About this villa rental
This delightful holiday villa provides ideal accommodation at a very affordable price in a quiet and peaceful area 1.5 Km from the centre of the resort. There are several bars and restaurants, duty free shops, clothing and toy shops along the beach promanade.
The villa is located in the Parque del Rey development, it has been constructed to a very high standard. The high domed ceilings which keep the villa cool on the warmest of days with dark hardwood evident. The owner has extended the villa by adding a separate dining room. very handy to eat indoors when the weather is cooler outside. The lounge is fitted with satellite TV alongside this is WIFI in all rooms. A large selection of books to help pass the time whilst you work on your tan. The open plan kitchen is fitted with all the modern appliances. Sleeping accommodation comprises of a double and twin bedrooms, both with plenty of cupboard space. There is pay as you use, coin operated, air conditioning units in both bedrooms. There is a put-you-up for the extra person. The beautifully tiled bathroom is fitted with a walk in shower and additional hand holds.
The lounge leads into the dining room with place settings for 4 persons. There is a child's high chair and cot at the villa. Doors from the dining room/lounge lead on to the south facing terrace and garden which surround the electrically heated swimming pool with an outside shower for use before and after using the pool. The terrace providing ample shade includes a barbeque area for the lazy evenings with ample space outside for loungers and seating. A car park is part of the property with a ramp from gate to villa. This superior villa with ample accommodation in a quiet setting is ideal for the family and at a price which will suit most budgets.

Really enjoyed staying at Villa Rio
Everything a family holiday needs - private pool, wi fi / Netflix so the kids can take breaks from the heat.
We are regulars to Parque Del Rey and Villa Rio has the extra lounge space can moated to smaller villas

We had a great experience. Villa was more than expected. Clean and tidy. We were looking for a quiet holiday and were happy to stay mostly at the villa. We did venture to flamingo beach a few times which is about 15 to 20 mins walk away.
Also a good variety of restaurants on the port side area. I recommend the indian as you turn left on the front first one. The best tikka massala.
We found the TV room very cosey in the evenings back at the villa.
I can't thank the hosts enough as got back immediately with any problems or questions.
We are a couple in our ealy 60s and took our son also. We all had a fantastic week here.

Great stay for one week for the half term holiday.
The villa exceeded our expectations and we will be back for sure, beds comfy and area nice and quiet.
The pool area was sunny all day and the water nice and warm.
The sports fans appreciated the sky and tnt and so were able to keep track of the football, cricket and rugby!.
The welcome pack was a lovely touch and so we did not have to worry about doing a food shop as soon as we had arrived.
15 to 20 min walk into town and we walked in most evenings although we had hired a car.

The location is very quiet, a perfect place to relax!
There is a small grocery shop within walking distance.
The service provided by Manolo on site was very good.

Lovely little villa in quiet area but within easy walking distance to the sea, bars and shops. Great communication with owners. Stayed for one week in January for our birthdays and planning on booking again for next year. Would definitely recommend.

Just back from 7 nights stay in this lovely villa.
Great booking experience - lovely owners (we had to cancel a previous stay due to personal circumstances and they could not have been kinder).
The villa is in a lovely location for a 15 minute stroll to the centre of Playa Blanca. We spent the days relaxing round the pool, it was so peaceful just to chill out and read.
The villa was immaculately clean on arrival - the welcome pack was a lovely surprise and much appreciated.
Feels like a proper home from home with everything you would need even if you wanted to stay in and cook (which we didn't).
Property manager checked that we were ok - but there were no issues all week.
Cant wait to return (though disappointed to find out the same week next year is already booked up!!).

We stayed over Christmas as a family of 4 with 2 children under 6.
The villa had everything we needed and is a great spot for using Playa Blanca, as well as exploring the whole island (we hire a car).
The closest beach is a 20 min walk or a 4 min drive. The pool was lovely and warm, perfect for the little ones.
Tony and Linda sent and provided helpful and extensive instructions on how to find it and the book in the property had so much information to help us which was amazing,
Would definitely reccomend if you want a base to have a great holiday! Thank you

The villa had almost everything we needed for our last minute retreat and we were very happy to find a bbq as it is not listed and not in every photo. We are still wondering were the supplied logs came from on an island with no trees, but with no way of splitting them we used charcoal from the superb butchers Carnniceria D.A.K. near the Irish Anvil bar, which worked a treat. The pool temperature was just right for lovely refreshing swims and we were not bothered by it being at the front as it is not overlooked and the road is very quiet, though it's probably what kept Manolo away. We could have done with meeting him as it took us 2 days and a lot of searching to eventually find the outside lights did work but the switch is by the front gate. Our searching did reveal the hidden fuse box which was necessary on our last night when the villa suddenly went dark and the elusive Manolo could not be found. No fuses had tripped but switching the main power off and on again reset everything. Manolo should be made aware that the new fan light defaults on after a power failure.
The welcome pack is a lovely idea but we could have done with knowing what it was and where it was before we arrived. A washing up sponge or cloth and extra T towel would have been more welcome than the cheap pack. We mended the broken bathroom plug chain and cafetiere handle and provided a whisk and would be very pleased to return again.

Whilst holiday was relaxing, we felt the property very dated. Wouldnt say superior as decribed, more adequate. Pool is not private as described as in front of villa, mattress and pillows dirty and poor condition. However Manolo was outstanding and such a friendly person. Very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble, specially with water and toilet issues we experienced during our stay. What a wonderful man (amigo) and his wife and dog Lola were a pleasure to meet.

We spent two weeks in Villa Rio, everything was perfect! The house is well equipped (it has everything you need : crockery, washing machine, toaster, pots, microwave...) and has a beautiful outdoor area with BBQ and heated swimming pool. At the arrive the house was very clean and the welcome pack was much appreciated. Easy check-in. Great communication with Linda and Tony (owners) who answered all my questions. The property manager is a very kind and helpful person. The neighborhood is quiet, well maintained and in a few minutes you can reach Playa Blanca. I recommend Villa Rio and hope to return soon.

This villa was the perfect location for our stay in Playa Blanca. We wanted somewhere to relax but also close to town, and this villa was great for both as we had days just relaxing by the pool and days exploring the area. It’s a simple walk into town (20 mins) but there’s also a great circular bus (no. 30) so you can be at the Marina Rubicon in no time too, and Las Colorada’s for Playa Papagayo!

It was very clean when we arrived and has everything you need for a relaxing break.
The furniture and bed are very confortable.
Anthony (owner) was easily contactable and was quick to offer help when we had any queries.

We had a lovely and pleasant 10 day stay at Villa Rio. The villa is beautiful, comfortable and most practical with everything to hand. Manolo (caretaker) is next door if needed - he was great with us..
The location and neighbourhood are great - close enough to the centre for nice walk but far enough away for peace and quiet.
The booking process was smooth and easy with great communication and the welcome pack was most welcome!

Spent 7 weeks in Villa Rio. Lovely location only 20 minute stroll into town and a superb little supermarket only 10 mins from the villa.
Very peaceful small development and a well equipped villa that gets full sun all day long.
Linda kindly let us stay on , on our last day as we had a late flight home and Manolo (who lives next door) who looks after the villa was amazing! Always checking we were ok and didn't need anything.
All in all we had a very relaxing winter break.

This property lives up to its description on Vrbo. It is spacious and well equipped to a good standard. Communications with the owner were excellent, we were offered a late departure without asking. It is a 20 minute walk to the port / sea front most of which is on a fairly newly created traffic free route which is well lit at night. The Parque del Rey area is very pleasant and quiet.

Wir verbrachten 4 Wochen in der Unterkunft und fühlten uns sehr wohl. Es war alles vorhanden was man als Selbstversorger braucht. Der Pool war total super. Er war sehr schön sauber und das Wasser von hervorragender Qualität. Manolo der mit seiner Familie nebenan wohnt hat sich hervorragend um alles gekümmert. Vielen Dank an Linda und Anthony die uns ohne Probleme ermöglicht haben dass wir von Januar nach Mai umbuchen konnten.

Family holiday so spent a good deal of time at another villa - this property had all that is required but was a little tired in places particularly bedding and bathroom and TV - however the washing machine with a 15 minute cycle was amazing and there were plenty of options for drying - overall other than being a bit tired we enjoyed our stay. Perfection.
Villa Rio is a great wee villa Iin an excellent location. On arrival we found the villa spotlessly clean inside and the outside area too, was also spotless. Manolo, the property manager, introduced himself and told us to give him a shout if we needed anything , however found the property to have everything required to make it a home from home. The nearest supermarket is about a 5 min walk and is stocked with all the essentials, the main town about a 20 min stroll, where you have all the bars and restaurants you need. We have been visiting Playa Blanca for years and can't believe we have not found this property, before now. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the property, and hopefully it won't be too long till we're staying there again.

On arrival found the villa to be absolutely spotless inside and out.
Ideally situated in a quiet location but only 15 minutes walk into town.
The villa has an excellent tv system and responsive wi-fi , and the kitchen has modern appliances and an array of home comforts.
Communication with the owners was excellent

Manolo y Maribel son unas personas encantadoras y muy atentos. Para cualquier cosa que te surja ahí están.

A enjoyable holiday at Villa Rio, nice pool and outside space which we enjoyed probably more than usual due to corona virus lockdown. Inside the facility was reasonably equipped and had a nice area to relax and watch TV and under lockdown circumstances was really appreciated

Christmas Getaway
Our overall impression of this property was one of surprise as the pictures on Home & Away are not a true reflection of the villa and it’s gardens.
The facilities were excellent almost home from home.
Lovely pool & patio area that gets sunshine all day.
We went for a relaxing break and that is exactly what we had.
Would certainly like a return visit.

Perfect peaceful getaway
The Villa is lovely; clean and tidy, well maintained and in a perfect location. Within walking distance of the main resort, but in a quiet residential area - what more could you ask for.
We didn’t have the best weather for our stay this time, and having had a lot of wind on one particularly the pool quickly looked rather worse for wear with all the sand that had been blown around. The maintenance man was over early the next morning and set about cleaning it out, and we were incredibly impressed with how good it looked the next day.
For a relaxing week away, you really couldn’t ask for more than what this Villa has to offer.
We have stayed here before and definitely wouldn’t hesitate to use it again :)

Thoroughly enjoyed Playa Blanca as always. The house was a good basic base. Lacked a couple of wee touches ( no heater for cold evenings, small water heater so couldn’t both have a shower in the morning), but otherwise fine.
