Lovely and secluded property. Plenty of space inside for family and fenced in backyard that was perfect for kids and dog to run around. We saw many deer just walking around the neighborhood and fireflies every night. It’s a special place that feels very far away from daily life.

We had 4 generations staying in the house for a week. The layout accommodated everyone: sleeping space, living room, dining, and especially outdoor living. The house was full of light and comfortable. The yard was big enough to chase a soccer ball or football around. Outdoor dining and fire pit were great!

A true get-away
Generously laid out house with patios and porches and ample hanging out spaces. Large kitchen, great dining area and sweet bedrooms. And all of this wonderfulness situated on a beautiful verdant property. A real treat.

Fabulous time with our family.
We loved having our kids under one roof to celebrate our 50th anniversary. The best present we could receive. We all love the country, just like where they were raised. Cooking together, late night talks, games and the beach!

The most lovely place to stay!
We adored every bit of our stay at this Little Compton get-away house! My husband and I captured 5 nights with our adult children for a working vacation together this week, the height of daffodil season on Sakonnet. The property, grounds and home both, were idyllic. The house is arranged in a great blend of communal and private space, beautiful light pours in, the views from every window are dreamy! The outdoor design is perfect too, really well equipped with dining and living spaces. I know we'll return, it was a wonderful experience in every way!

Perfect Getaway
My family and I stayed at Jen's house for the month of September and it was the perfect getaway. We were very close to the beach and were able to spend time there almost every day. We had a few family members visit throughout the month and were easily able to sleep everyone. We loved spending time in the yard and around the huge outdoor dinner table. There is plenty of room and we never felt crowded together. Jen was responsive and always got back to me quickly anytime we had any questions. We would love to return!

Idyllic, bucolic, and quirky
The spacious house and large, private yard had something for all of us. I loved the entryway, with ample closets and cubbies, my father loved the deck, where we are most meals, my daughter loved the comfy couches for reading, and my son’s gleeful shout, “There’s a ZIPLINE!” summed up his review.
We played a lot of soccer in the yard, had a fire in the fire pit, and used the grill many nights. The scenic dirt roads made for fun exploration, with the ocean in easy biking distance (house bikes and helmets included!).
Jen was helpful and forthright; the lines of communication were before, during and after our stay.
All in all, we loved our time at the Red Gate Farm.

Lovely two weeks stay!
We had such a nice stay at this lovely home. The location is private and close to both Westport and LC. We loved enjoying our meals outside on the new deck and inside is comfortable and welcoming.
Thanks for a great stay!

Beautiful and private
We enjoyed our 1 week vacation at Jennifer’s private oasis. The cacophony of different birds welcomed us each morning and serenaded us each evening.
We did misunderstand the bed situation from the ad description but it ended up working out.
Thank you for a lovely stay at your beautiful home.

Tranquility by the Sea
The minute I entered this lovely property and home, I could feel myself totally relax. It's a beautiful modern Farmhouse with many rooms and high beamed ceilings. I believe I wrote the owner immediately to tell her this place speaks to me in so many ways...it's perfect! The property is set in a beautiful private clearing on 41 acres of towering trees, raised organic gardens and fruit trees. The stars at night while we laid on the new chaise lounge chairs were spectacular. So glad we took the last minute opportunity to stay here this past week. I hated to leave. Thank you Jen! Our stay was so restful!!

Quiet sylvan retreat on a road less traveled
What a lovely home and property! Located on a secluded and picturesque lane well off the road, in the woods and about a 2-mile walk to nearest beach, this spacious and attractive house features a roomy and well appointed kitchen, vaulted living room ceiling and lots of windows, several outdoor dining areas, a great firepit, and a large grassy yard great for games. Five bedrooms and four bathrooms made it easy for our two families (11 people) to be here comfortably for a week. We enjoyed the quiet, sylvan, stone fence-lined lane that runs by the house, watching horses in the paddocks across the lane, and walking down the lane and then through a lovely prairie with great views to Quicksand Pond. The nearest beach, Goosewing Beach, is a 2 mile walk, or you can drop off at the beach with a car and shuttle back to house using a bike. (There's no parking at this beach, which no doubt explains why it's relatively deserted!)
Property is located south of Adamsville and is fairly central, so easy to reach Westport and Horseneck Beach to the west, or Little Compton and Southshore Beach to the east. Owners were very warm, welcoming, and responsive to any questions. Would highly recommend this wonderful house and property if you appreciate a quiet retreat in a clean, spacious and clearly much loved home.

Lovely house, lovely surroundings
We highly recommend this beautiful, comfortable and well-outfitted house, located in a quiet area near Westport Harbor. We enjoyed being able to walk or bike to the beach (ERBC) or on the many paths surrounding the property. We also enjoyed relaxing at the house, which has a large yard and several sitting areas outdoors, including a fire pit and a fully screened porch. The hosts were kind, helpful and readily accessible whenever we had any questions. Thank you, Jen, we had an excellent time!

Piece of Heaven
We stayed in Little Compton in the beginning of July and it was perfect for our large family getaway. The setup of the house was great for privacy when you needed to be on your own and had a large open floor space in the living room, kitchen and dining room for when we all wanted to be together. We never felt cramped during our stay. The house is setback from the main road and is privately fenced in. The yard is spacious and there is a fire pit, closed in porch, outside seating, playground and grill to use at your leisure. There is a large television hooked up to Netflix and Amazon if you want to watch any movies or tv shows. There is also a DVD player for anyone that wants to bring any movies to watch. WiFi worked well although best reception seemed to be in the living room or outside of the house.
The owners happened to greet us on arrival and were wonderful and easy to communicate with throughout our stay. We ran into a few small glitches and they were responsive and timely to ensure our comfort and always checked in to make sure everything was going well for us and if we needed anything.
The best part of the trip was that we didn’t feel the need to sight see or travel far from the property due to the beauty of Little Compton. The beaches are easily accessible by car, bike or foot. We chose to spend most of our time on Goosewing Beach and South Shore Beach, which are connected. Getting to Goosewing Beach is half the fun as you have to go through some farmland and a sand trail that leads to the beach (would not recommend for those that have difficulty walking, small children or elderly). South Shore Beach is the main beach in the area, which has parking ($15-$20 dollars) and porta-potties available - it was less than a 10 minute drive away and if you walk the length of it you will actually reach Goosewing Beach! The owners helped us navigate how to get to the beaches on arrival and were sure to give us tips and helpful recommendations during our stay. We will hopefully be back again in the future. Our family has stayed in many different areas in the northeast as we usually go on a trip every year and this was one we will surely remember. Thanks for having us!

Perfect family home
This was a very comfortable home, in an excellent secluded yet centralized location, and for our family, one of the best layouts we have had in 11 yrs of renting in the area. To have 3 bedsrooms up with 2 bathrooms and then the two separate bedrooms with 1.5 bathrooms on the first floor worked perfect for our multi-generational family. The playroom and yard were a real bonus with our grand children. We took a vote and of all the places we have stayed ( and we have stayed at some very nice places over the years). This home is the one we would like to come back to the most. Great outdoor space with patio, screened porch, large yard, fire pit and even a zip line. The owners couldn’t have been nicer to work with, very accessible and responsive.
