Some excerpts from the TripAdvisor description of the South Side neighborhood:
“A must-see for anyone visiting Pittsburgh.”
“During the day you find a wide range of shops with tons of character. If the national chains are more your speed, head further up Carson Street where you'll find the Southside Works… but the true charm of the South Side is between 10th and 25th streets.”
“As for nightlife, whatever your taste, you'll find it on Carson Street… no one will be disappointed.”
--The location is convenient to downtown and other popular neighborhoods and tourist attractions
--Uber and Lyft are available in Pittsburgh and the nearest bus stop can be seen from the front window of the apartment
--Free on-street parking; more details will be provided prior to your arrival
For anyone who is very tall, please note that the doorway into the bedroom (shown in the second photo in the listing) is about 74 inches in height to accommodate the air duct above it. This is about 6 inches short of normal door height. All other doorways and ceilings are standard height.

A most lovely, comfortable, and perfect place
to stay! From the property description to Bridget’s hospitality—everything exceeded our expections!

We have made several visits to the Steel City. The other locations for our stay were comfortable. But this stay was like a home away from home. Our hostess was polite and overly considerate. She checked with us prior to arrival to inquire about certain preferences. You can't get that at a chain hotel. And the accommodations were immaculate. On a 5-star scale, this was definitely a 6-star stay!

Very clean and fridge was stocked with breakfast food and other snacks!

Amazing host!
Bridget thought of everything! The place is tastefully decorated and anything you could think of needing was there. Bed is comfortable. Towels were fluffy and toiletries are available. Refrigerator was stocked with a plethora of breakfast options and snacks! Great place and great visit to Pittsburgh!

Home away from home
Usually when you see photos on line you think that’s a nice place and when you arrive, not so much. This was the opposite. When we opened the door the smell of cleanliness was the first thing we noticed and the rest was a wonderful surprise. Bridget creates a home not just a place to stay. Her response time for anything needed was within minutes from a parking permit to piergoies. I will be booking my next trip to Pittsburgh around the availability of this apartment. Bravo Bridget! You rock!

The BEST Stay Ever
The title says it all. We literally had the best stay ever at Bridget's apartment on the South Side. The location was perfect, walkable to numerous restaurants, shops, and things to do. Since the weather was perfect, we walked took the trails to Heinz Field (highly recommend if you have the time). The apartment was stocked with EVERYTHING you could imagine needing, from a variety of breakfast foods and snacks to fluffy robes and a high quality hair dryer (not a cheap model like I'm used when I travel). As mentioned by another reviewer, I would give more than 5 stars if possible!

Excellent property in a fun and lively neighborhood! Bridget is very sweet and thoughtful, the rental was pristine and welcoming. Would highly recommend!

Excellent Place for Pittsburgh Weekend
We just got back from a long Memorial Day weekend in Pittsburgh. We had a superb experience at Bridget’s South Side Flats property. She saw to every detail with great care, from the welcoming décor to the generous supply of food in the kitchen. The neighborhood is a fascinating urban experience, diverse and vibrant with plenty to see and do. You feel like you are really in the city and get a sense of the energy and unique sense of place that Pittsburgh has to offer.
Bridget was kind and quite generous with her time. Parking is a little tricky for an out-of-towner, but she guided us into a free spot right by the front. The rental is meticulously clean, artistically appointed, and extremely comfortable. If our travels take us back to Pittsburgh, we very much hope that it is available again.

Attention to detail and little extras were wonderful! Spotlessly clean. We absolutely loved it!

Great property, convenient location
Wonderful property in the heart of the Southside. Bridget is an outstanding hostess, likely one of the best I have encountered while staying at VRBOs. Her property is immaculate and very well appointed. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, loved the amenities and the grocery items that Bridget stocked. Quick walk to Primanti's for dinner, and a short walk through the Southside and across the 10th street bridge to Duquesne and Mercy Hospital. Highly recommend this property and can't praise Bridget enough for her beautiful property and attention to detail. Can't wait to return to the Southside!

Perfect trip back home
Traveling 2,600 miles back home to visit family and catch a Steelers game was made even more perfect by our stay here. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The property was perfect, spotless and made to feel like home. Bridget's care and attention to make you feel welcome and have what you need was so wonderful, from the fresh flowers to coffee and tea and the fat free milk we use and checking in on us to see if anything else was needed. The location was great; in walking distance of bars, pubs and restaurants and easy access to downtown and the stadiums. We look forward to staying here again.

Great Apartment!!
This is a great apartment for a solo traveler or a couple. It is a beautifully remodeled and restored house within steps of Carson Street, close to a multitude of bars and restaurants, as well as close to other necessary places like grocery stores, drug store, dry cleaners, etc.
The apartment is spacious, comfortable, very clean and really very nicely done. I couldn't come up with anything that I might have wanted in a rental that wasn't already there. The bed was incredibly comfortable and there's also a small patio area out back for sitting outside. Bridget was an absolute joy to work with: very responsive to questions, good suggestions on local places, and she stocked the kitchen with a great variety of breakfast and snack foods plus the kitchen is very well stock for preparing meals at home. I was afraid that parking might be a hassle, but I was always able to find a spot somewhere close by, most of the time, immediately in front of the apartment. But mostly, it's a great location for walking around South Side Flats.
I just could not have been happier with this choice!

5 stars isn't enough
Bridget is the best! Unit is exactly as pictured. Location can't be beat, double decker tour bus stops yards away. Plenty of Uber in area if needed, but everything you need is within walking distance. Our first time in Pittsburgh, just wanted to get into the history and have a fun place to be our hub. This is it. Food options galore, and a Giant Eagle less than 3 blocks away. Neighborhood is upscaling by the day, so check it out before it becomes overpriced. We didn't notice any excessive noise, slept wonderfully. Bridget has so many thoughtful touches in place on arrival. Fresh flowers on the table, some breakfast items in the fridge so you don't have to stress your first morning there. As others have said, it bests boutique hotels at a fraction of the price. There is construction going on,in the area, but never bothered us. Google maps is not in tune with downtown riverside exchanges, so be aware. 7 out of 5 stars for Bridget!

A Step Above
The apartment was spotless! Food in the refrigerator. Parking was easy with restaurants and bars within a block or two. Nice location. It was the BEST VRBO/Airbnb we have stayed in. More like a boutique hotel! Book with no regrets.

South Side Pampered
What a great stay! Bridget goes all in to make you feel as if you’re in a luxury hotel while still offering concierge service for getting around. Condo has more amenities than most hotels, including breakfast food, fruit, ok, cupcakes, coffee/tea, as well as your request of milk preference. Close to Carson Street where there are more restaurants and bars than time to visit. Easy Uber to downtown, UPMC, as well as the ballparks. Cannot express how pleased I was with my stay!

What A Great Place
What is there not to like about the place. First off, Bridget rocks. She was there when I arrived. She went over the rules and showed me the place. She had the case of beer I asked for in the frig waiting for me.A+ for that. Told me my pass key number and went on about her night. The place is well maintained, stocked with cleaning supplies, some food, tea, coffee and snacks. It has a brand new washer and dryer. So I left with clean clothes to unpack when I got home. That is always a A+. Bridget has the place feeling like a real home away from home. The place is in a Great location. Walking distance to great food, drinks and fun. And a Uber ride to the Stadium for a Steelers game is about $13 to $15. It is a truly great stay at a great price and I will be back. Thank you so much Bridget.

Gracious hostess, lovely apartment, great location!
We loved Bridget's home in Pittsburg! And Bridget really understands what guests want. The refrigerator was stocked with OJ, eggs, bread, yogurts, chicken sausage, bacon, butter, milk, grapes, and strawberries.. The Keurig had many choices for coffee. And Ben & Jerry's ice cream in the freezer. Breakfast was easy and delicious for our 5 days.
Owner's pride is evident! The pecan hardwood floors were lovely, the shades opened from top or bottom, the kitchen had good quality pots and pans and dishes. The house was impeccably clean and well-furnished. The queen bed was very comfortable. The water pressure in the shower was excellent. The little private patio outside our kitchen door was a great place for coffee or internet. The mural on the brick made it feel like a happy place! Anticipating any needs, she had new packets of ear plugs, a first aid kit, laundry supplies, etc. We have stayed at 60+ VRBO/AirBNBs and we marveled at her anticipation of guest needs and desires.
We cannot say enough about Bridget as a hostess! She met us promptly, saved a free parking space right in front, gave good recommendations for restaurants on Carson St, and texted us daily to see if everything was OK. She helped us with Uber, which we used daily. The house was awesome (and quiet), and Bridget was the best!!
Stay here! You will be so happy with your choice!

Comfortable. Convenient.
The apartment is conveniently located just off Carson Street to walk to restaurants, bars and shops (half a block from Primanti's, a Pittsburgh "must have" for me), comfortable and well-appointed. The fridge had plenty of goodies from breakfast food to snacks & drinks. Bridget was a friendly hostess. She lives upstairs in the event that you need anything. Additionally, it is impeccably clean. Staying here for three nights felt like our home away from home.

Tastefully Furnished and Immaculate!
This apartment and host Bridget -- by far the best we have ever experienced. The apartment was immaculate and Bridget thought of every detail--breakfast items in fridge, flowers, and sightseeing brochures to name a few. We parked car for 3 days out front and took a bus or Uber everywhere. Don't miss Mt. Washington at night--a beautiful city. Thank you for a memorable Pittsburgh experience.

Great location and wonderful place to stay!
The location is fantastic- within walking distance of many bars and restaurants. Bridget was great - we arrived to snacks and breakfast items in the fridge - even a bottle of bubbly to help us celebrate our anniversary! It was evident she thought of all the details to make our visit so wonderful. We had a great time celebrating our 12th wedding anniversary in Pittsburgh!

Beautiful Space
Great space for two. Location is perfect, convenient for walking to anything on the Southside and a short Urber to downtown and sports facilities. Clean and very comfortable. Beautiful apartment. The extra's of breakfast foods, ice cream and snacks were very much appreciated. Will definitely be using this spot again for our future trips to the Burgh.

A REALLY COOL PLACE IN A COOL PLACE :)
My wife is from Pittsburgh so we make the trip into the Steel city often. I have used VRBO successfully in other areas of the country and saw Bridget's place here and thought it looked pretty cool. Well it is! Bridget was waiting out front for us when we arrived and welcomed us to the property. It is very well furnished with a front living area, a middle room that functions as the bedroom, a back room with kitchen, laundry and bathroom. The back door leads to a nice patio arrangement with a table and chairs. She thought of everything! As others have stated, the frig is STOCKED with all kinds of goodies. The KEURIG coffee maker comes with a variety of selections. But, what makes it even cooler, is it's location just off of Carson Street! Full of restaurants and night time entertainment, there was no need to drive anywhere. And if you want to venture without using your car, the public transportation is great. We purchased a week metro pass for $25/ea and grabbed either the 48 or the 51 bus to downtown or the metro everyday. This is a really cool place...in a really cool place :)

Great location, beautiful rental!
This rental was in a great location, just around the corner from E Carson St, within walking distance to several bars and restaurants. Bridget was a wonderful host, and made sure we had a very comfortable stay. She filled the fridge with food for breakfast and supplied us with coffee, tea, milk and juice (and cupcakes!) upon our arrival. The rental was beautiful and super clean. Would definitely recommend!
