Amazing view
The house is amazing with great view of the ocean. It was quite spacious for our group of 7. The host was very friendly and helpful. They had lots of kayaks too. Unfortunately the weather was not great for us to a kayak but will surely be back again in the future.

Amazing Hidden Gem
We were surprised by the quiet home and beautiful view. The town of Stonington was welcoming and friendly. We couldn't have picked a more perfect and relaxing spot in coastal Maine to spend part of our vacation. The house was well equipped and had everything we needed. Best vacation ever!

Great Maube experience
Loved watching the fishing boats and enjoyed the ever changing October weather. Stayed 5 nights and enjoyed windy days, rainy days, gale warnings and one crisp stunning sunshine and calm winds days. Took the kayaks out on the sunny, calm wind day in the harbor, carefully avoiding the working fishing boats. Excellent restaurant next to the house that does carry-out. It was shoulder/end of season, during COVID, so we found three restaurants and a sprinkling of stores open with more limited hours. The house had everything we needed plus extras. Host responded quickly and was very helpful and accommodating when we requested an extra night.

Wonderful location, beautiful views!
Wonderful location, walking distance to everything you need. Very nice house, comfortable furniture and beds. Nicely decorated. Big enough for a large group and also very cozy for a couple. Kitchen was fully equipped. They are building a beautiful new patio with great views that will be connected to the deck. Manager was very nice and helpful. We did not have any problems with the house. We hope to return someday.

Fabulous location
When I started looking for a rental property for extended family and friends I will admit I’d never heard of Stonington. We wanted a home large enough for my husband, myself, our two (big) kids, and two more adults. We wanted a place we would be comfortable spending lots of time at “home” due to the pandemic. I can’t say enough about how much we loved our stay. We made use of the many kayaks on property, ate dinner on the deck overlooking the harbor every night, and even saw a sailboat race come through the harbor one day.
We enjoyed lobster, Maine blueberries, oysters, and steamers.
When the oven didn’t work well I sent a message to the owner Barbara, who responded within minutes and had it repaired within a day.
The location is walking distance to downtown Stonington, where you’ll find ample takeout options and a delicious ice cream stand.
We ventured (90 minutes) to Acadia National Park on a couple of our days, and walked down the road to take a puffin tour boat on another. We will miss the sights and smells of this beautiful cove.

family Main vacation
This house is the perfect location for relaxing and watching the boats come and go. The house is older, but that is what makes it perfect. We spent a lot of time out on the deck. The town is small, so not a destination for shoppers. It is for people who want a relaxing vacation. The biggest downfall is the location. It is a long drive to get back to the main road, but worth it if you want to experience the life of a lobster fisherman. The owner was easily available when we had a problem with the heating system.

Lovely seaside home with magnificent views-wonderful stay!!!
We enjoyed staying in this lovely home with its magnificent views and rustic charm. Each room in the house you can relax and enjoy the views of the beautiful harbor. We enjoyed sitting on the outside deck each morning watching and listening to the lobster boats head out to collect their traps.
The location of the home is a real treat. You can walk to town or head to the harbor a hundred yards out the door. Fin and Fern restaurant is located a few doors down as well as the boat to the surrounding islands. The home was perfect with 2 bathrooms for the 4 of us. There was 5 bedrooms so plenty of room for larger groups.
We ate out, kayaked from our door, dined in and visited barred island preserve, sanctuary preserve and settlement preserve as well as beautiful sand beach. A highlight of our trip was dinner at Aragosta on Goose Cove. It was wonderful!! Nervous Nellies Jams and jellies was quite an experience too!! Stonington shops, restaurants and friendly resident’s was fun too!! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this lovely seaside rental and Barbara, the owner, was very attentive to any questions we had before and during our stay. She is a very caring host. Thank you again for sharing your beautiful home with us and all your hospitality. We will be back!! 🌻

Location Fabulous
Comfortable house with interesting views of the harbor and kayaks available for use. In the 13 years we have been renting houses in Stonington and renting kayaks at Old Quarry this is the best arrangement we have found.

Great location
Great location, well equipped, needed some upkeep and some areas needed more thorough cleaning. We still enjoyed our stay and Stonington is terrific. Very nice to go to dock to buy fresh lobsters as the lobstermen are coming to dock.

Hope to return
We loved our stay in Stonington. The house was perfect for our family. Everything you wanted was walking distance. Great restaurant just 2 doors down. The town in quaint and a great place to go to relax. We did Eco tour which we really enjoyed. Stonington is not the place o go if you are looking for touristy type things to do. It is for those who want to relax, hike, kayak and just enjoy the views. We bought lobster from co op and steam at the house. Perfect

Barbara is a great host! Our favorite. We love the house. It’s a perfect location. And great house.
We love staying here. The location is perfect. We enjoy watching the sailboats come in and out of the harbor from the deck. The kayaks are so easy to launch right from the back yard and we jump off the dock into the cove right there at high tide for a swim. Walking distance to all the restaurants and shops right in town and everything is so accessible. Always thankful to Barbara for such a great place and perfect hosting!

Idyllic Maine Coastal Village
We loved our stay in Stonington! The views from the house were absolutely gorgeous, and the location is perfect. Stonington is a gem. Large enough to have what you want--coffee shop, grocery, several great restaurants, an opera house (!)--and small enough to be friendly and cozy. It's also a great base to explore. We went up to Acadia and Bar Harbor one day (the athletic in the group hiked and the rest of us explored Bar Harbor). The house is equipped with everything you can imagine--and some you might not: binoculars! We used the kayaks to explore the harbor and neighboring islands. We also took the ferry to Isle au Haut and hiked there. And Barbara is wonderful. She's readily available and gave us great tips on kayaking and what else to see. Also, don't miss the Fin and Fern restaurant, two doors down from the house. They have wonderful espresso and pastries for breakfast--and every other meal there is wonderful too. We'll be back!

Lovely spot on the harbor, fully equipped home, great host, and kayaks galore!
We had a wonderful time ... better than we could have imagined! Barbara was a fantastic host who responded quickly to every question, has filled her lovely house with everything you could possibly need, and a bevy of kayaks on the dock ready for exploration in the archipelago of islands just beyond the harbor. We were only there for 2 nights and all 6 of us wished we were there for longer and agreed we’d easily return. Lobster etc is easily available, either from the dock or through a woman whose name is on the refrigerator! Evenings on the harbor were delightful, made even more special by the twinkly lights (and tea lights) one of our group had brought from home to adorn the deck. A little slice of paradise.

19 Seabreeze is a great place to rent! The location is perfect, the house and the view are amazing!
We have rented the house twice now. The private dock and the kayaks are a major plus. We jump off the dock at high tide and use the kayaks often. Restaurants and shops are walking distance away and the sounds of the harbor lull you to sleep. There is plenty of room for guests and the deck over looking the harbor is roomy enough for meals outside and socializing. We highly recommend 19 Seabreeze Ave!
Thanks! See you next time.

Quaint and beautiful
This house is in such a quaint and beautfual area. Right on the water, as close as you can be to the lobster boats. We bought lobster right off the boat one evening. It was fantastic.
The house is an old home that is pretty well maintained. A little bit of detailing could really push this house to the next level. Several areas had paint chipping off the ceiling, deep cleaning needs to happen around door handles, light switches, and buttons on microwave and dishwasher (visibly dirty). The main floor bathroom’s toilet was never cleaned from the guests before, so we had to clean it when we arrived...this may have made me a bit more sensitive to all other areas. Overall, that was the only major cleaning fluke. One other suggestion would be for the owners to write up instructions for guests. It would be helpful to know where the outside trash is, what to do with the recycling, how to work TVs, kayaking instructions, etc. The owners were present when we arrived so they gave us a lot of information verbally that could be helpful if written down for guests (especially about the emergency bag for kayaking). Although the other areas are mentioned, they are definitively not deal breakers on this house. Great views, updates, and decor.
Definitely a place for those looking for a quiet secluded vacation. You can basically get all you need within walking distance. The town is very cute and has some great restaurants. If you are looking for a busy tourist location in Maine this is not it, this will be for those looking for a restful experience where you can really see the fishing industry in action. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Hiked and kayaked all day, ate lobster all night...
Loved the town of Stonington. We are an active family of four and hiked and kayaked like crazy the week we were there. Other family members that were sharing the house are not active, so the were quickly bored with the limited shopping available. This is not a tourist-trap town, it is a working lobsterman and granite quarry town. The house was in a great location, we would stay here again!

Great location, clean and convenient mfortable!
We selected this Cottage as our home away from home to explore Deer Isle, and Acadia. It was a wonderful residence, overlooking the harbor. Beautiful sunsets and at night you could hear the fog horn in the distance, from the point. It is within walking distance from at least three local restaurants and an ice cream store, small park and coastal discovery wharf for the kids. They also enjoyed the kayaks in a small inlet behind the house that was out of the way of harbor traffic. The kitchen had everything you could need and the bedrooms and baths were very comfortable. It was nice also to have a washer and dryer so we could keep up with laundry. It is a quaint, period home with all modern conveniences. We would certainly stay again!
