Perfect for our needs/wants. Cozy.

Cozy little mountain cabin that had everything we needed for a girls weekend away in Asheville!

Rented this property with another family of 4 and had plenty of room. The house has been updated but still holds the charm of an old mountain home with the farm table, rolling bedroom-barn door & hardwood floors. Lisa was great communicating with me about how to get the hot tub to heat.

The outside is a little disheveled, but the view is unbeatable and the inside was very nice and clean. Host was very responsive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

I hate to leave a negative review, but we spent what I consider to be a good amount on this rental, and am disappointed. The pictures reflect a modern, remodeled property. We arrived and found that the property has been remodeled; however it is quite dirty. The toilet hadn't been flushed when we got there, there were ladybugs in every room on the windows and the bed, and we weren't comfortable sleeping in the home. The air vents, light switches, bathroom, ceiling fans indicate a dirtier home that doesn't reflect the modern decor in the pictures. As for the homeowner, the rental was very smooth. No issues there.

The pictures are very deceiving. The house needs a deep clean & lawn-care services are necessary. Check-In was at 3 p.m., but we did not enter the residence until 5:30 p.m. when the maid was done. There was bad communication with the owner. All the bottoms of the doors are damaged in some way. The tv in the king size bed room was damaged when we turned it on. A bear came up several times trying to get into the trash where they haven’t taken it out. There was rat feces in the drawers next to the sink. When mentioned to the home owner, she brushed it off saying that mouse traps would have to be put in place (“Looks like I need to set some mouse traps.”). Only received a $50 refund for our stay. We will not be back & we hope this helps future tourists who are wanting to stay here.

Amazing stay!
We had a fantastic stay. The house is just as cute as advertised! The mountain views from the porch and living room windows are beautiful. It's a ~15 minute drive into Asheville, so it was very convenient. We contacted Lisa with a couple of questions and she was very responsive. We will definitely try to stay here again!

Great place
My husband and I enjoyed our stay in Lasa's home. Her home was clean and ready for us. Everything worked well. We would like to thank Lisa for her hospitality, and we will definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

House was well run and perfect for our family
The house was as advertised and perfect for our one night stay. My only issue was that for some reason we did not receive the code to the front door, but when I called the owner she picked up immediately and gave me the instructions. Other review comments have mentioned the neighbor and while I will corroborate the fact that the house is a mess, we did not see or hear from them so it was not a factor. Our boys loved the hot tub and we loved the quiet seclusion.

Great Stay - Beautiful View
Had a great stay at Lisa's property. The house was clean and well decorated. Convenient to Asheville and surrounding areas. Advice for those using Uber/Lyft, get your ride a little early. Seems most cars stay downtown and it took us a bit longer to get a ride to downtown, the ride back was no problem at all. We did not get a chance to use the hot tub, but did have a little fire in the fire pit which was nice. Lisa was great to work with and even let us know that we had left something behind and offered to mail it to us.

Cute farm house
Very nice little house! Beautiful decor. Nice thoughtful touches. A little confusion getting check-in, but GPS worked well. Only negative is the neighbor; quite a mess.

The house is super cute and has some very pretty mountain views!
The house is very nice and cute. Plenty of rooms and beds if you have a large number of people. The hot tub is great and there are beautiful mountain views. The only critique I have is that the house could have used a deep cleaning. It is very dusty and there were things in the fridge left behind by previous renters. But still enjoyed our stay very much and appreciated the owner accommodating an early check in request.

Beautiful views
House was beautiful with great views of the mountains. Everything you need inside the home. The drive going up is rather steep so be careful. Also we couldn’t find outside lights in the morning which made it difficult leaving in the dark . All in all a wonderful spot if traveling in the area

Cozy but misrepresented
This is a quaint Airbnb, and we enjoyed our stay BUT I wish we knew more of what we were getting into. The property is not as secluded as it looks, as the neighbors in front of the house are trash collectors/hoarders. The inside is nicely updated, but there was a good amount of dust and dirt on window sills that needed serious cleaning. That being said, there is a border fence and decent interior updates. We enjoyed the fire pit, kitchen and bathroom, and tv room. But overall for $260 a night it definitely is way overpriced.

Wonderful
Stayed here with our two sons who are in their 20s and had a wonderful time. Asheville is beautiful and this home had everything you would need for your vacation. There was a guest book full of different hikes and restaurant recommendations in the area which we found very helpful. Sitting on the front porch in the morning with the sun shining on your face was a great way to start each day. The kitchen was stocked, hot tub was relaxing, and there was an assortment of games for both inside and outside use. We hiked, toured Asheville and enjoyed our family time. Would definitely recommend.

The house was clean and comfortable , nicely decorated . House was stocked with everything we needed
The house is well located to restaurants and hiking trails. The property is pretty private and quite. The hot tub was clean and well mantained. We will diffently stay there again.

Great!
Great house. Ample space to hang out by the hot tub or at the kitchen table. Large rooms were a plus, and it was close to downtown. Had a wonderful experience!

Not Worth The Money
How anyone can give this place 4 or 5 stars is beyond belief. With a little more effort, this place could be nice, but it's not there. A good power washing on the outside and new paint inside would help.
Before we arrived, as we drove past the next door neighbor's house, we noticed trash strewn across the neighbor's yard.
Upon arrival, we were greeted by a stray dog that wouldn't leave. The entry screen door was dirty and ready to fall off the door jamb.
While the inside appeared to be nice with many updates, and the bathroom and kitchen were clean and well equipped, the main bedroom smelled as if cigarette smoke had impregnated the walls. I bought an air freshener for the second night as the smell upset my stomach.
The night stands looked like they came from Goodwill, the ceiling fan light or switch did not work. I was asked to strip the bed before I left, which I did, and saw the pillows did not have pillow protectors.
Moving on to the living room, the wall above the front door had obviously been patched. I know this because it wasn't painted. We tried to watch the news on the tv, and the reception was so poor that the picture keep rolling vertically and the sound kept going in and out.
We did not use the hot tub, so I cannot comment. I can say this place does have nice mountain views. But, you have to look past the broken down jeep sitting at the edge of the property (I believe this is from the neighbor) to appreciate the scenery.
I would not recommend this place for the money. It needs a thorough cleaning, and a price reduction. In fact, we checked out two days early. I did not expect to be compensated for the two days as this was our choice to leave early. However, when we notified the owner at 8:00 am that we were checking out early, we did not even receive an acknowledgement that she had received either my text or message through home away from me. As I stated, we were not expecting to get our money back, we just needed to leave.

Charming well stocked cottage.
Lovely property! 3 nice size bedrooms, well stocked kitchen, hot tub and fire pit!

Avl is a great-place. Interior of home was fine.
Hot tub worked and fire pit nice. Kitchen excellent. Location next to a couple of really sketchy adjacent homes.

Great accomodations!
This house is as equipped as our own home. No need to bring a thing, right down to wine glasses, marshmallow sticks, and a waffle maker. Complete, fully stocked kitchen with dishes, pans, casserole dishes, you name it! Lisa was great to work with, very responsive and we found location was perfect. We are already planning to return and stay longer. Only issue would be just one bathroom, but we knew that when we booked it. That would be the only way to improve the interior of the home. Don't hesitate to book this home!

Quiet, comfortable space close to Asheville
We went for a relaxing Bachelorette weekend for my sister's upcoming nuptials and she was thrilled with the location, the beautiful space, and our time there. It's far away enough from the city to enjoy the quiet & mountains, but close enough to be able to do everything you want to do. I live in Asheville and would still consider staying again for a quiet retreat when needed!
4.3
Nice mountain house close to downtown Asheville
We thought this property was a great value and a great location. My husband and I have rented 4 other places in asheville off VRBO, and this was probably the best mix of any that we have rented. The house was nicely acquainted with comfortable beds and linens. They allow dogs which is awesome! The owner is also nearby and even dropped off a hairdryer for us to use when I had realized that I left mine at home. Our favorite things about it were the beautiful mountain view from the living room/front porch and that it only took about 15 minutes of easy driving to get to downtown Asheville. There was a pretty lake with a 2 mile walking trail nearby as well. The only negative (which were minor) was that half of the house smelled like cigarette smoke when we got there, even though it says it's a non smoking house. We would definitely stay there again.
