About this cottage rental

Wonderful lakefront cottage with a sun porch, sunny deck, 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, beautiful sunsets, and your own private boat dock. Enjoy a quiet family getaway as you relax on the deck while your kids fish and swim. Ideal for families looking to relax and disconnect.

The kitchen is fully outfitted and cottage includes a gas grill, heat, and air conditioning. You will also have the use of kayaks, paddle boards, a canoe, and a row boat with a motor. Pond only allows electric motors so it is nice and quiet. We have numerous fishing poles, fishing tackle, and life jackets of all sizes.

Includes cable and Wi-Fi.

The cottage does NOT include a dishwasher or washer/dryer. The laundromat is named Washerwoman of Litchfield. They can be reached at 860-567-9917.

The cottage is located 2 hours from NYC and fifteen minutes from local wineries and beautiful Connecticut sightseeing including hiking trails at White Memorial (White Memorial is a 4000-acre nature preserve with miles of hiking and biking trails--trail map available at the cottage). Wonderful restaurants and shopping are located in nearby Litchfield, CT. We also have many board games, Foosball, old fashioned Atari, a Wii, and air hockey. There is also a host of DVD's and a DVD player, as well.

The cottage outfitted with both heat and A/C and also makes a perfect winter get away. The lake is great for ice skating and ice fishing. We are also a short drive to several downhill ski mountains including Mohawk Mountain and Ski Sundown and close by to White Memorial for cross country skiing.

Lakeview was awesome, cozy cottage with everything you needed, sitting out on the deck having coffee, or watching the sunset at night with a fire lite. Very relaxing atmosphere. For the price you cannot beat it!

Absolutely adorable cottage on the lake! We loved this quiet little house—we read books, slept in, grilled dinner and watched the sunrise and sunset on the deck. Loved every minute of it. We hope to return someday!

The property was great, and fulfilled our needs to see a little bit of fall! The cottage was comfortable, and had all the amenities we needed! We enjoyed sitting on the dock, and even caught a couple of fish! The host provided linens as we were traveling by plane from out of town, that was appreciated. However, there was no bath mat, or mats for the back door (it rained one day, and a mat was needed!) The only other issue was there were no trash bags provided, so taking the trash with us was difficult! Overall, it was such a lovely place and we would definitely return!

We had another wonderful stay at this well equipped lake cottage, and we plan to return. The lake is quiet with only paddling or electric motors. Close to White memorial hiking trails, and also to restaurants in Bantam, Bethlehem, and Litchfield.

Greatly enjoyed this stay - beautiful location. Some minor quibble with mattress comfort and not the best pots and pans/utensils however these were not deal breakers by any means. Would highly recommend.

My wife and I came back for a return visit to this comfortable, well-equipped cottage perfectly situated with a large deck as well as dock on a pretty lake. Swimming was great and the surrounding area is very pretty. Maura couldn't have been more responsive as a host. It is located off a small road (10 per hour speed limit!) with access only for the owners' properties, so no through-traffic sounds.

Great property. Lake views from the house and sun porch. Loved hanging out on the deck, fishing off the dock, and boating. Very well stocked kitchen. I found their soft queen mattress is better for me than my own firm one. Maura was very helpful, kind, and responsive. Already booked again!

We had such a great time during our stay! Maura was so attentive to us, we were there during a snowstorm, so she checked on us several times. The property was beautiful and had so much for our boys to do. We were even able to take advantage of the canoe a few days after the storm! We will definitely plan another trip to the cottage! I really enjoyed staying at this cottage. It was clean and had many extras for families to use while staying. From games and puzzles to fishing rods and a fire pit. My favorite was laying on the dock at night star gazing. What a beautiful view!! Although we went during the winter we still loved staying here enjoying nature and the cozy cottage. I am thankful that it was shared with us!! I look forward to another stay in the future

We had a wonderful Christmas at the cottage. A few bumps along the way with power outage and no water but Maura and her brother were on top of it. Great location and very peaceful stay on the lake.

We had a great time at the Long Meadow Pond cottage. The neighborhood was quiet and the house was located right on the water. We didn't get to enjoy water activities due to the time of year but enjoyed a great view of the sky during a meteor shower and seeing the ducks and seagulls during the day. Maura was a great, very responsive host. The cottage was able to fit all five of us comfortably and we would definitely stay here again.

I loved the lake house! It was the perfect little quiet place away from the business of life. Also the view of the lake from the back porch was gorgeous! I can say that is my favorite spot in the house! I can say the area was nice and quiet, not too busy, but for the time of year, I’m not surprised. I would absolutely recommend the lake house! I would love to come back and try some kayaking on the lake when the weather is warmer. I can also say the Maura was very quick in responding my messages.

Lovely cottage on a small lakefront lot that has everything needed for an active and fun Lake experience: kayak, dock,, rods and reels, and more. Well-equipped indoors as well. The only problem was the uncomfortable bed. Maura was a very responsive hostess.

The property is beautiful, just as described. It was amazing to us being from Connecticut already and seeing how just a 45 minute drive to this corner of the state is like a completely different world. Such a peaceful, relaxing, and scenic part of the state! The property is very well upkept and just as described. The owner gave us a great reccomendation of where to visit for our Anniversary Dinner and it did not disappoint. The only flaw we found was that the queen bed mattress is in need of replacing. The moment you sit on it, it flattens like a pancake. Its seen better days. However, that would not prevent us from renting again as it was a wonderful stay. Thanks again for allowing us to enjoy your little slice of Heaven!

My wife and I agreed with all the positive reviews of the house and location. We spent a few very enjoyable days at this clean, cheerful. comfortable and well-equipped cottage. We much enjoyed swimming in the lake, visiting nearby Litchfield, walking the beautiful Little Pond Boardwalk trail of the White Memorial foundation (Litchfield area). And we were super impressed and captivated by Litchfield Historical Society's collections and exhibitions. Maura was extremely responsive in her communications with us but in any event nothing was lacking in the house or in our stay.

Perfect weekend again!

This is our second stay at Maura's cottage. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and enjoying the wonderful views! The first night was chilly so we made a fire in the firepit and stayed on the deck past sunset. We spend most of the time outdoors enjoying the fresh air, sunshine, kayaks and paddleboards. We will definitely be back again!
