — although a fairly large village, there is nothing to do in Mollington. No shop, no proper pub (certainly not one that serves food) and no church. In order to get anywhere, you must drive and cross over the M40 which rumbles in the background and in order to get to any nice “Cotswold” villages (Burford, Daylesford, Broadway, Chipping Campden) it’s at least 40 minutes by car. I am sorry to leave a negative review, truly. The house has potential.

Great property.
Beautiful property. Very well equipped and maintained. Jackie and Michael were a delight to deal with - they made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property comfortably accommodated our party of 4 adults and 5 children. We would absolutely book again.

New Years stay
The Old Bakery was the perfect setting for our New Years stay. The property is spacious, clean and well-equipped. Jackie, the owner, also very kindly met us when we arrived to give us a tour. Lots of lovely walks in the nearby area and pubs for lunch. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Lovely old house with secluded garden
We were 9 adults and 2 children and we all loved our stay at The Old Bakery. Beautiful gardens for the children to play safely.
Well stocked with everything you could want.
Great for some quality family time in an old house with lots of character.

Aangenaam groot huis
Vriendelijke en behulpzame eigenaars, proper en ruim huis, mooie tuin en omgeving, alles aanwezig wat je nodig hebt. Enkel jammer van het lawaai van de autostrade.
Bedankt voor het aangename verblijf.

Simply Amazing
The Old Bakery was as beautiful in real life as it was in the pictures, absolutely beautiful. Idyllic setting and with such a fabulous sunny weekend, we were able to sit out and appreciate the amazing garden.
Jackie and Michael have thought of everything, thank you so much for an amazing long weekend. Our party of 10 had so much fun and your house and hospitality made our holiday so special xxx

Hen do/ birthday get together
Gorgeous property. Very well maintained. Jackie was extremely welcoming and accommodating, waiting for us to arrive so she could greet us despite us being held up in traffic. Gorgeous location with excellent facilities. We would definitely come back her again!

birthday get-together!
We had a great couple of days celebrating my birthday with our grown-up 'kids' & our toddler grandson. The description of The Old Bakery was accurate & the facilities, particularly the kitchen were great. The property was immaculately clean & well maintained. It was just right for us as we needed 3 double rooms & a room with a cot. We really enjoyed sitting in the garden & playing with our grandson. We mainly 'self-catered' but the 1 meal we had out at the Wharf Inn, Fenney Compton was rated by our group as rather disappointing, so we couldn't recommend that I'm afraid. However we'd definitely recommend The Old Bakery!!
