About this house rental
Located on the east branch of the Westport River this 1790-built Georgian house is a fine place for your vacation. Seven miles from beautiful Horseneck Beach, set in the heart of the historic “Head of Westport” neighborhood, this lovingly restored three-bedroom home captures a time gone by.
With a fully equipped kitchen and spacious dining room, delicious meals can be enjoyed at a table for 6. The master bedroom has a queen bed, while the 2 upstairs bedrooms have full-size. All the bedrooms have A/C, but every afternoon around 4 or 5 the cooling breeze comes up the river, and makes the sitting on the patio a treat.
Find a quiet spot in the garden to read, or sit on the back yard patio in the morning enjoying coffee and birdsong.
There is a seafood market down the road where the freshest fish and shellfish can be bought to put on the gas grill. One can eat nothing but local fruits and vegetables from farm stands and farmers’ markets (when in season).
Kayaks and paddleboards can be rented across the road. Or you can bring your own to put in at the town landing there. The Head is an ideal place to start a bike ride. Westport has great roads and (mostly) polite drivers.
A short walk brings you to a country store featuring ice cream and penny candy and fresh made donuts.
The rolling hills of farmland and salt water rivers are unique to New England.

Perfect place to stay for our daughter's wedding at nearby Bittersweet Farms. we were able to gather together in a well maintained centuries old house Great time and thanks to Sacha and Quentin

We stayed for a long weekend. The first door bedroom was perfect for family with mobility challenges. The fenced yard was great for our toddler, and the patio was perfect for dinners outside. The kitchen was well equipped and things were easy enough to find. Great books and games. We had some trouble figuring out the TV, and didn’t find a stereo so bring a Bluetooth speaker for tunes. Otherwise a lovely setup perfect for family or friends, walkable to coffee, ice cream, kayak rentals, and local trails. Beautiful historic house. Hosts left clear instructions, too! Would definitely recommend.

A friend and I were fishing in the Westport area and this place was perfect for our stay. Convenient to Horseneck Beach, and the Westport River. Plenty of room and beds were very comfortable. Sacha was very responsive. We had a great stay!

What a cozy spot to meet my new grandson. Allowing my son and daughter in law to have a relaxing place to introduce us to their bundle of joy.

My friends and I were down for a quick weekend away to run the Horseneck half marathon and 3.5. We had a wonderful experience. The property is charming and the yard is beautiful. It’s located near Westport River winery and to the parking lot we started our race from. We would definitely stay here again!

Much of what I would say has already been said by other reviewers. I would add that the hosting couple were very friendly and helpful. I was travelling with a senior who has mobility issues. The home offered a main floor bedroom and en-suite which worked perfectly for her...with an adjoining kitchen and living room with a TV. The hosts even offered the use of a mobility walker or "Rollator" while we were there. While you need to be fit to access the bedrooms on the top floor if you are travelling with someone with limited mobility these was a great choice for us.

We cannot say enough about how wonderful Sacha and Quentin are as hosts. Their place is charming . We appreciated the AC option, yard and having a driveway to park in. We’re located right across the Westport river and kayak rental place . We had such a fun and relaxing vacation.

Comfortable private vacation
My husband and I rented Sasha’s well-equipped and lovely antique home for a month in August. There was a quiet, totally private sunny garden with table, umbrella and grille, but we were able to enjoy the whole larger property, including a vegetable garden, hammock ch a irs and a path to the river. With a bedroom and bath on the main floor we stayed on one floor except to do laundry upstairs, but when our family came to visit they had the upstairs to themselves. Perfect for two of us with private expansion for our guests.
The location was lively on the street with the country store (fresh donuts and good ice cream—yum) and kayak rental nearby, but very quiet in the back. The hosts were extremely responsive but did not intrude at all. Thanks, Sasha and Quentin, for everything.

Head of Westport Farmhouse
The house was just as pictured and described. We were arriving after 7pm after a flight from CA. The fresh fruit, milk, coffee, pound cake and a chilled bottle of wine that was waiting for us made us feel relaxed and welcome. So thoughtful! We loved the quaint touches of homemade quilts on all the beds in the house and the downstairs bedroom where we slept was very comfy. Sacha and Quentin are lovely hosts and extremely responsive to questions and concerns. I can just imagine staying in this home in the spring or summer with the big yard complete with bbq and outdoor dining area. Don’t miss the little market just steps away with donuts made fresh in house every day. Bottom line: great house, great hosts and great location!

Everything exceeded expectations
The property is deceptively big and much more so than it appears on the listing photos. The house was clean and well appointed, with everything you could possibly need. The setting is beautiful, with a sense of space about you while also having all the necessary amenities relatively close by. Sacha and Quentin were the perfect hosts, making sure there were groceries available for our late Sunday arrival. They were on hand for whatever we needed. 10/10 experience. If we were in the area again we would definitely rent here.

Clean, Great Location, Cozy with Great Character
We enjoyed our stay in this lovely updated and cozy antique house. It has two bathrooms, three bedrooms with closet space, two living rooms, and a great kitchen. We’d love to stay again and use the backyard too. The claw foot tub was the best, always looking for rentals with one! Parking and wifi were easy and the charming head store is next door, should you need doughnuts, eggs, coffee, ice cream, etc. We also loved the natural light in the super clean house and the location offers easy access to our favorite things in the area, including the beaches. We’d love to come back!

Clean and Comfortable
This house is lovely; it's somehow spacious but cozy.
The kitchen was totally functional -kind of a surprise for a rental, and especially for a historical house. The stovetop and oven are gas, the dishwasher works well, there's a big enamel sink, and there's enough counter space to not feel cramped.
The long table in the main room was great for tackling work while traveling, and still left enough space to eat dinner.
The TV room was my favorite space, the couch is really the perfect spot for reading or knitting. Plus there's a table in there that's big enough for jigsaw puzzles.
The bedrooms are comfortable, with plenty of space for hanging up clothes. The bed we slept in was firm (happily), and there were extra quilts in every room. The linens were clean, and the beds made up crisply, so they felt pretty inviting.
There's a hallway with plenty of extra towels and beach towels. -I imagine this would be especially nice in summer. The showers had great water pressure and hot water. The laundry room had a functional washer and dryer, laundry soap, dryer sheets, and hanging racks.
The outdoor area had some gorgeous fall foliage while we were there, and made a great spot for sipping coffee in the mornings.
Overall, this is the perfect spot to vacation in Westport. I would definitely recommend it, and look forward to visiting again!

Wonderful stay in Westport!
We had a wonderful 2 weeks staying in this beautiful house, almost as soon as we walked in, we felt at home. It was clean, comfortable and furnished beautifully. It had all the graceful lines and elegant proportions of a house built in the late 1700s, but with all the comforts of 21st century living. The garden was a joy to relax in, leading down to the river at the back of the property. The town of Westport, with the winding river running through it and picturesque houses, was a pleasure to explore. Sacha and Quinton were very welcoming and friendly. There was even a welcome pack of milk, tea and cake waiting for us when we arrived. We would heartily recommend staying at this lovely home, and would love to return again one day!

Perfect Holiday Home
This wonderfully roomy three-bedroomed property perfectly fitted our stay in Westport. We had exquisite weather during our holiday, so we spent most evenings in the back garden making use of the grill. Sacha and Quentin were fantastic hosts, allowing us the use of the extended gardens to the rear and they even mowed the lawn for us to play croquet on!
We all agreed that we were incredibly fortunate to find such a beautiful and well-presented house to stay in and we can't thank Sacha and Quentin enough for helping us have the greatest holiday any of us have ever had.

Nice location & plenty of space
We enjoyed our stay at the farm house. They have a lovely yard and patio set up for dining outside. The location is very convenient and love that it is next to the Old Country Store for morning coffee, provisions, and of course ice cream. The house is well-equipped with everything you'd need to make a comfortable stay. The owners live next door but were not intrusive. Would recommend this property for someone looking for a quiet & quaint getaway in the SouthCoast

This beautiful historic home captured our hearts!
We rented this lovely home for just over a week to be with my son's girlfriend on her college spring break. From the moment we got here it felt like a second home. It was spacious enough for us to spread out, yet perfect for family time when we wanted it. The kitchen was fully stocked, and there was never anything we needed that we couldn't find.
The home was fresh and clean and the beds were super comfortable! I worked virtually for part of the trip, and the internet accessibility and speed was great. We loved the location - the feel of historic Westport yet near absolutely anything you could need or want. We did day trips to Newport, Salem, and Gloucester. When we come back in warmer weather we look forward to hanging out in the yard, grilling, and hitting the beaches.
The owners, Sacha and Quentin, were always available but left us with complete privacy.
We'll never forget our wonderful week here and look forward to coming again soon!

Spacious, bright, and lovely house!
My husband and I stayed here during the week of Christmas and I am so happy we did. This house is spacious, has a ton of natural light, and is super cozy. The location is great and the hosts were excellent, checking in on us from time to time to make sure our stay was going well. This was by far the best rental I’ve booked.

Great stay for family of 5
We were visiting family in the area and needed a place with room for 3 teenage girls. Two had to double up, but there was enough room for everyone that we were not on top of each other like at a hotel. We would definitely rent the home again on another visit. The owner was very nice and helpful.

Most wonderful house!
We stayed in Sacha's and Quentins house for 7 nights with 3 adults. The old house is situated in a wonderful garden. Sacha and Quentin live next door and even provided us with everything for the breakfeast, because we arrived late. This was most friendly!!! The house has everything, we needed, has very comfortable beds and bathrooms, two (!) livingrooms with nice and comfortable sofas and tables. The is space enough and everything, what one need is there. I have to emphasize, that we found Sacha and Quentin most friendly and we were very happy to meet them.
The house lies close to the best sights of the coast of Rhode Island, wonderful! We went to Boston by car, which was no problem.

An excellent stay in Westport for our family of six...
This home was spotless and well maintained. All of the decor is comfortable, tasteful and pleasing. Sacha was available for questions and made us feel incredibly welcome. We loved spending time there with our four children --lots of board games, cooking, reading -- and will definitely return with our brood in the future! Best Wishes, Renee & Brendan

Beautiful
The house is wonderful and has all the amenities. The best is the shop next door with home made muffins and donuts every morning. The house could use a little cleaning and a bigger TV, but would go back again next time we're in town. Ms Sullivan was a great host with a lot of details.

A nice surprise at head of river
My family and I rented Sacha’s place over the Fourth of July weekend. It was an impromptu choice without much of the usual research going into it. I remember liking the fact the rental gave directly on the head of the Westport River, according to Google Maps. What better place to launch our kayak and commune with osprey?
At the same time, I have to admit I had misgivings because I expected to make some compromise with modern comforts given that Sacha’s is a classic 18th century home, once belonging to a well-to-do merchant.
What a marvelous surprise was opening the door to find the Sullivans had updated every inch of the place. Clean, freshly painted in white and greige, with new everything. So much so that I didn’t even have to touch the bedsheets to feel confident that they were fragrant and crisp. Though I happened to spy my wife make that ultimate test out of the corner of my eye.
For me, the place represented the best of the old and the new. Healthy bones and character from the past, a kind of European-inflected airiness from the new.
Now, if you have another minute, I’d like to offer my wife’s perspective:
“The kitchen was fully-equipped for us to make a delicious summer meal, including local fish grilled on the BBQ. There’s a large table that seats eight, along with a cozy sitting area for cocktails before dinner.
“The three bedrooms were tastefully done in period style. The master with the queen sized bed was on the first floor with a private full bath. Upstairs were two bedrooms with a large bath with a club foot tub and shower. A long hallway connecting the two bedrooms to the bath afforded our kids much-appreciated privacy. AC and laundry facilities were great additions.
Sacha was the perfect host — friendly and available to answer any questions. We will be back.

Beautiful Historic House in a Tranquil Setting
Our family stayed in this property in mid-June, and had a truly wonderful experience. The house is set off of the Westport River and a lovely creek runs through the back of the property. The house is stunning, the original structure is from the early 19th century, and has been beautifully updated with modern amenities while maintaining spectacular original architectural details including wide planked wood floors, fireplace mantles, and a grand entrance way. The property is expansive and exquisite. There are several huge trees, and a large lawn which the kids adored.
Our family cooked or grilled most of our meals, and found both the kitchen and grill to be well equipped and very clean. The three bedrooms were large, each had comfortable queen sized beds, and generous amounts of natural light along with great access to the cooling breezes coming off the river.
Sascha was a terrific host, easily accessible, and full of great knowledge of the neighborhood and surrounding attractions. Next to the property is the Head Town Landing Country Store which has coffee and pastries in the morning as well as an awesome ice cream stand. Kayaks can be rented directly across the street, and great seafood and spectacular beaches are a short drive or bike ride away.
Our family fell in love with this setting, and we plan to make a stay at Sascha’s amazing house an annual tradition.

Excellent stay. Landlords are knowledgeable and very helpful about the area. The arrangement is perfect for a family adventure or couples celebrating. Close to beaches with beautiful back roads, farmers markets, and yard sales. Close enough to New Bedford for shopping at malls, movie theaters, and the Whaling Museum for rainy days. Fun leisurely breakfast at The Bayside Restaurant where you can enjoy a view of Cuttyhunk, Martha's Vineyard, and Nantucket on a sunny day.
Great back yard for frisbee and badminton or just a swing of beer or wine from the local brewery and vineyard.
Definitely will return and recommend for those who enjoy both privacy and togetherness.
