About this cottage rental
Recently renovated, charming cottage. A sandy beach is right across the quiet street from the cottage. The sandy bottom goes way out in the shallow water--great for kids, playing and launching kayaks. The cottage looks west to the amazing sunsets. Mr./Ms. Blue Heron visits the beach regularly and the ospreys dive for breakfast for their babies. Watch the crabbing boats ply the waters offshore as you enjoy your morning coffee and the amazing sunsets in the evening from the living room, dining room, or lawn chairs.
Rock Hall, MD is a quaint fishing village on the upper Eastern Shore in Kent County. Rock Hall is on Southern Living's 2016 list of Best Small Town's of the South. Kent County is the least populated county in MD, so it is a true get-away. Only one blinking traffic light in Rock Hall. There are also many marinas (sailing and motor boats), about 8 at last count. A surprisingly wide choice of restaurants and entertainment (including live entertainment at the Mainstay & local restaurants) is available. Biking is great as the roads have wide, paved berms and wind throughout the rural, country-side. The Eastern Neck Island Wildlife Refuge is a short drive away and provides wonderful bird-watching, or go crabbing on the docks and bridges on the way. Kayaking, fishing and boating opportunities abound. Chestertown, home of Washington College, with its many restaurants, shops and activities is 10 miles away.
The cottage will be cleaned and disinfected in accordance with VRBO guidance between each guest.

House was great, fully stocked, clean, can't beat the views. Beach right across the street with safe swimming for littles. Property Manager was not very helpful checking in but other than that, we had an excellent time and highly recommend.

We had a great stay here - the house was just as described and was clean and comfortable. The view couldn’t be beat, and it was SO convenient to be able to just walk the kids back and forth across the street to the beach. The beach is clean and the water was clean and a comfortable temperature; the kids were happy to swim for a long time, and with minimal waves it was the perfect calm environment for them. Diane was friendly and very communicative. We look forward to staying again!

The cozy cottage is perfectly maintained and well equipped. The bay view is as advertised and lovely. The location in Rock Hall is ideal, quiet and convenient to everything. The property manager is responsive and informative.

This is our second time here. It's a cozy cottage with a million dollar view. Exceptionally clean, well decorated, we love it and our dog loves it. Everything is well thought out so all our needs are met. There isn't much in the off season, but that's what we like. No commercialism, but the grocery is great, a couple of restaurants, and Chestertown is a 15 minute drive.

Had a great stay. House was very clean, great location, well groomed yard enjoyed by pups, nice neighborhood, good wifi, good thermostat. Mattresses were all firm and supportive, 2 people w sciatica were comfortable on them. Great views, right across from beach, property as described.

Our stay at this clean and cozy cottage was very nice. We watched the waves from the comfy sofa, under a shade tree on the front lawn, and with our feet in the sand at the beach directly across the street. Everyone walking or riding bikes by us said hello - a very friendly neighborhood. Highly recommend!

We stayed for 3 nights with our dogs and it was perfect. Great mattresses and plenty PF towels, all the towels and beach view. We spent all day Sunday in the water and sand. Loved it!

This house was perfect for our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 small kids). The house was incredibly clean and in a cute neighborhood, great for taking walks (a really good restaurant is 2 blocks away). The town beach is right across the street - the water was shallow and gentle enough for the our little ones. The local restaurants were really good. We would definitely come back again!

The house was very clean, had a large back and front yard, and beach across the street was great for sitting, playing and watching beautiful sunsets. It was also walkable to muskrat alley (our favorite breakfast place), and other great restaurants. Such a cute place, would highly recommend to anyone staying in Rock Hall.

This home is a wonderful place to stay with a direct view of the Chesapeake Bay across the street and immediate access to the public beach to swim and/or sunbathe. The property is well maintained and has a very responsive staff to answer questions or provide help. It has very attractive decor, lots of information about the area, and all that's needed to live there comfortably..

We loved the property! It was a quaint cottage, right on the water! The cottage was so cute and could not have been cleaner. Everything was there that we needed, restaurants and stores were walk able, even though much wasn't open because it was the off-season. It lived up to every thing we thought and more!

This little house, right on the bay with a perfect view of the sunset, is a true gem. My husband and I were joined by our two young adult sons (25 and 23 years) and our 75lbs family dog. The house was very clean, nicely decorated and has all the amenities you need. It is a very nice location to get away from the city and go for nature walks and/or visit historic towns in the area. We strongly recommend this property.

Our host was very easy to work with and we felt right at home the minute we arrived. Her thoughtfulness was found in every room, if we reached for something it was right at hand. Everything was exceptionally clean! The beach house was the perfect place to enjoy a week by the bay!!

The cottage was super clean and cozy! We had amazing views of the bay. It was very peaceful sitting on the bay in the early morning drinking coffee and late in the evening watching the sunset. The cottage was equipped with everything that we need while on vacation. We look forward to returning soon!

The location cannot be beat. Walk out the front door and on to the beach. My 2 young children were able to swim safely and roam the beach easily. The house itself is in good condition. The property was clean. Air conditioning was quiet and efficient. Check in and check out were easy. It has a nice size yard, charcoal grill and beach chairs. We would stay at this property again.

We had returned to this cozy beach front cottage after our visit last year. It’s a small town with all the basic amenities and coffee shop. Our family enjoyed the bay view and playing on the beach. The cottage is just perfect with all the amenities. The view from the living area and the breakfast room is amazing!!

The house is perfectly located, very clean and well appointed. Rock Hall is quiet - good place to chill, kayak (among other things) and relax. The beach, just across the street was perfect.

Great Relaxing Vacation
My family, including dog, stayed for a week. Place was spotless. Rock Hall lives up to its slogan "Where nice people live". Everyone was super nice. Restaurants were great. And all stores are conveniently located. We'll be back!

Rock Hall is so nice. Friendly people and so relaxing. Off season so many places closed but still nice.
