The beach has been revitalized, over 25 restaurants and bars are open and jet skiing, parasailing, and fishing are back. The Publix grocery store is open. Please come and support our beach as we recover from Hurricane Ian.
We have done many renovations since the hurricane with all new luxury vinyl throughout the house. Our repairs are all complete. The enclosed pool is heated and waiting for you. The beach looks great and they brought in tons of sand to rejuvenate the Beach. Restaurants and bars are open. Our house now has great beautiful full panoramic views of the Gulf of Mexico from all floors. parasailing and jet skiing are back. Food truck courts are now a new addition to the beach. Live outdoor music is back. The Yucatán, Wahoo Willys, Bonita Bills, Fresh Catch Bistro, Dixie Seafood and Junkanoo are some of restaurant’s now open. Margaritaville is opening soon with all new bars, restaurants, and spa. The Beach trolley is running. Please come and support our beach as we recover from Hurricane Ian.
Fort Myers Beach offers miles of pristine sandy beaches, wonderful shelling, and a wide variety of water sports including jet-skiing, parasailing, swimming, fishing, and boating. (Jet-ski and boat rentals are available). And there is a community pool (not open yet) with water slides. All of these activities are within walking distance of our house. And there is world-class golfing nearby.
Casa Bones Del Mar is our beautiful, Non-Smoking, upscale house with an enclosed heated pool and lanai on Estero Island - Fort Myers Beach, directly across the street from the beach. Our house is perfect for couples, families and family reunions. Our house is located mid-island and is in a quiet residential neighborhood.
Casa Bones Del Mar is the perfect home for your beach retreat. It is a large home located centrally on Fort Myers Beach. The house is directly across the street from the beach and offers geart views to the Gulf of Mexico from our balconies. The public beach access is only four houses away, a one minute walk.
Since the hurricane, we have replaced all the flooring in the house with new luxury vinyl flooring. We also have new small appliances, furniture, pictures, and accessories.
The kitchen has been totally remodeled recently with new cabinets, granite counter tops and all new appliances including a refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, stove/oven, coffeemaker, toaster, blender, silverware and dinnerware, spices, as well as all the gadgets you'll need whenever you are cooking in. We also have a Weber gas grill for outdoor cooking. If you prefer to dine out, there are many restaurants nearby.
The family room has leather, very comfortable furniture, a large HD TV and a DVD player and a surround-sound home theater amplifier. The entertainment unit includes games such as checkers, Backgammon, chess, Monopoly, and playing cards. There is plenty of seating for everyone in the living room and balcony area.
The dining area provides ample seating for your group. There is a large screened in enclosed balcony with two dining tables and fans off the dining and family room areas.
Our house offers three bedrooms, bonus room and three baths. The house has one king bed, two queen beds, three twin beds and two queen size sleeper sofas. All the bathrooms have been remodeled. There is new furniture throughout the house and bedrooms. The upper floor has a large master suite with a king-size bed and a private balcony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. You will have beautiful views of the Gulf of Mexico, Sanibel Island, and spectacular sunsets. There is also a large sitting area with a queen size sleeper sofa and a HD TV on this floor. There is a large master walk in closet. The master bathroom has a large shower and a sunken bathtub. The Manatee bedroom has a queen-size bed, and a picture of a manatee on the wall (cute). The third bedroom has a twin bed and a bunk bed (two more twin beds, three total). There is an additional queen size bed. There are ceiling fans and HD TV's in all the bedrooms. There is a queen size sleeper sofa in the master bedroom and in the family room. We also have a very comfortable queen size air mattress.
The private enclosed pool and lanai area has a large pool deck and a full size heated pool. Beach chairs and chaise lounges are provided as well as several tables and chairs for seating and to enjoy outdoor cooking at the bar b que. There is a covered porch area and cabana room for escape from the sun with a fan. There are some pool toys available. You provide the tropical drinks.
Additional amenities include central air-conditioning and heating, a full-size washer and dryer, along with bed and bath linens. Beach chairs and beach towels are available for you to use. There are wagons and coolers on wheels provided to get your things to the beach. The beach is a short one to two minute walk from our house. There are restaurants and beach activities such as parasailing and banana boat rides within a short walking distance (two blocks). The downtown Times Square entertainment district is only a 3/4 mile walk or drive from our house. There you will find many excellent outdoor restaurants and bars, both gulf side and on the back bay. There is an information book in the house which provides information on what to do, where to go and best restaurants. The free beach trolley stops in front of our house.
A new Publix Supermarket (not yet open), a drugstore, movie theater, and shopping are minutes away by car or island trolley. Please review our collection of local restaurant menus and brochures describing Fort Myers Beach and nearby tourist activities.
Driving times to major cities include: Fort Myers, Sanibel Island and Bonita Springs (15 minutes); Naples (30 minutes); Miami and Tampa (two hours); and Orlando, Disney World, Universal Studios, and Cape Canaveral (approximately three hours).

Recently got back from our stay in Fort Myers, the house was OK. Whoever is taking care of the maintenance is not doing a good job. The pool was very dirty, I tried to clean it myself but the pool net was torn. The house inside was in decent shape, but didn’t seem like the floor had been vacuumed/cleaned in a long time, and the closet door in the hallway leading to the bedrooms was completely off its hinges. I tried to contact the property manager through the Vrbo application but the app kept timing out (not the property manager’s fault). Nonetheless, we still had a great time, the house is a fantastic size, easily accommodated our family.

I have many things to say about this vacation, all good, the location could not be better, an incredible view, this house is equipped with everything you need to spend a relaxed and fun vacation, I plan to return next year, I don't have a single complaint, it was definitely a magnificent choice to rent. this house for our vacation

It simply doesn’t get much better than staying in this home. The location, pool and set up of this property make any vacation a relaxing success. David is always awesome to work with when we visit FMB. Any issues that came up with the property were quickly addressed and solved by David. We look forward to scheduling our next vacation here.

This is a perfectly located property. The beach is across the street and visible from your balconies. Beach access is a few foot steps away, just 4 houses down the sidewalk. There is an attached pool and lanai w lounge chairs. The home has everything you need from new dishwear, nice big beach towels, beach chairs and wagon for transportation. Publix is less than a mile on the same side of the street. Although we went during Spring Break & the island was hopping, the house is far enough down the street that it was quiet.
We ventured to Sanibel, Captiva, Naples & Marco during our stay. Great Location.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. It was steps from the beach. Our 4 year old & 1 1/2 yr old loved the heated pool. The owner was prompt when I messaged him with questions. It was nice to have an owner who does that!!! We will stay again if we go back to fort Myers beach. Weather was perfect-sunny and 75!! Everyone had their own room and bathroom which was nice ( me and my husband, & 2 daughters and their husbands. ) 4 year old in twin bed room and baby upstairs in portable crib in mom and dads room. It was a nice relaxing time for all!!

The house is very spacious and had a great location. Was well equipped with beach towels, paper towel, toilet paper, laundry soap and dish soap. Close to restaurants and Publix. Things that could use improvement:
1. full LP tank
2. More kitchen accessories (i.e. larger frying pan, kitchen utensils)
3. Shampoo would be a helpful addition

This is a perfect rental property if you're looking to stay in the Ft. Myers Beach area with a larger group! It's in a great location (just a walk across the road to the beach), and also has a Publix located ~a mile down the road which made picking up groceries extremely easy during my stay.
The house was very clean when we arrived - the kitchen was well stocked with pots/pans, dishes, etc. They also provided extra beach chairs, carts, and towels which was very convenient given most of my group flew into the area. The covered pool area was also another added bonus!
There is still some damage to other houses from Hurricane Ian last year, but the house was perfect condition! Beaches were great and there are still a lot of restaurants and shops that open that were a short walk (or 10-second drive) away.
Overall had a fantastic time and didn't run into any issues with the house. David was very communicative during our check-in and check-out process...would give this 6/5 stars if I could!

The home was beautiful- despite fort myers beach damage, this home was perfect condition as was the beautiful beach. Large home and great for groups or family, nicely decorated and well kept. Thank you. We had a great time.

This property was great for our family spring break. The space was clean, very roomy, and well put together. As to be expected, there was some projects still being worked on from the hurricane damage but nothing that hindered us from having a great time. David was extremely helpful and accommodating! 10/10 would absolutely stay again.

Ft Myers was badly damaged, completely damaged by the hurricane. This property was spared for the most part. The owner has been trying to bring it up to speed. When we arrived one of the bedrooms, one downstairs next to pool, did not even have air conditioning. There was plywood over where the A/C should have been. The covered pool is not - it is mostly destroyed. The location is great as you can literally walk across street to the beach. But you should not be paying full freight for this property while Ft Myers is under construction. And this house is still going final renovations. It will be a great house and beach location soon, but not today and should not be presented as such. Three stars and that would be generous.

We loved our stay! The house was so very clean and newly remodeled and updated. The pool was heated and a comfortable temperature. The owner stopped by and made us feel at home. We will definitely be coming back again!

This was the first rental for this property following Hurricane Ian cleanup. As soon as we inquired about it the owner called us to let us know what was working, what wasn’t, and what was available on Ft Myers Beach. So communications from the start was excellent! The owner even stopped by to check on us!
The things not yet repaired were minor for us: garage doors, screens, etc. The living spaces, kitchen area and pool were what we needed and they were in excellent condition.
Location is great. Right across the street from the beach with chairs, coolers and beach towels to enjoy it, plus wagons to haul it over.
Although it was sobering to see the devastation still to be cleaned up and repaired, the beach is rebounding. Crowds were returning to enjoy the sun. Food trucks were available and restaurants are opening. No grocery stores yet, so get your supplies before crossing the bridge.
We had a great time making memories with our kids and grandkids. We will be back!

Fun family time at the beach
David’s place was great for our group of 10 people. It was nice to have bedrooms and bathrooms on all 3 levels. It was just a walk across the street to the beach and we loved having a private pool. Great restaurants nearby. We had a blast kayaking with the Manatees at Lovers Key State Park. Some of the furnishings and appliances were a little worn down in the house and it could have been more thoroughly dusted. But overall we had an excellent stay.

Wonderful stay!
Overall, our entire group loved this house and the location. While there were a few things that popped up, nothing was a deal breaker and we would absolutely stay here again! David even called toward the end of the week to check in, make sure everything was going ok and that small token was appreciated.
The house had a fully stocked kitchen, TONS of towels (bathroom and beach towels), lots of pool toys, beach chairs, wagons, etc. and they were all much appreciated and so helpful (def more than any other house we have stayed in). The pool and decks were our favorite parts of the house. I would highly recommend renting bikes and/or golf carts though as there tends to be a lot of traffic on Estero toward Times square and the bridge. Plus, all of the parking near restaurants/shops in times square require parking to be paid for and this house is somewhat of a lengthy walk (in our opinion).
Publix is about a mile down the road for groceries. Suggestion: Wait until day 2 to buy your groceries. It is included in the welcome message that the refrigerator may seem warm upon arrival (due to being open for extended periods of time for cleaning, etc.), but in the binder on the counter is where it mentions that it can take up to 12 hrs to properly cool. We spent quite a bit of money on groceries when we got there (not seeing the 12 hr part, so that is a fault of mine) and the refrigerator wasn't cool at all. Luckily, there was another fridge/freezer in the garage that we moved groceries to temporarily. Like I said, not a deal breaker at all, just a thing we wish we realized ahead of buying groceries.
Trash pick up: Trash pick up is done once a week, but when there are large groups, we really felt there should have been an alternate plan for new large parties arriving. With only 2 outdoor trash cans, both were full when we arrived and due to the holiday, trash pick up wasn't for another 4 days after we arrived (and we had 12 people). Again, not a deal breaker, we just started off in a not so great status and feel bad for the next group to check in.
The beach access was a short walk away and we had ocean views from both decks (online pictures really highlight the upstairs deck, but you have good views from the middle level as well). Loved the light by the pool area so we were able to swim at night. Other suggestions: dishwasher and stove (may be time for an upgrade), pool screen door doesn't close fully, nothing that would prevent us from staying again.

The location was perfect, just a short walk to the beach. We loved the spacious bedrooms and the kitchen had everything we needed for a family of 6. We highly recommend renting - it was a perfect location for a family vacation!

Outstanding property, super thoughtful Host
House is located in a quieter part of Ft. Myers Beach but still convenient to beach (short walk) and stores. Host considered what a family needs for a stress-free week at the beach/pool and has it all on hand. Plenty of room in the house to spread out, lots of beach and bath towels, chairs, umbrellas, wagon to cart stuff, stroller for small child, pool/beach toys, etc. We stayed at two other VRBO properties on this trip and this Host stands out as the most thoughtful we have encountered.

Good family place
The location was great, close to the beach, restaurants within walking distance, far enough away that it was quiet and peaceful. It accommodated three families really well. The kids really enjoyed the pool and the front porches were great for family time.
The owner was responsive to the minor issues that arose in a very timely manner. He might consider a laundry service or update the appliances, as I spent much of my last couple days babysitting the washer and dryer making sure there was not more than three loads of laundry as the owner requested.
