About this apartment rental
Beautiful 2BD/2BA condominium in center of Northstar Village very short walk to gondola/lifts, restaurants, shops, skating rink. Spa amenities including hot tub/gym a few steps to adjacent building and 2nd hot tub/gym & pool just across the drop-off circle. Views of village/mountain from private balcony. Gas fireplace. Gorgeous wood trim/doors, wood furniture, tile bathrooms, slate kitchen, granite counter tops. Family friendly. Perfect for amazing mountain retreat experience. Includes free underground parking for 1 car.
My place has truly everything you want or need for an amazing stay included within just a few steps: ski-in/ski-out, concierge/check-in desk, award winning restaurants, casual restaurants, cafes and pubs, fun stuff for families (ice skating/roller skating, bungee trampoline, mountain biking, mini-golf, etc), shops, gondolas and lifts, spa amenities and everything else. Our beautiful village condominium building is just 15 years old, with a spacious well designed layout. Elevator for your convenience. Ski locker for your use during your stay. Conditioned underground parking. Key card access upon check-in.
My prices are usually lower than other luxury condos in The Village because I manage it myself and I like to have it booked as much as possible. Mid-week prices are much lower than weekends, so check my calendar for availability and pricing. My place is just as gorgeous as the other central village luxury condos (even nicer than some) and very clean, with truly lovely furnishings and decor. Compares to Platinum.
BEDROOMS There are 2 bedrooms both with comfortable king beds. The master bedroom has the king bed and also has a fold-out twin bed (slightly narrower than a normal twin) and an en-suite bathroom. The 2nd bedroom has the king bed and also has a fold-out twin bed (slightly narrower than a normal twin). Each of the bedrooms also have a small desk.
EARLY CHECK-IN / LATE CHECK-OUT *Until further notice, no early check-in or late checkout due to cleaning requirements between rentals.
Early check-in and/or late check-out may be available depending on my cleaner's schedule. If available, I generally charge a fee equal to about 4% of your nightly rate per hour (basically 1/24 of your nightly rate.) So if you want 2 hours early check-in and you paid $600 per night, the fee would be $50. Please let me know asap if you are requesting early check-in or late check-out so I can check with the cleaners. I charge this fee because I usually pay the cleaners more for the tight cleaning window and because it is extra work for me to coordinate it with cleaners, front desk, etc.
CLEANING *We are following all recommended cleaning requirements for vacation rentals to prevent virus transmission. This includes: disinfecting of all high touch surfaces, minimum time between guests, masks and gloves worn by cleaning staff and laundering linens per recommendations.
POOL *Until further notice, the pool at The Village Swim and Fitness Center is open by reservation only from 9 am to 7pm daily. Please call (530) 214-8235 for reservations. Time slots are 1.5 - 2 hours depending on day of the week. At the end of the time slot, all individuals will be asked to vacate the premises so the team can prepare the pool area for the next guests in a safe and thorough manner. Reservations can be made up to 2 days in advance and only 1 reservation can be in the system at any time.
HOT TUB *Until further notice, the hot tubs are open by reservation only, with 1 group per hot tub. (There are 2 hot tubs.) Reservations are for 45 minutes.
GYM *Until further notice, the gym is open by reservation only, with a maximum of 4 groups with a maximum of 2 per group.

At this time I prefer you send an INQUIRY rather than an actual booking, especially if any of the following apply:
0) California has any type of covid-19 restrictions in place
1) Your stay starts or ends on a Saturday or major holiday
2) Your group includes more than 4 unrelated adults
3) Your booking is more than 3 months in the future
4) Your group includes more than 3 kids (ages 0-17)
5) Your group includes more than 6 guests
6) Your stay leaves a 1 day gap of a rentable night on my calendar

Great stay, beautiful condo, well equipped (with nice cookware, dishware and glassware!!) and in a great location within the village for Gondola access as well as all the village has to offer for non skiers. Seriously, I've rented lakefront houses on Lake Tahoe that didn't have as nicely equipped a kitchen as this condo. Will stay here again for sure.

Our family of four (kids ages 5 and 7) had a fantastic four night stay. The condo was exactly as pictured and in a great location. Ski locker, comfortable beds, and clean. The condo owner was very responsive to my questions before and during the trip. We loved it and would absolutely stay again.

My wife and I recently did three nights at Northstar and since I ski, while she doesn’t, we did stayed in the village here vs outside the resort. Location convenience is the number one winning mark here, plus check in and communication was smooth.
But from there and given the cost a night, even off-peak rates, we as consistent travelers wouldn’t opt to stay here again. Main issues: lack of any privacy with this specific location of a condo in “the villiage” - you want a end unit or one that looks at nature, not the shopping avenues in the village. The carpets in this unit are dirty and smelly. (As a skier I realize these ski in/out condos always have more wear too). When we arrived and for our stay it had a very strong smell of Indian food and dirty carpet so we bought several candles. Final major item….the lighting, more specifically, the light bulbs. Such a bright white all over the condo, felt like a cafeteria. Would highly recommend changing bulbs for some relaxing ambient lighting.
Overall the host was most gracious and welcoming but the condo itself left more to be desired.

We had a great stay at this unit in Northstar Village. It is well equipped, especially the kitchen. There is a new sofa, comfy beds, nice balcony. Northstar Village is so quiet at this time of year so it was very peaceful and relaxing for us. Looking for activity? There's a binder with loads of helpful information about the area in which we found the perfect hike for us on Mt Rose. All in all a positive experience.

We had a great stay here! Condo is super cozy and centrally located between Incline and Kings Beach. Although there were only a couple restaurants open in Northstar due to covid they were awesome! Quaint wine bar right downstairs!
Loved that the kitchen was equipped with EVERYTHING you might need to cook in and the spacious counters were so useful.
The mattress was extremely soft which I normally don’t care for, however I didn’t wake up with a back ache our entire stay!
The couch could use updating but we didn’t spend much time staying in. Jaysa was extremely prompt and responsive. Overall a wonderful stay and would definitely recommend!!!! Can’t wait to return!

We traveled with my handicapped father and this condo was perfect for him. Wide doorways and walk-in shower were great. The place was very clean and the owner provided a book with lots of information related to the condo as well as the surrounding area. The owner was very quick to respond and a pleasure to deal with.!

Perfect Place
Our family was in Tahoe for the weekend. The unit had everything we needed. Very accessible for our pooch. The owner was very accommodating with our earlier check in request. Would definitely stay there again!! Many thanks for a great weekend!!!

Everything you need!
My husband and I wanted a little get away and this property was perfect for us. It was well equipped with everything we needed and was nicely furnished. Everything was tidy and clean and Jaysa, the owner, was great to work with. We definitely look to book this property again.

This condo has everything you could need for your time at Northstar. Not only is it located perfectly, it has a well-stocked kitchen, lots of common space and beds for 7. It's harder to find a dog-friendly rental at Northstar so, for us, this was a perfect choice! Will be back!

The Owners Thought of Everything!
My family of five (one having four legs and a tail) stayed here during a week that Tahoe was getting hammered with snow. We hardly ever stay in the Village, but decided to treat ourselves this time. :) Smart choice!
Upon arriving, I realized that I left my MacBook power cord at home -- and wouldn't you know it, there was one in a kitchen drawer. In addition to that lucky find, there were also USB ports in all the rooms, which was HUGE!
Our family enjoyed having all the extra space to spread out. The kids had their own "wing" and we had ours. The kids said they loved their beds. The master bed was comfy with very good support -- something that we value greatly! Tons of linens, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, tissues, toilet paper, etc....
The kitchen was stocked with all the items needed for cooking...pans, utensils, and plenty of serving options. Although we grind and brew our own coffee beans, it was a nice surprise to see the Keurig and the coffees to go with it.
And finally, the location....it was SO convenient to step out of the building and drop the kids off at lessons then hit the gondola. After long days on the mountain, we enjoyed easy access back to the condo without shuttles. My husband and I were even able to leave the kids at the condo and go out to dinner on our own at Petra, just downstairs. Nice to also have Copper Lane right outside the elevator for all the extras during our stay.

3 minute walk to fresh powder? So amazing!!
I selected Jaysa's place because my wife REALLY wanted to stay in the Village for the first time, and see what it was like to be able to walk to/from the lifts without the hassle of driving/parking/shuttle/etc.
PROS:
1. Interior is just as shown in pictures. Nicely done, spacious and super clean.
2. Everything in the Village is such an easy walk away. Shopping, eating, lift lines... It was fantastic to have everything you need right there.
3. It's one building back from the main area, so it's quieter than being close to the ice rink. You still hear some of the music from that area, but it's much more subdued.
4. Underground, heated private parking (with available bellhop carts) made arriving and (sadly) leaving super easy and convenient.
5. There's an easy to use Nest heater and fireplace to warm yourself by. The balcony let us have a place to watch the snow fall and look around outside.
6. Owner communication. I've used AirBNB and VRBO quite a bit, and communication with Jaysa was super prompt, easy and professional. I'm confident if there was an issue, she would have been on top of it.
CONS:
1. We had to go home.
2. When there's fresh snow, there is a small plow that drives through the nearby walkway in the middle of the night, as others have mentioned, to prepare for the incoming crowds. I sleep through everything, but my wife said it did wake her up. I told her it was a small price to pay for fresh powder. I'm so sympathetic like that... ;)
3. You can't see a whole lot from the balcony (but like I mentioned before, it's also most likely far quieter than being adjacent to the skate rink/main area).
We had a great time and didn't want to leave. Having a full kitchen also allowed us to cook many of our own (much healthier and less-expensive) meals in the space, which was nice as well. The large granite countertops made preparing our drinks and meals a breeze. The bed is a bit on the soft side, but is very comfortable, and I usually can't stand soft beds.
The pictures and other positive reviews are were all totally accurate. I'm hoping to gather some friends to return for another trip to enjoy the snow, and would be happy to stay here again.

Great place with great location!
My fiancee and I rented this place to stay during our wedding at Northstar. It had a great, central location in the Village and had everything we needed. We'd stay here again.

Great! Perfect location!
The location was perfect and amazing! The only review I’d add is the carpet needs to be cleaned or updated and master bed mattress updated. Other than that we would absolutely stay at this rental again. We are very grateful to have had the opportunity to stay there. We look forward to next summer and renting this place again.

Great condo in Northstar
We had a great stay. The condo was well appointed with everything we needed. Northstar village never disappoints. We love swimming, mini golfing and bike riding, and not having to drive to have fun is convenient.

Excellent Spring Break stay
Our family of 4 (2 teen aged kids) really enjoyed our stay here. The condo was clean, comfortable and a perfect location with being practically ski-in/ski-out. The beds were comfy, the water was hot with good pressure, and the kitchen well equipped. The ski locker was very conveniently located as well. We were fortunate to get a ton of new snow during our stay but our only complaint was the snow removal guys started working right outside the bedroom windows at 1am and would make sweeps every 2 hours or so which made it a little hard to sleep. The price you pay for having fresh powder I suppose.
