We really enjoyed our stay at The Porches. The building is lovely, getting entrance was easy, the unit was perfectly clean and adorable. We were greeted with wine and cheese, delicious. It's a little more expensive, but it was worth it.

So glad we booked this stay! I was THE perfect location! Everything within walking distance! Brand new and spotless, very comfortable overall. Loved Saugatauk - great little getaway!

I’ve been going to Saugatuck at least once a year for decades. This was probably my favorite spot to stay this far! I’ll be back!

This is the second time at Mark's house on Mason Street. It is a comforatable quaint house. Get outdoor space to relax.

I'd give it 6 stars for location if I could. Just at the edge of downtown and you feel like a vip with reserved driveway parking. The place is pretty basic but had everthing we needed for our stay. The only negative was the outdoor space which was overgrown and neglected - not inviting at all.

I want to tread carefully here, because this is NOT a terrible review. First, the positives. The location can not be beat. If you plan on spending the day in town, you can walk everywhere. The inside of the cottage was very clean, and the kitchen, laundry, and bedroom were very well- stocked. It was just my husband and me, and although a king bed would have been more comfortable, the queen was just fine. The location was quiet and secluded. Some observations: having to go down steep stairs in the middle of the night to use the washroom was not ideal. The furniture was on the older side and only the couch was "loungable." The TV was very small and YouTube TV is not user- friendly. Plus we couldn't figure out how to get live news or sports. No instructions were given. Both the inside and outside of the cottage needs a good paint job. The patio tables and chairs in the deck were so dirty they were not usable, and the deck and backyard needs serious maintenance work. Broken gate latch and fence, uneven, hazardous ground, etc. This place has such great potential, but needs some updating and TLC.

2 block walk to everything. Private, dead end street but never felt unsafe. Would stay there again!

Great location
We loved the location of the property and the space felt much larger than it looked in pictures. The patio is beautiful and secluded, but unfortunately the mosquitoes in the evening made it very uncomfortable - despite a citronella candle and bug spray. The main issue was the pull out couch - mattress was thin and very uncomfortable, and the sheets had rips in them. I would recommend this property again but only to those who don’t plan to use the couch as a sleeping space.

Nice place and great location
The unit is very clean and well kept and it is in walking distance to everything in Saugatuck. The only down side is the outside deck which is in bacd condition and dirty, but we would stay here again regardless of the deck

Great cozy house right in the downtown area
Although this place is right downtown, it is a quiet, lovely place. It is one of the cleanest places we've ever stayed, especially the things in the kitchen. Very comfortable and very easy to access everything in Sagatuck.

Great get away!
This is a cute little cottage that is just as pictured and suited our needs perfectly.. My only comment would be that the bathroom is not designed well for putting on makeup or doing hair, but I made it work and it wouldn’t stop me from staying again. The location is perfect for a stay in Saugatuck. We would definitely recommend this property.

Perfect location!
This is the 4th time we've stayed at this cozy (and clean) cottage. We love that it's just steps from downtown Saugatuck and has a beautiful outdoor space with a private yard for our dog. Since our last stay, the owner has acquired designated parking, which is a huge plus! It's so nice to find a reasonably priced house in town for just two people where we can spread out a bit for the week. It has a well-equipped kitchen and laundry room, separate living and sleeping areas. The owner is very responsive and the booking process was easy.

A Charming Respite
We had a lovely time in Saugatuck in this sweet cottage located close to everything. The best part of the space was the charming covered garden deck where we stayed dry even during a downpour.

We really enjoyed our stay! Weather was amazing! The place was, clean, stocked with everything we needed. So close to town, but yet very quiet and relaxing. The bed downstairs is a pull-out! So it is what it is, not sure how this place sleeps 5 people!
Would stay here again!

This small quiet guest cottage was perfect for my long weekend in Saugatuck. It located very conveniently to just about everything I really enjoyed being able to walk to all the shops and restaurants. The tenant that lives in the main house of the property is very quiet, to the point you don’t think anyone is in there. Parking is perfect and conveniently located on the right side of the house. The instructions say it is located on St Joseph street but it is really more of a large shared driveway. I did not see a street sign sign indicating this was St Joseph street so that was a bit confusing but worked out great. The house was very clean but the carpet and dining room chairs and chair cushions are very stained and in need of replacement or cleaning. It seems the temporary solution has been to use heavy air fresheners to mask odors so if you have an allergy or sensitivity to these be prepared or request they do not use them prior to your stay. There were plug in deodorizers and the couch smelled of being heavily sprayed. The apartment comes very well equipped with everything you need except bar soap for showering (as mentioned in previous reviews) You also need to bring shampoo which is no big deal but just want to mention it. There are many stores close by if you want to pick it up once you arrive. Liquid hand soap is provided. The bed was comfortable. There are two smart TVs , one in the living room and one upstairs in the loft style bedroom. The neighborhood is safe and quiet.

I guess I shouldn’t have been surprised by the lack of activities available in the Autumn season ( and with a pandemic ). The thing that irked me the most was the lack of support from VRBO when it came to information provided on how to gain ENTRY to the property that I’d reserved .
