Outstanding(168 Reviews)4.8
Outstanding location and well furnished place.
4.8
Absolutely loved this place.
Reasons Why:
1) Location Location Location (50 yards from Pantheon) 2/10 of a mile from Piazza Navona, walking distance to Trevi, Spanish Steps and Colosseum (think it was just over a mile to Colosseum).
2) Air Conditioning- it was quite warm in Rome, but the AC was delightful.
3) Beds were very comfortable
4) Shower water was hot and pressure was great
5) Snacks, yogurt, and some beverages were provided by host
6. Host set us up with great transfer to/from FCO
Things to note that may or may not work for your group:
1) There are 4 flights of stairs to get to the apartment, my 77 year old mom did it, but she walks miles every day. But as of now, there is no elevator so be warned.
2) layout of the place. Basically you have 3 private bedrooms. They were set up as doubles for us, but I think they can break at least one of the doubles up. In addition to the 3 bedrooms, there were two couches that pulled out into double sized beds. One of those couches was in the main living room and the other couch was in a room that was next to one of the private rooms (it was pretty much out of the way out of the rest of the apartment except for one room).
Bathrooms were tight, but it is Rome afterall.

This was a great property for our large family of 10. The location can't be beat. The 110 stairs to the 4th floor are hard!! If anyone had mobility issues, it would be a problem. We were there for 1 week and there was never any work done on the elevator construction, I would not assume it will be finished anytime soon.
4.8
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property. The hostess was excellent with communication and met us at the apartment to show us around. Yes, there are 100+ steps to get to the apartment, but there is an elevator being built/installed that may be done in the next few months or so. Anyway, for our family of four, this was more than enough space to spread out comfortably.
Highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for perfectly central location to everything in Rome!!
4.8
Great restaurants and sites within minutes. The apartment was nice and Antonella super helpful with things like airport transfers and guides. 4 flights of stairs was a bit tough but that was the only downside.
4.8
Central location next to Pantheon but over a km to nearest subway. Four flights to carry luggage up in state of construction for elevator someday, 2 kitchens with two full refrigerators but only 3 real bedrooms. For the 10 adults in our party, two had to sleep on foldout coach in living/dining room and 2 on a foldout coach in second kitchen, which was also only access to porch so extreme lack of privacy for them. Recommend for a max of 6 adults or two families of four each. No dishwasher, no drier. Showers were tiny 2 feet x 2 feet, one required over 1 foot step up/down. Main kitchen only holds one person at a time, ladder like stairway to climb out high window to get to deck. Overall cramped and strange but that comes from trying to list so many people in such a tight historic space.

Had 11 Days at the apartment and I would stay here again. Family of 5
What a location I could throw a tennis ball and hit the Pantheon. And had a view of it from a number of places in the apartment.
Loads of places to eat super close.
4 toilets 3 bathrooms 2 kitchens
The stairs became part of our day and we
Took pride in climbing them to get that amazing view
Antonella was very helpful, checked us in personally and did the tour made sure we had bread, jam, yogurt and a few other essentials.
Great sleep quality
Thanks for making us so welcome Antonella.
4.8
We were thankful someones prior review mentioned no lift and 4 flights of stairs so we were prepared for a climb upon arrival. Very nice accommodations for our group of 7 considering the convenient location. Host was great. Many treats on the table and in the fridge. I do recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper.
4.8
Visited for 5 days with my family. This is truly a perfect location and the host was wonderful. Everything was clean and very easy. As stated in other reviews, the stairs are a challenge if you're at all compromised. But if not, it's worth the effort.
4.8
Antonella is the perfect host. She was kind enough to provide us with some snacks and drinks in the apartment for our first day allowing us to get our bearings before we had to run out and find our groceries! This is a very unusual luxury, and provides an opportunity to relax a bit.
As I said, the title, this apartment is perfectly located. Literally it was a 25 minute walk or less to all of the major sites. Obviously, you are right next-door to the Pantheon putting history at your doorstep.
Transportation will be the issue for most people.
- From my perspective good walking shoes are the best option!
- I would not recommend a car as parking would be near impossible.
- We did use the metro rail system from the airport, then got a taxi from the metro to the apartment.
- There was always a line of taxis by the Pantheon if needed.
- We did use Lime scooters the last day to get out to Cappella delle Reliquie of the Sante Croce in Gerusalemme church as it was just a bit too far out.
Food options are everywhere! One of the highlights of our trip was Renato E Luisa a fantastic place.
As with any trip, there are things that I did not anticipate. First was the amount of stairs. Antonella did tell us that it was four flights upstairs without a lift. It’s 109 steps to the 4th floor. If you travel with lots of luggage it will matter. The second thing was the showers are really small, maybe 2‘ x 2‘.Having said that if you are prepared for it, it’s not an issue.
WE WILL BE BACK

Property is spacious and clean, with a great location in the center. Easy walking distance to many sites. Taxi stand in front of Pantheon. Antonella is a fantastic host with great recommendations for events and restaurants nearby. She was in contact prior to arrival, check in was simple and she also let us know about events that were going on during our stay and stayed in contact with us to see if we were in need of any assistance throughout our stay. Definitely will stay at this location next time I’m in Rome

Property is in an excellent location and worked well for our group of 7 (4 adults, 2 four-year-olds, and one two-year-old) during a 2 week stay in November 2023. I'm not quite sure how the listing gets to 5 bedrooms, but the place is spacious and there are three bedrooms with doors and two sofa beds in semi-private areas that will work for some large groups. We were good with the three bedrooms.
The stairs are somewhat daunting, but the two members of our geoup who are over 70 years old were able to manage without much trouble. We did need help from our transfer driver to get some of our heaviest luggage up the stairs. A generous tipwas in order.
The hostess, Antonella was very responsive and helpful. She connected us with a good and reasonably priced transfer driver from the airport and was able to recommemd several good activities.
There is a wonderful basic Italian restaurant next door called Miscelanea. The are very reasonably priced and are wonderful with small children. We had dinner there 7 or mayb more times. Our 4 year-olds adored the waiters and the owner was very kind to them as well. The pasta e Vino restaurant located two doors down was mixed with one of us having a wonderful meal while the other was just about imedible with wait staff that didnt think it was their job to do mich about it. our experience at the Ginger restaurant located on Piazza St. EUSTACHIO was terrible. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU not GO THERE, no matter how appealing you think it looks.
4.8
We were 3 couples getting together for a week, there was plenty of room for all and the location was amazing. The host is lovely and easy to communicate with. As other reviews have pointed out there are almost 110 stairs to get to the 4th floor. The bathrooms are tiny and the plumbing is loud (it is an old building) but we spent most of our time away. For what we needed this place was great.
4.8
Apartment location and view were fantastic. Alas, beware of the 4 flights of stairs, they are overwhelming and dangerous due to construction. There is an actual hole 2' x 5' on the 3rd floor flight that someone could fall through if not careful.
Though I would like to recommend this property due to location and view, I cannot recommend it due to the behavior of the host. During our stay the plumbing in one of the bathrooms failed and the host insisted that our party deliberately did something and wanted us to pay for the plumber. As it turned out the electrical pump she has churning waste failed due to a faulty relay but she kept insisting we should pay to the point I felt like I was being extorted.
As a customer service manager this is the worst customer service experience I have ever had. Though it will not prevent me from utilizing VRBO, I would suggest that other travelers be aware of this host.
4.8
This place is awesome but be sure you know there is no elevator and there are 109 stairs to climb!
4.8
Love our stay in Rome. Great View of Rome. The layout of apartments was a little chaotic but we all had bedroom and bathroom to themselves. One shower was a little hard to get into. Since it was a Penthouse it had Four flights of stairs to climb. No elevator.
But at 72 I made it. The host was very helpful and accommodating.
4.8
Very nice apartment, great location and wonderful host. Two apartments combined with three actual bedrooms, an anteroom outside one of the rooms with a sleeper sofa and another sleeper sofa in the living room of the main apartment. Very helpful to have so many bathrooms, but be prepared for small showers. Loved the AC after a full day of walking around Rome. This apartment is not for anyone with mobility issues, only because the apartment is on the fourth floor with no elevator (109 stairs, to be exact). Makes for beautiful high ceilings in the apartment, but it's a lot of stairs when you're carrying your luggage. Would stay here again.
4.8
The location definitely was the main plus to this apartment, not only can you see the Pantheon from apt, there are many bus lines within a few mins walk from apartment. host was very generous and left us welcome gifts of breads, snacks and drinks. There were 7 of us and we took full advantage of the space. It is actually two apts and was nice to have the three full bathrooms and extra half bath. We didn’t cook much so the kitchen was not used much, but it was well equipped. After returning after a day of activities the cold Air Conditioning was much appreciated. Plenty of restaurants and markets nearby as well. As others said, it is four flights up but we realize there is just many steps in Italy overall. Elevator would had been nice to have, especially with the luggages , but we considered it part of the free work out plan :)
4.8
Antonella was really sweet and kind and checked us in nicely and showed us around and how to use certain things - she had breads and jams and juice and some waters for us - so very nice! Bedding was all very comfortable - plenty of room to spread out - very nice having a laundry machine to wash as we were there and on patio to dry on the clothes rack. The view from patio of Pantheon is amazing!! There are stairs to apartment - but it's 4 sections - so you can take breaks as you go up them. It was really really hot in Rome when we were there - but it was super comfortable in Antontellas place and we slept wonderfully! She also helped us with having a driver pick us up from airport - worked really nice and he had a sign with our last name as we arrived. Very nice neighborhood and fun at night with the gelato shops and restaurants surrounding the Pantheon - and people being in the plaza by the fountain. So easy to walk everywhere from this place - couldn't have been any better!
4.8
This is a perfect location, and suitable for small or large families. There are four flights of stairs, 28 steps each, so luggage is a consideration. The place is beautiful, well air-conditioned, with two kitchens and three baths. Next door to a nice little eatery called Miscellanea, the owner is quite nice.
4.8
The property location was fantastic - right near cafes, restaurants, and the Pantheon.
The host was great with communication in advance of our trip. The apartment had plenty of space for our family of 12 (4 children).
Only downside was the number of stairs to get to the apartment and showers were pretty small.
Overall a great place to stay!
4.8
We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment was clean and had beds and bathrooms for everyone. The hostess was kind and friendly and greeted us with some breakfast items such as milk, yogurt, bread, etc.
It is set up to be two separate apartments as needed, with two kitchens, two living rooms, etc.
All the reviews note the staircase - carrying a baby up the 109 stairs in summer was quite sweaty, but the location can't be beaten.
For groups with kids it'll sleep 11+ people just fine. For groups with all adults, just know that its 3 true bedrooms and then sofa beds in 2 other rooms. Was not a problem at all for us, but privacy it could get tricky.
4.8
Wonderful location. The host was great and very helpful. It was excellent for our group of two families. The view from the window is hard to believe, and easy walking to most sites. The listing describes the fourth floor walk up, but it is no joke. There are approximately 110 steps to the top and it can be a lot with luggage. Just know that it will be hard if you have mobility issues. Otherwise it was wonderful.
4.8
Location was great, centrally located. Our group was total of 6 adults (3 couples) and having a room and bathroom for each was very convenient.
As others have noted there are a bit of stairs to go up, 4 flights in total. If you're older or have issues with stairs this could be an issue.
4.8
The flat is beautiful and clean. Antonella was great at meeting us when our tour at the Vatican took longer than expected. She also left us snacks and flowers. Great neighborhood close to the Pantheon. We highly recommend it. There are 4 flights of stairs to reach it, so be prepared.
4.8
This was the perfect location when staying in Rome. There were a lot of steps but it was worth it. The apartment was perfect for our group and Antonella was very accommodating.
4.8
This is an excellent apartment and amazing location with a very gracious hostess. Nevertheless, I strongly recommend that the description be amended to include the fact that there are over 100 steps to reach the apartments. This could be a deal breaker for some. It appears that an elevator is being installed, but won't be available for quite some time.
4.8
As described the building/appartment is right beside Pantheon and everything can be reached easily by foot, this was quite helpfull.
Even in the centre, the situation is calm and quite. The appartment itself is on the 4th floor with 120 steps (yes you will count them with luggage to get there :)) so be aware of this.
Everything was clean and prepared and the reception by Antonella was great, good communication beforehand, good explanations.
Now for the shortcomings, the showers are somewhat tiny but ok for the rest. The kitchen has also reduced space but we managed to cook simple things, a hot water boiler would have been welcomed and the chairs were a bit shaky.
All in all I can recommend the appartment.
4.8
Our stay at Antonella's beautiful apartment in the heart of Rome was a highlight of our family's trip to Italy. It is an ideal location, near both the Pantheon and the incredible coffee at Sant' Eustachio Il Caffè.
Opening the large windows allow you to hear the bells of surrounding cathedrals while you enjoy your sfoliatella or biscotti in the morning. We enjoyed wine in the evenings on the private terrace out back.
Antonella is an incredible communicator and had many thoughtful touches for our stay, including refrigerators stocked with yogurt and milk.
Our three teenage sons absolutely loved this apartment, and had enough room to spread out and have their own space. The master bed was incredibly comfortable and everyone slept very soundly.
If you have mobility issues this is not the place for you -- there are many steps as indicated -- but if you want to stay in an authentic Roman apartment in the Centro Storico and feel like a local, this place is "perfetto"!
4.8
Great property!
4.8
Clean apartment with great location. Just steps to Pantheon. Does not have 5 bedrooms and to fit 13 people sleeping would be very uncomfortable. It has 3 bedrooms, two sleeper sofas and 3 single foldout cube chair/beds that I’m not sure where you would place to fit to sleep. Bathrooms are tight but get the job done. Steps are a bit daunting and there was lots of construction equipment on them which made the stairways quite dirty. Terrace was small and no view but nice to sit outside for a bit and have a caffe. Host was lovely and incredibly responsive. Left some snacks and breakfast items for us which was very nice. Felt safe and comfortable with 6 of us.
4.8
Antonella is a wonderful host that helped us we'll before the trip. Others have complained about the stairs, there were 6 of us all over 60 and the stairs weren't a problem. Yes the showers are small by US standards but it was part of the adventure. The location was incredible, a short distance to most attractions, shops, restaurants and night life. I would stay here again.
4.8
Wonderful
4.8
We were 9 adults in total and those of us in good health could walk to every major sight in Rome! The apartment has a large refrigerator for our cheeses and perishables. We chose to eat out for lunch and dinner, but some used the kitchen for morning coffee and breakfast.
To arrive at the apartment you must climb 4 flights of stairs, something to keep in mind. Check out romewise.com for great blog on espresso near the Pantheon!
4.8
We were a group of 7. This property is NOT 5 bedrooms. It is 3 bedrooms with extra sleeping available. You need to walk through one of the sleeping area to get to one of the bedrooms. This unit would be great for 2-3 couples.
The water pipes are very noisy.
The showers are so tiny and musty.
Please note this unit is up 4 flights of stairs with 109 steps so not great if out of shape or to haul heavy luggage.
The location is perfect, steps from the Pantheon.
The outside sitting area is tiny-good for 2 people but no view. The views from the living room window is great.
4.8
Great location and everything we needed in the apartment. Lots of sleeping areas for all. Thoughtful breakfast things, teas and coffees in both kitchen.
4.8
Fabulous location and nicely air conditioned apartment. You can’t be closer to the Pantheon which simplifies finding your way around. Only shortcoming for some was the 108 steps to get there. Antonella was in constant communication and was there it greet us on arrival.
4.8
Our group of 10 travelers, including 6 teens, had the perfect start to our Italian vacation at Antonella’s lovely apartment. The location was absolutely perfect: we walked everywhere, even in the August heat! Antonella was helpful with our arrival transportation from the airport. Grazie mille!
4.8
We stayed 5 nights in this apartment. Overall we were pleased but there are a few things that need to be addressed.
First, the location is amazing. Steps from the Pantheon is a wonderful place to be and we loved that. The property was clean, we felt safe, large (it's actually 2 units that can be rented as 1, which is what we did) and the amenities in the apartment worked well for us. We took advantage of 2 washing machines as it was very hot and we were regularly changing clothes. Communication with Antonella was great. She provided timely responses and the information provided was clear. The check in was smooth and we were in constant contact. There were some food and beverage left for us to use which was a very nice touch.
There were 2 things that prevented our stay from being rated higher than it was. There was a pretty bad odor coming from the bathroom of the master bedroom. It persisted for the entire stay. The biggest issue was the stairs. There are 109 stairs to the apartment. If you have more than carry on luggage this will be a challenge for you...it was for me. It is also a daunting task at the end of a long day out to climb up to the apartment. Even more daunting is knowing you will go out for dinner and have to do it all over again. I say this as an active family in very good physical condition. We stayed in 4 rented properties during our month long Italian vacation and this was the only one that did not have a lift...and the one that needed it most.
4.8
Perfect place for 9 of us to stay. As other reviewers have stated, bathrooms and showers can be a bit small and the AC in august struggled to keep up in the main room but both of those things are to be expected as Americans renting a place in Rome. We loved our stay and would 100% stay again. Can't beat the location! Thanks!
