About this house rental
This 2000 sq.ft. cottage is part of a 2-unit building. The other half (with separate entrance) is for our own use/guests.
It is an "upside down house," with bedrooms on the 1st floor and living areas upstairs to maximize views from the living area.
On the first floor there are 3 bedrooms, each with their own en-suite full bathroom. Two bedrooms each have king size beds, and one bedroom has 2 twins. The bedrooms are small but efficient. There is also a mudroom with powder room and laundry on this floor.
The 2nd floor is an open floor plan with living room, dining room, fireplace, kitchen, wet bar, and a small outdoor deck.
Enjoy gorgeous views of Cape Porpoise in a brand new, very high-end cottage. Walk to groceries, gourmet food and restaurants, or take a 5 -minute drive to Dock Square and nearby beaches.
Please note the house is not on the water and does not have water access, but does have lovely views over and between the houses in front. The location in relation to the coast can be viewed in the aerial photo.
The houses in the neighborhood are situated closely together. You will often see (and hear) other residents in their yards or walking on the road. It is a cozy atmosphere with the hustle and bustle of Cape Porpoise Harbor.
The 3rd floor is a TV room with a pullout queen sofa, full bathroom, and small outdoor deck.
The 2nd and 3rd floor both have really lovely views of Cape Porpoise.
Although kids are welcome, we would not call this a very "kid-friendly" home with the 2 decks, new furnishings and no playroom.
Private chef and babysitting recommendations are available.
Guests have a private entrance and access to the whole cottage, which is half of the entire building. The cottage is part of a larger compound of houses owned by the same extended family. You may see us or our guests entering the other side of the building, but the cottage has a completely private entrance and a fenced-in backyard. We live next door some of the time but will leave you to your vacation and give you your privacy unless you need assistance or want to meet.
Relax and enjoy any of the beautiful four seasons of Maine in a very comfortable and well-appointed home. The views are the best from fall to spring when the trees have lost their leaves, but are still great in the summer too.

Charming property with water views. Even better in person than it looks in photos. Conveniently located to everything the area has to offer. Quiet neighborhood with kind people. We would definitely stay again.

I will keep this briefer than I would like because there seems to be a limit. This home and our host were as close to perfect as you can get. First of all, it is hard to beat a brand new home where everything is in top shape and you feel like you are the first people to ever stay in it.
It is different in that all three bedrooms are on the first floor with it’s own complete beautiful full bath. The laundry room and another half bath are on the first floor, also. This was actually brilliant planning because the higher you go in the house, the views become more sensational. The home is not directly on the water but only one house away.
The second floor is where all the living area is including the huge kitchen, marble countertops, with a large island and high end appliances, and every essential you could possibly need in a kitchen, and more. Again, all brand new.
As part of this second floor is two separate seating areas and a large dining table. There is also seating for four at the island. Windows surround this room for the very peaceful views of the water and high end homes in the the neighborhood.
Btw, right out your door you can take a walk amongst homes each with amazing landscaping and water views. The entire community is immaculate and picture worthy. I couldn’t stop taking pictures of the homes, harbor and boats and lobster shacks, etc.
Third floor is the TV room with the best views of all and a full bath. Could be used as bedroom for one.
LOVED IT!!
