We had a wonderful stay at the Song of the Sea! Well stocked kitchen and comfortable bed.
But the view from the dining area is really AMAZING! The only suggestion would be that blinds on the bedrooms windows would be appreciated.
I can wholeheartedly recommend this home!

Amazing view, quiet location, and a perfect getaway for any couple.

Song of the Sea is a wonderful little home with spectacular views, in a very peaceful setting. We have now been four times, and each time we have loved the views and the location. Unfortunately, the bed and the furniture are to the point where they detract from the overall experience. Bed is soft/worn, and the frame is so squeaky it is impossible to get in or out of bed without waking your partner. The couch and big chairs in the living area are similarly over soft and uncomfortable to sit on for very long. As usual, SOS was quite clean, but the furniture situation is going to keep us from returning.

My husband and I rented this house for a “work-cation”. We work remotely and like to have a change of scenery now and then. This was perfect! The view is stunning and we were able to enjoy the porch and easy beach access several times. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and spices. The bed was very comfortable, and the washer and dryer were very handy to have. We will definitely be coming back to Song of the Sea!

We have stayed at many different vacation homes on the Oregon Coast during the past 20 years. Most we have stayed at only once, but there are a few we go back to frequently. We will be adding this home to our list of ones we look forward to returning.

We loved our stay at The Song of the Sea! The property was beautiful and perfect size for our needs. Very private, quiet, clean. The sound of the waves can be heard from almost every room.

Home was a cut above the rest in terms of modern appliances, newer home and not just the same old tired 1980s rental look

The property was exactly as the description and pictures represented. Even with stormy weather it was comfortable, warm and cozy. The ocean and beach were fabulous for viewing and walking. If I need down time this is a place I would go. Not recommended for kids because access and surrounding area could be a hazard. Romantic though.
The property management company are very efficient and friendly; we had a couple of small issues arise but were handled quickly and never intruded on our time.

Idyllic beach cottage! Within walking distance to the beach, not crowded. Quiet, cozy & clean! Our favorite spot was on the deck, listening to the waves roll in, watching the pelicans dive and even lucky enough to see some whales! We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful stay....however, the hide-a-bed needs to be replaced. My friend got no sleep because of the bar in his back all night and the permanently folded mattress...

Clean and comfortable with a great view. Beach access was nearby.

This location was beautiful and the pictures are accurate on the listing. The closest beach access is very steep, however, it is a very short walk to the public access. We were there during the week and the beach was not busy at all!! The house was clean and seemed to have all things needed to have an enjoyable stay. The driveway is indeed steep, and I do wish that we would have been able to park our car in the garage, but it worked out fine. I am not sure that having the property managed by a large company is as good as a local owner run management. We did have a little trouble with the key code lock, which has gotten mentioned in reviews before. The only number that you can call directs you to a call center that is not local. We eventually got the lock open, but calling a non local number in that situation is a bit stressful. Other than that, I would recommend this place as a quiet, out of the way location to enjoy the ocean!

We love Gleneden and the home was very updated with top of the line appliances and loved the gas range. We could not have asked for better weather and with that said, the intense afternoon sun through the glass heated the house to 97. Our block had a power outage for several hours so we are not sure if it affected the dryer as it would shut off every 10 minutes. We needed nothing because right down to kitchen utensil…everything was supplied. We will be back🦀

This home was absolutely lovely. Clean, great location, gorgeous ocean view with beach access close by. Great experience!

This is a very nice house for a couple. Comfortable king bed, quiet neighborhood. The house was clean.
Tiny complaints inadequate number of washcloths with two for both of us for a 3 night stay and not enough TP. We had to go buy more. These are such tiny things I don’t know why they’d be overlooked.

We will be back.

Small but cozy, Song of the Sea is clean, modern, and fairly well-appointed, and - most importantly, offers a tremendous view of the ocean from its cliffside perch. The kitchen is excellent with an unparalleled Dacor oven/gas range. The TV and internet are above average. The neighborhood is quiet, and the equally quiet Glen Eden Beach is a short 3-minute walk away (albeit down a tricky rock scramble). If you don’t want to cook, try the nearby Side Door Cafe, Squatchsami food truck, or Pelican Brewpub. The only drawbacks are minor: a shower curtain that tries to stick to you, the lack of a roasting pan, and a somewhat hard mattress. Overall, this remodeled cottage does not disappoint and we plan to continue renting over the years.

I booked this home for a winter weekend at the beach to plan for my business. What a great place to stay and work! The home is cosy, well appointed and very comfortable. While the view is the most amazing aspect of this home, the fireplace, gourmet kitchen and open floor plan was fantastic! I'll be back!

We really enjoyed our stay .. very comfortable house with all of the comforts of home..
one suggestion though is to have the bedroom windows with darkening shades or blinds ..
other than that. We will plan another visit soon :)

We loved our stay and found only two issues. Electronic entry and coffee pot.

Absolutely loved this place!! With that being said, the one drawback is definitely the 10:00 checkout. Please, PLEASE change that to the normal 11:00 checkout of other places.

House was in a beautiful location with an amazing view. Everything we could have asked for!

Great views but some amenities didn’t work and host never responded when messaged about it
The place was beautiful, great views. Just frustrated that the grill didn’t work and the Roku wouldn’t connect to the internet. Messaged the host about the grill and never got a response which was really frustrating. Overall a good place but the amenities really should be tested between stays if they’re going to be on their listing.

Everything was so clean and the views were amazing. Loved this property and would love to come back soon.

Beautiful view
House awesome and very clean. Great views.
FYI:
Neighborhood beach access was very steep and rocky.
Driveway was steep.
Keypad didn't work. Used key which worked very well.
Major problem was with VACASA
VACASA didn't send key code until 1 1/2 hours after check in time and we had to contact them. Long time on hold and rude customer service.
Requested information before check-in did not receive any reply.

Weekend away !
This house was perfect for couple . We enjoyed very much . Only thing was we lost few hours before we could get inside the house because the key code didn’t work . We had to go to near by restaurant and call to get new code . Everything beside that issue it was wonderful. We will definitely go back again.

Warm and relaxing with an incredible view
We truly like Song of the Sea. This was our second stay and we have a third booked for the summer. It's our favorite place in the Central Oregon Coast.
Remodeled and cozy with an open floor plan and wonderful views. The kitchen is well-appointed with a wonderful gas range, the TV is decent, and the washer and dryer are nice too. Access to the beach is a short walk away, but the descent down the steep hill to the sand is not for those with mobility issues - the driveway is super steep too, so you probably should not stay here unless you can handle hills.
With a few tweaks, this place is a solid 5-star. The smoke alarm often goes off when you cook, the bed's mattress is hard, the shower curtain clings to you in the small shower, and we've had something broken each time we've been there (the dishwasher the first time, the door's key pad recently, and we had to reset the electrical breaker to get the oven to work). Thanks to Vacasa for being responsive to the door key pad issue and giving us a plan B to get into the house.
I hope the owners address the fairly minor issues by the next time we stay here. We're hoping to give a 5-star review then!
