About this house rental

Just completed renovations July 25, 2016, and more June 1, 2022. Back yard redefined to perfection. Quiet leafy neighborhood in charming Old Town, you will be within walking distance just blocks to downtown Grand Haven highlights and attractions; library, Central Park (with live music every Tuesday), downtown shopping district with dining, museums and galleries and Grand Haven's "Worlds Largest Musical Fountain." The scenic Grand River channel and boardwalk leading out to the Grand Haven State Park and Lake Michigan beach and picturesque light house pier just a stroll away.

1574 sq. Feet with 2 loft style bedrooms up, with privacy curtains, queen with twin beds in each, great view out large back window. The living room is cozy and stylish with a new queen sleeper sofa that converts to a master suite with French doors and summer curtain (this is where I would sleep) lay back and watch flat screen TV and have your private custom all newly tiled bathroom with whirlpool tub, walk in fully tiled shower with flat screen TV to watch from anywhere or listen to Pandora, stacked washer/dryer. 1/2 bath near kitchen with all new fixtures and tile. Dining room has table to seat 8, sitting area by a window up front. New kitchen island bar height, seats 4, plus plenty of room to hang.TV WiFi, all new stainless steel appliances, refrigerator, electric stove and dish washer, fully stocked for your convenience, also provided Keurig carafe and single cup coffee maker with coffee, teas and cocoa, blender, microwave, toaster, spices, dishes, glassware, flatware , cooking and grilling utensils, paper and plastic ware, & paper towel.
The kitchen has new slider that opens to a new extended, one level grey cement patio to sit and have coffee and people watch, grill out with with a 4 burner Weber grill and 6' table with seating. Beautifully landscaped back yard with a cement artsy patio in back with gas fire table, comfortable cushioned seating and bar with stools. Shade sail on both patios, just pick your zone for dining and entertainment, also 2 fountains for soothing ambience. Bird feeder to attract birds and wild life to watch. Two car driveway parking and legal over night street parking. Just installed a beautiful privacy curtain for each bedroom up stairs. BACKYARD TOTALLY FENCED IN FOR PETS AND CHILDREN.

This house has been renovated from top to bottom and is very clean, which made us feel right at home. In all of my trips, I've never rented a house as well-stocked as this one. We also appreciated the helpful labels on lights and such. The backyard was so pretty and so relaxing. I only wish we had more time to enjoy it!

This was a wonderful place to stay! The entire place was so clean and everything was in place to make you feel right at home! It was just a short walk to downtown Grand Haven and easy to access main roads to visit other towns. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing few days in Grand Haven. The house was immaculately clean and comfortable. The owner thought of everything- from comfy beds, well planned outdoor space, and family games. The backyard is fenced, which we did not realize but were delighted to find as we brought our dogs and this made them more comfortable. She also provided blankets, chairs, a barbeque, and was a great communicator. The house is a few blocks away from downtown, which made for a quiet night's sleep and easy access to restaurants and fun.

The property is in a great location to enjoy the highlights of Grand Haven. Beautiful updated kitchen with all needed supplies. Would have preferred a coffee pot rather than Keurig only, but it was sufficient. Lots of sleeping space! Both bathrooms on level one, making it a little longer trip at night. Beautiful outdoor space for gatherings. Overall, a great place to stay while visiting the area.

This is the first property I’ve rented that was so well-prepared for its guests. From face wipes, shampoo, laundry detergent, coffee, and everything else in between, the owner made us feel very welcomed for this stay! The home was beautiful and with a GORGEOUS backyard! The location to downtown was great and we visited downtown every day. Walking to the beach was about 40 minutes so keep that in mind if you plan to stay here. We didn’t mind it—always a good excuse to stop at Dairy Treat for ice cream! The host was easy to get ahold of and we would highly recommend this home to any visitor of Grand Haven!

We can't say enough good things about this house and our stay in Grand Haven. The location is located within walking distance of downtown and an easy drive to the beach. We love the updates to the kitchen and enjoy spending time in the backyard. Our six year old daughter and dog love it here as well. This was our third time staying at Carrie's and fourth time in Grand Haven - we love it so much, we plan to return again next summer.

We loved staying at the Terra Cotta Pearl! Our stay included myself, my husband, 2 children and our dog. The space was clean and inviting and the beds were comfortable, which is a big plus in my book! We never lacked for any amenities, finding everything we needed to feel at home. The location was superb - close to all the downtown shops and restaurants. We hope to visit again soon!

The host was very pleasant and easy to reach. The home was beautiful and well-stocked with kitchen tools, bathroom linens, and some toiletry items. The amenities were numerous, including beach towels, beach chairs, yard games, a gas fire table, grill, etc. All the items were in excellent condition (we have stayed at other homes that advertised items for use that were broken or not well maintained). The outdoor space is relaxing with water features and plenty of seating for outdoor gathering. We absolutely loved our stay!

We absolutely love staying at Carrie's house. This was our second visit and we are already talking about scheduling our stay at the same location for next year. She has everything you need for your stay, is a wonderful host, and the location is perfect. It's a great house for anyone traveling with kids or dogs. Highly recommend!

House was centrally located made getting to an from beach an attraction easy. Clean and the owner Carrie thought off everything you could possibly need during your stay. From Linens, appliances to backyard was high quality an beautiful. Carrie went above and beyond to answering our questions and to shipping back plush toys my granddaughter left.

We are repeat guests and just love this property! It’s absolutely perfect for our labradoodle with the fenced yard.. we love what Carrie has done with the backyard space! The home is fully stocked and very clean! We expanded our family last summer so brought our 1 yo with us this time - so it was our first family of 4 trip to GH and it worked out great with her too! There’s a nice washer and dryer for use - which is super important with littles! The location is perfect to be able to walk everywhere! And Carrie is fantastic! She is quick to respond and great with communication! We can’t say enough about her! We look forward to booking our stay for next summer!

Perfect place for a family vacation, including the family dog. The location is ideal, and close to everything. The home is beautiful with lots of artistic and creative touches, but most of all its comfortable and welcoming. The backyard is a lovely and relaxing retreat (especially loved the fire table), and great for children and pets since it is entirely fenced-in. Carrie is a gracious and attentive host, who has thought of every detail. She certainly goes above and beyond any expectations! We would certainly love to stay again if visiting the area in the future, and would highly recommend it to others!

We had a great time staying in Grand Rapids. The house was a perfect fit for the three of us (two adults and a three year old) and our dog. Our toddler and dog loved playing and spending time in the backyard. The location was absolutely perfect. We were able to walk to the lake and main drag easily and did so multiple times a day with our dog and toddler. The house was very clean, cute and had everything we needed. Carrie was a wonderful host and helped make sure we had everything we needed during our stay.

Very great experience! Nice house, worked well for my family of 5. Nice backyard to spread out and enjoy dinner from the grill. Wonderfully stocked, we brought extra stuff we didn't end up needing. She even had dog bowls for our dog. I love the amount of natural products throughout the property, definitely quality in the details. Kitchen is cozy and so stocked we didn't have space in kitchen to put our dry good groceries and snacks in a kitchen cabinet for the week. Not a big deal, we ended up leaving all of our dry goods on the countertop. Loved having the keurig coffee with great choices each morning. Short drive to beaches (6min) and downtown (5min). Walking is possible if you're not carrying a bunch of stuff and your kids are built for a few miles. Great stay!

We had a wonderful time at Carrie's house. It was out first time renting a house and not staying at a hotel. I don't know about other rental properties but this was definitely the way to go for us. She thought of everything! The house had a comfortable feel to it and the beds were so comfy!! Everything was clean and well maintained. The backyard had both shade and sun and plenty of seating. It was within walking distance to the downtown shops and some restaurants. It was also very close to the marina and beach. Overall our stay was really great, relaxing and seeing how much we loved the Grand Haven area, we will definitely be back!!

This vacation property was amazing for my group of friends looking for a relaxing getaway! The house was meticulously taken care of with many amenities included such as beach towels, beach chairs, coffee, ice, and a fully stocked kitchen which we used to cook one night. The backyard is delightful with multiple seating options, a gas fire pit, and a gas grill. It was a short walk to Washington St. where the shops and restaurants are located and we could quickly drive to the beach and the pier. Carrie was very easy to get in contact with, if needed. I would definitely stay here again if traveling back to GH!

Great way to relax before school!

After a few long months at home, and facing a school year online, we needed a few days out of our own house to regroup. The Terra Cotta Pearl was just that! Carrie has a lovely place, spotlessly clean, with all of the essentials covered. We put the grill to good use, and enjoyed relaxing in the backyard. We walked into town for farmer's market, some shopping, and to see the lighthouse. It was an all around great trip!
