The wildlife was just beautiful - such a large variety of birds. We Kayaked right outside of the cottage and just had a relaxing and peaceful stay. Love the place.

We loved the cabin. Spotlessly clean. The hosts are kind and accommodating. Close to all the amenities in Cape Porpoise and near to the surrounding area of the Kennebunks. We would love to stay again.

Staying at this charming little cottage, on the edge of the tidal cove in Cape Porpoise, couldn't have been a more perfect location for my husband and I to escape to so we could celebrate our anniversary and my birthday! The views are so tranquil and it was just so private and quiet. We fell in love with this cottage, and we also got to meet the owners who could not have been friendlier. We highly recommend the Waterfront Cottage.

Grew up in a lake side cottage I. The 50s that my family built.
Paddy Creek transported me back in time. Loved it!

Wonderful
Absolutely beautiful property and a wonderful stay. Great location. Close to everything in Kennebunkport & southern Maine. Even easy to day trip to Portland. The owners were very nice and communicative. The property was exceptionally clean and well kept. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Cozy Cottage, Gorgeous Location
I don't know about you, but I kind of hold my breath when I get to a property that was booked online. Will it be what it looked to be in the pictures and description? The happy surprise here was that the cottage was even more attractive and the setting more beautiful than the pictures could capture. It was a great visit: excellent communication from Joan and perhaps the best-stocked rental property I've been in. The screened- in/glassed-in cottage-length porch is a great enhancement, especially in cooler or rainy weather, and was a great location for brunch with local family members.
My husband has limited walking ability, and, with care, he did fine at the property. (The immediate entrance to the cottage is a short downhill slope with lots of roots and rocks.) Joan was very helpful in responding to my questions about possible barriers. (To VRBO: I would encourage all hosts to post more detailed information in their descriptions for potential guests with mobility limitations.)

Maine Getaway
This Maine Getaway was a surprise for my wife. Neither of us have been there before, but it was on our bucket list. Neither Maine nor this cottage disappointed. Both were fantastic. This cottage is situated in charming Cape Porpoise. It is CLEAN, clearly loved, maintained with care and decorated with charming memorabilia symbolizing the area as well as the owners' lives. My wife and I loved sitting on the pier, noshing on cheese and crackers, and a bourbon, watching the tide roll in. The owners were awesome, they could not have been more accommodating. All in all, our first visit to Maine, this cottage in Cape Porpoise and Kennebunkport was awesome, memorable and we hope to be back!!

Another perfect stay on Cape Porpoise
The memories made at this wonderful cottage, in the best location, are still with me for a long time. It makes me wish the cottage would be available in the winter! But I’ll be patient and return once again in the spring! Thank you for another wonderful stay. Wendy

Perfect refreshing getaway
First, I must let you know that Phil and Joan are kind, gracious, accommodating hosts. As for the cottage, it is so cozy and quaint that it invites you to kick back and relax. There is a view from virtually every window, and there are lots of windows, and the views are breathtaking. The porch is magnificent. When we were there (late September) the area around the cottage was wonderfully quiet and peaceful. As an aside, if you like lighthouses, you can just see Goat Island Light from the yard, if you stand near the pier and look toward the open ocean. Bring binoculars if you have them so you can get a good look at it.

We loved every second of our stay here, it was just what the Dr ordered. If your looking for an escape then look no further. The house has been loved for many years and it’s apparent. We will 100% be back! Thanks Joan

The essence of Maine
A nice cottage on the water’s edge gave us a beautiful getaway. The setting was picturesque as you saw the changing foliage, the Maine rocky coastline and beautiful waterfront homes along the shoreline. A great place to stay!

Take Three!
Our third stay at the Cottage was another fabulous experience. We just adore this picturesque location where nature abounds. The tides roll in and out, and the birds enjoy nature’s feast. The cottage is so adorable, comfortable and relaxing. We kayaked out to the lighthouse and the friendly caretaker welcomed us in. It’s actually open to the public! We thoroughly enjoyed our quintessential Maine experience! We’ll be back! Thank you to our gracious hosts Joan and Phil!

Thumbs Up For Paddy Creek Cottage!
We thoroughly enjoyed staying at the Paddy Creek Cottage. It was just the right size for us. The cottage was immaculate. Everything we needed was there. (We did have to bring towels and a hairdryer) It was secluded, quiet and beautiful and the weather cooperated! Thank you Mother Nature. We had an opportunity to use the fireplace on 2 evenings and it was just what we needed to complete the atmosphere. We met neighbors staying at the house behind us and they were so lovely and friendly. Unfortunately, we did not meet the owner in person, but did text a couple of times to let her know how much we were enjoying our stay.

We love this place so much, this is our third year!
Peaceful and charming. Love everything about this classic old cottage by the sea, the gorgeous view of the sea, the sweet owners, the quiet dirt road.... it’s our favorite spot for R&R and daily kayaking to the lighthouse.

Lovely, quiet escape on a tidal inlet
For the second summer in a row, we spent a week in lovely Cape Porpoise at the Cottage on Paddy Creek. It's a lovely, peaceful cottage on the water at the end of a private road. We will be back again.

Cozy Cottage
My fiance and I had a lovely stay at this cottage. We have not been to Maine since we were in our younger years and having spent all our vacations in Vermont and New Hampshire, we decided to give Maine some love. I am so glad we did and so glad that we picked this cottage.
The hosts were amazing! When we arrived, we had a little bit of a hard time finding the keys. I think we were a little drawn off by the family staying at the main house, we felt we did not want to be invasive. They called us back within 10 minutes, and directions were outlined. Once we found the keys, the rest of the stay went well.
Since we both love to cook, it was comforting to know that there were many pans, utensils, dishes provided. You do, however, have to bring your own spices, oils, etc., which we did. We love to cook.
We also love to kayak, but looking at the weather forecast, we decided not to bring them. So glad we didn't because if you plan to paddle, you really need to plan around the tides. We were amazed at how the inlet totally drained out leaving surrounding boats in sand, and when the tide came in, it came in with a fury. We found the binoculars hanging and we loved watching the waves crashing in at the coming of the tide. We hope to visit again in warmer weather and utilize our kayaks.
TOTALLY recommend if you want water, awesome sunrises, and a relaxing stay. Did I say the hosts were amazing?

Two visits in three months. That says it all!
I came to the Paddy Creek Cottage with my son in July. I loved it so much, I brought my husband and our kayaks this month. We had so much fun. Even though it rained a bit during the week, that didn’t dampen our stay. 😎. Idyllic setting, super cute cottage and very nice hosts. I know we’ll be back!

Excellent family vacation spot! Spectacular view of the water from rustic and spacious cottage.
We loved this place and its tranquil location so much last year, we came back. Cozy, rustic and spacious—-this cottage worked great for our family of 4. We rented paddleboards and a kayak for the week, and planned all our days around the tides. Paddled out to Goat Island Lighthouse during high tide. Read in the hammock or shopped in town during low tide. We used the dock for jumping into the water and picnicking. The beautiful and spacious screened in porch now also has windows that close—which was a huge help during some rainy days. The owner Joan is welcoming and responsive. We were so sad to leave.

Wonderful cottage. Beautiful scenary. Great hosts.
After an absence of several years, we recently returned to Cape Porpoise for vacation and to visit family. What a find in the Cottage on Paddy Creek! The daily, slow-paced show of rising and receding tides in a quiet, peaceful cove off the Atlantic was the perfect remedy to forget about the normal stressors of work life. The cottage was everything we hoped for (and more). The highlight was clearly the porch (where we spent most of our time). Due to flooding in the off season, it had recently undergone extensive renovation including installation of windows which provided plenty of screened ventilation when opened, but could be closed for chilly mornings. The porch was perfect for watching the aforementioned tides and large enough to host family (a party of 8) for a 4th of July dinner with after dinner cards and conversation. The kitchen is good-sized and fully functional. Plus there is a gas grill outside. We prepared and ate most of our meals at the cottage (lobsters and other seafood from the lobster pound on the other side of the inlet on Langsford Road—try the soft-shelled lobsters). The master bedroom was very comfortable. The day beds in the living room were a little small for our adult son, but would be more than adequate for younger children. The fireplace, while not used in the July heat, has us thinking about maybe returning sometime during cold season. Our hosts, Joan and Phil, were wonderful. Very responsive to our requests prior to arrival and friendly and responsive while we were there. We plan to be back next year.

Peaceful and charming
We loved the cottage! It was well-equipped and in perfect condition. The covered porch is a perfect pace to enjoy coffee in the morning and wine in the evening. We loved walking through the neighborhood and to the local lobster/seafood shack. The drive in to town and Ogunquit is short and easy.

Charming waterfront cottage
This is a lovely place spotlessly clean in a very quiet spot the property has been recently refurbished after flooding which has enhanced both it's appearance and comfort. Our stay was blessed by almost perfect weather a hard place to tear yourself away from.
