Cosy house in the mountains where we made wonderful memories with our family.

The location was stunning. The house was very cosy and lots to do. The garden were so pretty and the neighbours were very friendly.

We found the beds were not the most comfortable and the cleanliness of the house could have been better

A comfortable stay for a few nights away.

Spacious and comfortable accommodation. We were a party of 6 adults and the lounge and dining areas were great. Comfortable beds. Location was close to both Katoomba and Leura, not walking distance but a few minutes by car.

There needs to be a lock on the main bathroom door please!

Quaint but old and dated. Too many stairs. Fireplace not practical.

Quite a quaint property with good sized rooms. Adequate facilities.

Not aware at time of booking of the number of stairs to get from carport to house. Also not told that bedroom and bathroom downstairs had no internal entry - only informed close to arrival date. Not good as it rained when we were staying. Very poorly maintained although clean. Old and dated. Only heating in lounge/dining/kitchen area was a wood fireplace and we had to buy the firewood if we wanted to use it. Not practical when out all day and nights are cold.

A really wonderful weekend.

House was very comfortable. I liked the fireplace. The view was wonderful.

I have mobility problems so getting into the house up the stairs was difficult.

We had a lovely stay at Ribbon Gum Lodge.

We stayed as a couple of families and had a BBQ with some friends. Great spacious entertaining area outside. Lovely cosy loungeroom and fireplace inside. Kitchen had everything you needed.

A lot of stairs which was tricky for the little kids.

Quiet, peaceful, comfortable and good value.

Lovely quiet spot with a nice outlook and easy access to Laura and Katoomba. It was perfectly clean and had everything you need. Clear communication. As lovely as the photos and even better. We'll rrecommend and stay again.

Allow for stair access if you have mobility issues, and make use of the the fan if not (we stayed mid summer). Take note of the bedding layout, as the downstairs seperate suite is perfect for a second couple (less suited to young kids if they need to be close to family.

Not long enough in a beautiful, comfortable and relaxing house

Ribbon Gum Lodge was a beautiful family house with lots of space and very comfortable beds. The outside space was lovely (albeit we didn't use it as it was cold and wet) however I could imagine staying longer and using the garden and terrace. The house was located in a quiet and tranquil area with an outlook over woods. The previous guests had broken the oven and when the host was told he was very helpful and responded with an offer to pay for takeaway.

Because the house is along an unsealed driveway it can be hard to locate (both we and taxi driver struggled). A house number at the bottom of the drive would help (as well as saying "go straight on, up the unsealed driveway, when you reach the top of the hill)

Lovely, comfortable property with plenty of room for a family. Facilities excellent.

Sadly, there was no information regarding the access to the Lodge. There are 31 uneven steps which require some maintenance, and more substantial handrails. Advice to bring torches for returning at night would have been been helpful. My wife is quite unsteady due to knee problems and found entering & exiting the property uncomfortable. We would not have booked the property if we had known about the access. There is no mention of this in the information. Also there is no insect mesh on the main windows so ventilation in hotter month could be a problem.

Nice outlook very clean and comfortable

Too many stairs and there should be better railings on the stairs. It should be mentioned on your website that there are 20+ stairs. Not suitable for elderly people or anyone with mobility problems. There were two of us with these issues. Luckily we did not have any falls.

The host gave code for lock box was easy to find and retrieve with clear directions when you leave on what they requested from you also

There was nothing we did not like about the residence, it was close to local shops and the supermarkets at Katoomba, as well as the many walking places, the property has everything you need.

Cottage in the hills.

Nice and quiet and cosy.

Difficult to find (street is divided into east and west that are divided). Follow instructions of host not GPS. Also very steep access for bags and cases whilst dodging swooping magpie.

The place was immaculately clean and set amongst beautiful trees. Huge windows surrounding the living space let in loads of natural light. Perfect for relaxing! I would definitely stay here again.

Cannot turn the car around in the driveway, but it's easy to back out. Not a big deal.

My family enjoyed staying in the lodge, will highly recommend to family and friends!

Property was easy to find. It was clean, complete with kitchen and bathroom essentials, comfortable beds with clean, crisp linen! I had a chat with Manager/Owner, he is a gracious host. Thank you!

Just a small area of improvement if I may suggest is to add lighting in the living area as we find the lone ceiling light to be quite dim.

Gorgeous little lodge, perfect for a family getaway!

It was very cosy and had everything we needed. Tracy was very accomodating when we added another child in the booking at last minute. Would definitely stay here again if we come back in the area and possibly during the summer months as it was too cold to use the garden this time round.

felt like at home in the location as the house was clean and the scene was perfect

the property had a very homey feel too it and the location was perfect, not too far from town and in between Leura and Katoomba.

there was a lot of stairs getting to and from the property.

Plenty of room for our family of 7. Good heating. Comfortable beds and good quality linen.

How water leaked outside the shower onto the floor soaking the mat. No extra garbage bags in kitchen. A new roll or toilet paper for each bathroom would have been appreciated.
