Déception

Pour être tout à fait honnête, pas grand chose !

Vétusté, couvre lit et traversin d'un autre temps, mobilier des années 50 Dangerosité des escaliers et marche à la porte d'entrée de la chambre qui, si vous êtes encore dans votre sommeil et que vous avez besoin d'aller la nuit au WC qui se trouve sur le palier à l'extérieur de la chambre, vous mène directement au cimetière si vous loupez la marche ! Chaleur d'hôpital dans la chambre, pourtant la climatisation y est bien installée mais comme par hasard pas de télécommande dans la chambre pour l'allumer. Lorsque nous le signalons le lendemain, l'hôte accuse sans complexe sa femme de ménage en lui faisant porter la faute car elle l'aurait soit disant mise ailleurs...Il me semble pourtant que c'est de la responsabilité de l'hôte de veiller à ce que tous les services soient opérationnels et qu'il ne manque rien dans une chambre. Peut-être aurions nous pu dormir la fenêtre ouverte s'il n'y avait pas eu un défilé incessant de voitures sur la route en contrebas ainsi qu'une sorte de départementale en plus un peu plus bas... Alors pour ce qui est de l'aspect "calme" présenté sur l'annonce, il faudra sans doute s'interroger sur la véracité des commentaires. Nous sommes très étonnés et perplexes quant aux commentaires élogieux de plus de 500 personnes qui subliment cet endroit comme étant paradisiaque. Rien de tout cela pour notre part. Même le soit disant petit déjeuner extraordinaire nous a déçu... Photos bien arrangées mais trompeuses. Bref, ne mérite certainement pas les bonnes notes données par les voyageurs, si elles sont bien réelles !?

Un acccueil exceptionnel qui donne envie d'y revenir

Tout près du centre, une maison pleine de charme, et un superbe point de vue. La propriétaire est aux petits soins , et pleine d'humour.

Pas de climatisation dans notre chambre, ce qui en soi n'est pas essentiel, sauf pendant la canicule.

Séjour très agréable

Maison avec beaucoup de charme, à proximité immédiate du centre ancien. Logement spacieux, confortable, lit au top, salle de bains fonctionnelle. Petit déjeuner très complet. Stationnement facile dans la rue. Cerise sur le gâteau : l'hôte est très sympathique, donne des indications sur les sites à voir. Nous recommandons cette adresse.

Séjour plus que parfait

Tous, notre hôte, l’accueil, l’établissement, le confort, la proximité avec tout. Il n’y avait aucun bémol. Je recommande à 300%, les yeux fermés.

Ideally located just off the town centre, but only 10 minutes walk to the middle.

Very helpful, friendly owner. Lovely breakfast too

No problem for us, but stairs are quite steep if you have mobility issues. Lock up garage available but quite expensive, although very convenient.

Very mixed feelings. Madam made the stay worthwhile

The reception was great. Continental breakfast was OK

difficult to find also with GPS. parking in the street nearby if you are lucky. old standards. Bathroom outside of the room. No cheese or ham for breakfast. very anonymous location, no signs whatsoever. No restaurants in the vicinity, tough hill to climb walking to the city center

Very Enjoyable

The property grows on you. We were received by a lovely lady. She looked after us and made us feel at home. The continental breakfast is a nice and generous spread. It is very close to the city centre but yet away from the youthful energy of the city. Perfect for us Very good night sleep

The host was very kind and helpful. The spot is very quiet, and yet at 5-10 mins from the downtown area. The room is very comfy and you have that feeling of sleeping at your grandma’s house.

We had a lovely holiday in the beautiful old city of Angouleme and enjoyed our stay in the property.

The rooms in the Chambres d'Hotes were lovely, it was especially nice to be able to have breakfast in the conservatory. Madame Corolian made us feel welcome and was very helpful. The breakfasts were good and we had plenty of choice. The house is in a convenient location, just a few minutes walk from the city centre.

Just 2 very small points - there was no bin in the bedroom and not enough coat hangers.

Sweet room with nice views

We had a very good time here. The house is very sweet like a little museum. The host was very friendly and we enjoyed the breakfast on the big terrace.
