About this cottage rental
The house was built in 1927 and was originally located on the Biltmore Estate Dairy Farm property. It was moved to this location in the 1950's. It is a cool quirky place with lovely mountain views from the bedrooms, back deck and yard. Interior décor is in "Fixer Upper Farmhouse style". House includes a Hot tub, fire pit and screened porch for our guest to enjoy. Two King bedrooms and one Queen room. The main living room has a sleeper sofa and our sunroom has a twin day bed. Newly added recreation room in our garage (not heated/cooled) with pool, ping pong, darts and 3 tvs.
Need more space? Rent together with our tiny house or with our Blue Bird Cottage.
Our house is a 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath nearly 100 year old cottage that has been updated with todays modern amenities. There is a family room, formal dining, sun room and screened in porch. The master suite has a living area area with a couch as well as a king sized bed and sliding doors to back deck.
There are Mountain View’s from the bedrooms, back deck, hot tub and fire pit. We have a fun rec room in the garage to play pool, ping pong or watch the game/movies. Please note it is a garage and it not heated/cooled.
The house is in a rural area but is just 5 minutes to the grocery store, 10 to Asheville Outlet Mall and 20 minutes to downtown, Biltmore Estate or Asheville Airport.
Although rural we do have a few neighbors and share a driveway with two of them as well as our "Tiny house Airbnb". There is space for 4 cars with additional parking on another part of our property if needed.
Guests can access the entire home.
The house is on a coded entry to allow guests to arrive at any time. We do our best to leave you with everything you need to enjoy your stay in Asheville. However, if you need us we are happy to answer any questions via text or airbnb/VRBO app.
This house sit on 4 acres with two other Airbnbs so I am on the property a lot to make sure all is running smooth. I beleive in giving guests privacy and personal space but I do enjoy saying "Hi" when possible.
The house is in a rural area just outside Asheville city limits. About 5 minutes to grocery shopping, less than 10 minutes to Asheville Outlets. About 20 minutes to downtown Asheville or Biltmore Estate.
A car is highly recommended. We have had guest use uber/lyft for night out on the town with no issues. Post Covid you may want to call ahead for a pick up time. Drivers are a little harder to come by.
Our home is pet friendly to well behaved pets. Guests will be charged a $25 pet fee to be paid prior to check in.
- Please be respectful of neighbors with regards to noise

The house was pretty filthy and had not been cleaned well at all. The master bed had dirty, wrinkled and twisted unwashed sheets and bedding covered in human and pet hair. The kitchen was dirty and inside cupboards were dirty and there was hair everywhere. I had to wash all the silverware so we could use it. Cobwebs everywhere. The floor in the kitchen had crumbs and food all over it. It was just clear it hadn’t been cleaned well in a very long time.
The photographer deserves a raise. The pictures definitely put the home in a particularly flattering light. I shared my concerns with host who refunded my cleaning deposit…but I had the feeling I wasn’t the first to complain about the condition of the property.

This cottage was very spacious for my husband, dog, and I. Lots of modern appliances. Very comfortable King sized bed.
The host was responsive to messages. The hot tub was not very user friendly. I had trouble getting it to a reasonably hot temperature.

We loved it here. 9 women in our 30s and 40s getting away for the weekend and checking out Beer USA. Close to Ashville and great price. Would highly recommend

We had a wonderful time & enjoyed the peacefulness! The kitchen was especially perfect with all that we needed to prepare a nice dinner. Definitely recommend for couples, families, and girl trips!

Very beautiful setting in the rolling mountains, The neighbours feed the wildlife so we were visited by a small herd of deer, a turkey, a chipmunk, squirrels and various bird visit us. Great for a relaxing getaway.
Well equipped lodge style home.

Property was nice, a touch pricey for the area and home itself. Photos were outdated and not entirely accurate. Enjoyed our stay and time in Asheville

The property was clean and very well stocked! Plenty of space for all of us (7 adults).

We very much enjoyed our stay at this home. We travelled to the area to enjoy our kid’s fall break. We enjoyed the area and found the home to be conveniently located, clean and comfortable. I did find it unusual that there was no communication with the host, but none was needed so didn’t bother me. The one thing that I thought could have been better was that there is no latch inside the door keeping a curious toddler from exiting the home. It made me really nervous at night. There did seem to be an alarm on the door that was installed but it wasn’t working during our visit. Otherwise, everything was perfect!

This is an awesome location close to town, with a nice view of mountain in back. The neighbors are distant enough, that it feels private. The back yard is the best for hot tub and fire hangouts. The house is old and layed out weird, but you get past it with the super nice remodel. All the amenities you could need as well as the most comfortable beds! Highly recommended and would revisit.

Beautifully decorated and stocked home, with a big backyard to spread out and lots of sitting area to socialize. What you can't tell from the pictures is that all of the bedrooms and rooms are connected, which is very fun, but just hope you're not shy around the group you're traveling with :)

The house has full amenities. Lisa is very quick to respond to any questions and requests. Snowed decently and it’s a great yard with a nice slope for sledding!

I went in this trip with my husband, daughter and her boyfriend. The house was nice and spacious with three bedrooms. The bedroom all connect and one room has to share a bathroom with another. There is also a room off the screened in porch but it is very cold in there and it is heated with electrical heater unit. The kitchen is the best part of the house and very nice. I prefer to eat out most of the time and cook very little sine I’m on vacation. Overall the house is nice but could use some more updating. The couch is not comfortable except on one side of the couch and the other side sags in like it is broken. Your neighbors are really close. I did enjoy our stay and neighbors are quite and did not bother me at all.

We had a wonderful stay during our short visit to Candler.

Cute house!
We came for a bachelorette trip (8 of us) and it was great. Cute house, hot tub was amazing, the only downfall is that we couldn’t get the pull out couch to open up all the way so one girl had to sleep on the couch.

Cute, mostly renovated
This property was a 15/20 minute drive from downtown Asheville, so that was nice for our group after a long day at Biltmore. There is also an Ingles about 10 minutes from the house. GPS led us most of the way there but we had trouble finding the driveway, off the main road name in the dark. The house is decorated in a very cute fashion just like the pictures show. The house does show its age more than the pictures suggest. We had room for our family of 6 to sit down and watch a movie before bed. Something tricky for us was that the bathrooms were attached and had access to all bedrooms but the bathroom doors couldn’t lock. The kitchen was spacious and gorgeous and nice for us to cook breakfast in the morning. The bedrooms were nice with lamps and cute bedding, dresser if you plan to stay a while. The porch daybed was not suitable for an adult to sleep on, probably okay for a child. We appreciated the nice touches such as games, Roku tv, snacks, water bottles. There are a few neighbors close by so there is not a ton of privacy but that was not a problem for us. The owner has down a nice job making this a cozy, homey space.

1 night in Asheville
Our group of 6 spent the night in Candler... very convenient to Asheville, very accommodating to our 3 couples, having the space for all of us to “chill” ... sleep late and enjoy the morning.... a great escape and opportunity for all to spend some time together on a very relaxed environment~ thanks and really appreciate the Christmas tree!

Nice for a group
It is a lovely house and great for a family get together. There was 7 of us and we had plenty of room. It was very clean and the kitchen had everything we needed. It was pretty chilly so the hot tub felt great!
