Really cute space with a kitchen, utility closet (vacuum, iron, extra blankets), king bed (we were surprised and delighted). Clean and tidy with a binder full of things to know about the property and the area too which was great. The view of the local mountains was lovely and we caught them on a fun foggy day where the trees barely peeked out. Angela was amazing and super responsive to us. Check in and check out were easy. There's a cafe and a bakery within the same block and both were excellent! (This space is not ADA accessible, so keep that in mind if you have folks with wheelchairs or mobility needs).
Other than that, plenty of cute spots to eat and go out nearby and it's a short drive from Downtown Harper's ferry if you want to hike, peer at the water, or go tubing during the warmer season.
Unfortunately the description didn't mention it, but this space is above a bar. Really good for folks who are bargoers, but not the best for folks looking for quiet. The first night, the music wasn't super loud, but went on until about 12:45-1am. There was a birthday party going on below us the second night and the bass was quite loud, shaking the lamps and the artwork at one point. The private event/djs are a rare thing from what I've heard though and apparently they were filming parts of a movie in the space the next day. (If you're into it, the bar does have live music and open mic nights, it's just not something that we were looking for). Angela was such a pleasant host though, so if the noise might point you elsewhere, check to see what other spaces she has available!

Big place, clean, nice accommodations. Convenient to sites.
TV didn’t work. Need black out curtains.

Great location. Very spacious and clean.
It was a fair amount of steps to climb and was over a bar/venue. However, the music was good, ended promptly at 11:00, and it was plenty private and quiet.

This space was very private and nicely kept. It was clean, roomy, and comfortable. Care was taken to make sure guests would have the essentials--linens, toiletries, etc. We were excited to be able to hear the live music from the bar below, and we were able to walk to coffee shops and a breakfast cafe. It was nice to have a half bath as well as the full bath. The bed was big and super comfy, and we appreciated the ceiling fans so it didn't get stuffy. Communication with the host was easy and productive. We enjoyed our stay very much!
There was no breakfast as advertised, but you could walk to places nearby. The space could benefit from a closet of door hooks for robes, towels, or other items not meant to sit on the floor.

The loft was beautiful we loved it
Wish the curtains were blackouts the sun woke us up around 530am
Though having the bar under us was fun you cant go to sleep until they close due to music is very loud. The bar was quiet by midnight which was not too bad, but we were tired from the day and wanted to go to sleep earlier but couldnt.

It was comfortable and clean for my needs. It was spacious.
I was told that this loft was above an event venue when, in fact, it is above a country bar that played music until 1am both nights that I was there. The music was rattling the walls--it was unbearable. The patrons were loud and rowdy under the bedroom window well after the music stopped.

I loved how roomy it was!
I wish it had a bathtub

It was very relaxing and peaceful.
There wasn’t anything that we didn’t like 😊 my only suggestion would keep extra toilet paper under the sink.

Very nice little apartment, full kitchen, full bath, and a separate powder room. Great for a weekend getaway. The king size bed was very comfortable. A nice cozy couch provided for watching some evening TV. The ensuite bathroom was very spacious. The wood floors were rustic and very nice. A few dishes, silverware, a coffee pot and cookware was provided with a full size refrigerator. The bedroom had a doors to close, but a cutout to the kitchen.
The kitchen faucet was very loose, which made it difficult to turn it to hot water for dish washing. A dish towel would have been nice, but paper towels were effective. I would recommend a split unit that would be much more effective.and would provide for heat and A/C. There was only 1 smoke detector, which was at the top of the stairs. There were places for 2 other smoke detectors, but none were installed there in the main "living" space. This was a major concern as this was winter and the curtains covered the baseboard heat, potentially causing a fire. The occupants may not be aware if a fire broke out while sleeping as the only smoke detector was on the opposite side of the apartment. That being said, the curtains seemed to not be an issue as the heaters did not get that hot and the material had a higher flash point. I would recommend putting curtains on the windows by the stairs as the house next door can easily see in.

This pet friendly location was central to walk to everything that you needed - to the park and all of the visitors centers, the AT, the shops and the restaurants.
If The Barn has a big venue downstairs then parking could be a challenge but we luckily did not have that issue.
