Our room was spacious and the ac came in handy. We had high ceiling and a large restroom in a historical building. Location was good too. It is nestled inside the restaurant El Convento within walking distance to the main center and lots more. The bed was sooooo comfy. There was 3 plants in our room one on the verge of death but I gave it water and cut out the dead leaves. By the end of our stay that plant was thriving and beautiful.
The first 2 nights we had zero WiFi until the third night they finally came and replaced the router. The towels were as hard as sand paper. The lights completely sucked at night because the bulbs are yellow and make it extremely hard to see. The sweater in the shower goes from scorching hot to ice cold.

We stayed here for 2 nights over New Year’s Eve. We loved staying here, it was comfortable and the rustic attention to detail is excellent.
The location of Los Camilos is about a 7 minute walk to the centre square and there are a number of restaurants along the way. It is conveniently located to all the attractions of Coyoacán without being right in the Zócalo.
We never met the host but communicated via the message function in Booking.com. We had an eSIM so this was possible for us, but if you didn’t have reception or relied on Wifi it may be a problem for you.
It appeared that the restaurant staff were the ones to let us up into our room and they were lovely and accomodating.
Rustic charm and attention to detail was appealing and we would recommend Los Camilos to other travellers.
The only room for improvement is to sort out the hot water, which took quite some time to warm up and it was still only like warm.

The room was nice: romantic, large, good water pressure in the bath.
1) Management never mentioned the leaky roof, that left the kitchen under inches of water 3 times during the 5 nights I spent here. A really big mess, water running down the walls and pooling on the floor. 2) The kitchen served me bad (stinky, old) fish that made me sick for two days after eating only two bites. Mexico is FULL of great cooks - I refuse to believe this ciil did not know the fish was old. 3) a drunk came rattling my door at 3am on Saturday night. Despite the locked compound, apparently security is not that tight. 4) All this for $195.80 a night - far more than other nice hotels in the area charge.

location was good, bathroom was huge and nice (r had #4 I think) and it was nice having a coffee machine in the room. overall a cute property (which is mostly restaurant)
we made the mistake of eating in the restaurant - don’t. really not good food although the staff were quite nice. the room itself was very dark and cramped.

Suites Los Camilos was a charming reinvention of a convent. Our large, rustic room was comfortable with interesting wood overhead lighting and a stained glass lamp. It had an attractive bathroom with mosaic tiling, stone bowl sinks, a unique mirror frame and a rain shower with good pressure and temperature. There was a useful kitchenette, with a handy coffee machine esp as the children woke around 7am but the restaurant didn't serve breakfast until 9am. Staff were very nice and helpful. We enjoyed Mexican and western-style breakfast in the restaurant, which appeared to be a popular brunch spot for locals. The suites were very well located for local shops and restaurants, and a 10 minute walk to Placa de Coyoacan.
A bad odour came from the drain in the bathroom at times. The room was quite dusty in various corners. Room 4 was by the road, so we got quite a lot of street noise. All the staff from reception to restaurant had limited English, some depending on Google Translate. After we had gotten sick due to altitude sickness, we stripped the sheets to wash. They somehow didn't replace 4 pillowcases nor the mattress protector, needing us to ask multiple times.

There is a lot to like about this hotel. You can't beat the location - it is an easy walk to the center of the district. The restaurant is amazing. And the staff is very nice.
We booked the deluxe jacuzzi room. However, for the two nights we stayed we had neither hot water nor water pressure. And while the staff tried to fix things, we were left to either shower in cold water or not at all. Forget about using the jacuzzi -- that wasn't even an option. We spoke to Dulce, the manager, about this. And while we all laughed that it must be a ghost, nothing was really fixed. Dulce said that she would speak to her supervisor about some sort of refund/comp for the fact that the room really wasn't inhabitable, but she never ever got back to us.

It is pet friendly and I have stayed here twice because it is very comfortable, the staff is always very friendly and ready to help, I love the location and the restaurant El Convento has great food! It is definitely among my top places to stay before or after a long flight instead of staying at the airport! The shower and the bed are super comfy too!
Nothing to dislike.

lovely staff
excellent location
we went in raining season and room slightly damp.
the building was built in 1552 (!!) so whilst we loved the atmosphere and location the room was very rustic

Dulce made our stay enjoyable.

Interesting place to spend a night in Coyoacan located in an old convent. Close to the central park. Comfortable beds and clean. Very spacious bathroom
I found a bit tense/mysterious sphere specially in the night due to the old construction but there is nothing wrong with it.
The room was just facing the street and since the window could not be closed properly we heard the noise of the cars until very late.
