Excellent full breakfast in at a large dining table looking out across the garden to the inlet.
Fabulous view.
Can't fault this wonderful B & B.
Pillows are a bit solid so we'll bring our own next time!

I needed to get some relax time and this B and B fit the bill. I had a fall in Sidney before I came and Mark helped me out with his first aid skills . Dave helped as well. I liked to leave mid day for a big lunch and bring a sandwich back for later as I really felt good just sitting on the patio and looking at the view. One of the dogs was my bud and insisted on stick fetch and frisbee fetch. Jill and I had a great conversation one night. Dave makes huge croissants and great egg dishes for breakfast. All in all, it was great and gave me so much needed relax time. Absolutely recommend
nothing all good

If you would like to stay home away from the city then this is the perfect place to stay. The lovely couple (owner) has been very sweet, helpful and made sure everybody happy. I will recommend and will come back to stay if time permits 😊 We had a wonderful stay! Love their croissants!
it's a must that you have car if you're planning to stay, tho can be reached by cab still minutes away from the main road.

The breakfast was ok. During our three mornings there we had a continental breakfast on 2 days and an English Breakfast on one day. Would have like a little more variety in the continental breakfast.
We stayed three nights and the rooms wasn't made up once and we didn't get new towels. Had to ask for towels for the Pool.

Location was wonderful, breakfast as well.
Was the best!

WOW! What a beautiful property, beautiful house and beautiful family. David and Jill were the primary caretakers, with their son Mark also there and very helpful. This BnB has a pool, hot tub, TV room/exercise room, plenty of gardens, trails in the back and two adorable well behaved dogs. David made us a delicious breakfast and always made my husband and I laugh. Jill is kind and sweet, always greeting us in the morning. The VIEW was our favorite part- extraordinary, and we were able to watch the fireworks from the BnB. We felt well taken care of while also having privacy.
My husband and I took the bus (83) to the BNB- WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. The trek up to the BnB was so hard because it is all up hill. We were able to stop and have some black berries on the way up (another plus!). Understandably- its hard to have such a nice view without going halfway up a mountain! I would recommend a Car or Uber.

The property and views at this B&B are beautiful and soothing. A morning coffee on the quiet poolside, or on the private deck of each room, was the perfect start to the day! David had a lovely breakfast ready for us at our desired time and was attentive to our dining needs. The other guests were lovely and bright individuals that we were happy to share a meal with.
We will be back for another visit in the future!

Beautiful property in a tranquil setting, and large secluded grounds to relax in. All rooms have sea views, terraces or balconies and are extremely comfortable. Very kind and generous hosts who make you feel very welcome. Lots of little extras to enhance your stay e.g pool towels and robes, tea/coffee, wine, and toiletries. Very nice breakfast included.
Nothing

The location and view are spectacular. It was a very hot day, so being able to jump in the pool to cool off was much appreciated. The house is gorgeous inside - vintage furnishings. Dave and Jill were very sweet hosts, we wish them well :-)
Breakfasts were quite nice - especially the mixed fruit and pastries every day and the poached eggs on alternate days. Jill was kind enough to let us store in a cool space the 3-4 cases of wines that we'd collected during the previous week's wine touring. Dave is quite knowledgeable and discussed quite a bit of history with us - a lot of fun. The room was lovely, and the bed was comfortable. Very quiet and peaceful. Cute and friendly outdoors dog....
The lack of an onsite medical clinic to treat guests who wear out their arms throwing the Frisbee for the dog! :-)

This accommodation is beyond lovely - the views are spectacular, the atmosphere relaxing and calm, the room thoughtfully appointed and comfortable. Coffee and tea available, toiletries, comfy bed and a patio to relax on and take in the views. Enjoyed using the pool which gets a nice amount of sun for much of the day, and the hot tub nestled near trees just up the path is a nice way to start or end any day. The owners have two friendly dogs which amused us during our stay, and we also enjoyed seeing the sheep and goats that graze the lower end of the property. The continental breakfast was delightful with lovely cheese, meats, pastries, fruit, granola, boiled eggs and delicious fresh-baked croissants that David bakes exceed what one normally gets in both size and delicious flakiness. David and Jill are extremely gracious and kind hosts, and I hope we are able to return and stay again. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a little slice of heaven and a beautiful, tranquil setting.
That we didn't book longer!

Property is beautiful and very quiet.
Because of the hills it was a little hard to get to but we had no problem. Just watch the corners up the hill. Would not stop me from going again though

What a beautiful and peaceful location! Loved swimming in the pool, playing fetch with the dogs, and breakfast overlooking the water and forest with mountains in the background. So quiet at night falling asleep to the garden fountain. We enjoyed hiking in nearby John Dean Park and kayaking in Brentwood Bay. And of course Butchart Gardens are not to be missed.
Nothing at all to dislike!

Did not stay because facilities were not as described.
Room was small and and patio door was not working properly. Owner had to go outside and open from outside. Garden path not maintained. Jacuzzi not setup and unsafe. Pool hadn’t been cleaned.

A gem in the countryside
Really enjoyed our stay
Nothing about property. Once night we struggled to find take out, as things closed 8/9pm but that’s just a heads up nothing negative about the property

I was looking for somewhere quiet and relaxing to stay in honour of celebrating my fiancés birthday. This beautiful property nestled in the mountains did not disappoint! We were soothed by the sounds of nature and the jaw dropping view from the yard.
The hosts, David & Jill are the most lovely couple who made their home feel like ours during our stay. They were even generous enough to give my fiancé a birthday card and a bottle of sparkling wine which we very much enjoyed while relaxing in the hot tub.
Our room was cozy and comfortable - we both agreed we had the best sleep we have had in a long time.
The property was close enough to downtown (about 30 min drive) for us to enjoy the perks of the Victoria harbour front while also getting to relax in nature along the various walking trails around the property and lounging at the pool.
We feel so blessed to have discovered this quaint bed and breakfast and look forward to visiting again in the future!

The location was great and the host was really friendly. We enjoyed meeting others at breakfast. The view out our room and deck was beautiful.
Our room felt small and we only had a double bed. The shower stall was also small.

Me and my boyfriend spent a super relaxed weekend at this place disconnected from the city noise. Special thank you to Jill and David for being so accommodating. The weather allowed us to enjoy the swimming pool and hot tub which was great! The view from our room was amazing and the breakfast they serve every morning is exquisite! Can't wait to go back!

Everything. Stayed with my mom: we loved the tranquility, relaxing at the pool and Jacuzzi. The hosts Jill & Dave were fantastic, so kind and warm. The breakfast was great!!!
Nothing really.

Very poor local taxi service. You’ll need a car to stay here.

Our Host was the best. He served an incredible breakfast. Table was fully set. Fruit and yogurt, English tea or coffee, Eggs, toast, banger, beacon. Host was our waiter and served everything. Pool was perfect temperature. The view was stunning. Hot tubed every night. Had an entertainment room and exercise equipment (bike and step machine). No TV in room was great. Has a sauna. back patio was of each room with a view of the ocean. Dining was 10 to 15 minute drive. Prairie Inn great Lunch and dinner. Blue's Bayou Cafe was the best dinner we had on our tip. If you are looking for a quite getaway this is it. Near the Butchart Gardens.

The hosts went beyond expectations in providing a breakfast suited to our vegan diet. Dave and Jill were so lovely. It felt like we were visiting family! The atmosphere in the breakfast room which had a gorgeous view out to the ocean, was lively and friendly and so enjoyable! The room was incredibly clean and spacious, the grounds were maintained exquisitely and the whole stay was so peaceful. I ALMOST DIDN'T WANT TO LEAVE FOR OUR DAYS ACTIVITIES!
After traveling so long and far, we can honestly say this was, beyond a doubt, our best BnB experience! I would book again just to stay here! THANK YOU, DAVE AND JILL and Mark!
Nothing! Everything was delightful and above and beyond our expectations!

Breakfasts were perfect. Made to order. Our hosts Jill David Mark Abby and Luna where all extremely gracious and affable. Could not have been nicer! Walking trails, and views were perfect!
Having access to the pool would be over the too, in this stunning, quiet and restful retreat!

Stunning view of Finlayson Arm with beautiful tall trees around the property. Very peaceful and quiet. Five minute drive to Brentwood Bay for restaurants and entertainment. Ten minutes to Sidney. Hosts were very welcoming and made us feel comfortable and relaxed. The breakfast was delicious and we had an amazing view high up, overlooking the water and trees. The pool was refreshing and hot tub soothing. A great respite from the hassle and bustle and noise.
