Ming's property is a peaceful step back in time. The furnishing are a cool vintage collection. The deck is where you will want to be though! It faces the ocean and is just a slice of heaven. Walk across the lawn and down the short set of stairs and you are on the beach. We found sea glass each day:) The house is very good sized and shares a short road with just one other house. You definitely have your privacy. We even had a nesting Osprey w/family that we kept our eye one every day. A few lobster boats come and go each day, adding just the right touch of "Maine." Friendship is tucked away but close to what activities we wanted to do within Mid-coast Maine. Ming was a pleasure to work with and wants you to have the best vacation ever! Thank you for a lovely week, Ming!!! XO

You can’t beat the view. The location is about 10 min to the town. The house is extremely outdated, mostly original, with very uncomfortable old furniture. It is loaded with old books and magazines and other stuff that collects dust. The bathrooms need updating. The tub shower is dangerously slippery and the upper shower is tricky to use. The beds are old, but did have clean linens. We were left with four towels, two were old small air dried and too rough to use. Two were very small with fringes like a rug and very old. Did not use them. Bought some beach towels to use. We were left with three napkins and one roll of TP in each bathroom. We bought more of each for our use. Nice lobster pot. The oven is original and gets very hot on the outside door, it needs replacing. No microwave, but did have a nice little toaster oven. Nice fridge. Nice size dining room table with chairs. Dishwasher worked but you can not use the wash machine, the breaker is off and only for housekeeping. That was outlined on the contract we had to sign. The contract is not welcoming, it is merely a list of don'ts and reminders of your own risks. New steps to the water, but a bit tricky with no hand rail. The owner does respond quickly to messages. We did not try to use the tv's, they are old CRT models. But the wifi worked fine. If this house were updated, It would be a nice remote spot to hang out.

The private beach was just steps away from the back porch. Beautiful views from sun up to sun down. We really enjoyed the nature hike that was only about a ten-minute walk away from the house - that was an added bonus. The house is a bit dated, but it had a charm to it, like visiting your beloved grandparents' house. We enjoyed the nostalgia.

View is beautiful! Sailboats, lobster boats and stunning sunsets all right in front of you, wether on the deck, the lawn or from inside the house. Sounds of the ocean lull you to sleep, birds singing in the morning. Nature preserve in walking distance provided a nice hike. Ming is a gracious and responsive host.

I can’t say enough about the view, without a doubt one of the most beautiful I have seen. I really enjoyed looking for sea glass on the beach and managed to find several pieces. We also loved the location, very quant small town and close to so many great places to visit.

We wanted to get away from the city of Portland and experience a true Maine experience. This rental provide just that. We were on the water edge where we experienced local lobster fisherman checking their crab cages, fisherman casting their nets, fireworks over the bay, and much more without the hustle of a big city. Local dining was just that, a small town experience where people were very friendly and lobster was right off the boat. The host was extremely friendly and the accommodations were far better then staying at a hotel. Very quite environment with a very clean house. Can't complain and well worth the price.

We had a wonderful time in Friendship and especially enjoyed several amazing sunsets from the deck. Although the water at the house beach was a little rough, we managed to kayak along the shore. A nearby beach down the road was a bit calmer. Great bicycling to the Friendship Harbor as well.
