About this apartment rental
The best amenity of this condo is location! Out the back door of the building and you are literally within steps to the Right of Way ski run or ZigZag hike/bike trail. This is a true ski-hike-bike-ride in/out property; no long stretches of trying to propel yourself along with your poles on an access trail like some advertised ski-in/ski-out properties!
The location means taking a break from the slopes or trails is super easy, to grab lunch, warm up, etc. No shuttles or long walks to get back to the place. You can kick your feet up after a solid session on the mountain, rest up, and then head out again. Everyone in the group can come and go at their own will and preference with this kind of convenience. From the balcony you can watch skiers, hikers and bikers move on by.
From the back door, it is an easy few minutes on your skis, board or bike, down to the base to catch the gondola, or an easy walk to base area shops and restaurants.
The condo has a full kitchen, cable tv, balcony facing the mountain, 2 bedrooms (one room with a king, one room with queen/twin bunks), sleeper sofa in living room, gas fireplace, wifi and all of the usual cooking and relaxing amenities needed for a comfortable stay in the mountains (coffee maker, board games, etc).
Building amenities include a hot tub, outdoor gas bonfire-style fireplace, and coin-op laundry facilities are located one floor below.
The summary: the location can't be beat. Storm Meadows East was one of the first complexes to be built on the ski mountain. As an older building, its units don't have some of the modern day luxuries or amenities of new condos (e.g., it has a shared washer/dryer), but the upshot is it provides a less expensive option to be right on the mountain -- other units with higher end finishes and amenities can cost upwards of twice the amount as this unit.
The condo has what you need, it's updated, and it's comfortable. If you're here mostly to spend some time outside, easy-going about an older building and need a simple, affordable place to sleep each night with tons of convenience to the mountain, this is the place. If you want a higher level of luxury or prefer something that feels being more spoiled or catered to, you probably want to check some other options.
I purchased the condo in Dec 2016, and have made a number of updates to bring it a little more into the current century. It's comfortable and cozy, and if you're imaginative enough, there's parts of the place that can be nostalgic, but keep in mind it is a building that is 50+ years old.
A partial list of other amenities for an enjoyable stay:
Board games
Cable TV in main room and master bedroom
Gas fireplace
Sofa sleeper
Linens
Partial list of kitchen amenities (beyond the usual dishes, pots/pans, utensils):
Coffee maker
Blender
Slow cooker
Food processor
Hand mixer
Recommendations for restaurants: Creekside and Wynonas for breakfast; Mahogany Ridge and Salt & Lime for happy hour; E3, The Laundry and Sweet Pea for dinner. The city bus service is free, as well as easy to figure out; the nearest stop is just a few minutes' walk.
Steamboat is a great mountain, and an even better town. Come visit!

This is a very comfortable space for a family- had everything we needed to a great trip. The beds were very comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. Ski in/ski out access is very convenient- if not skiing it is a little difficult to get to the base area when snow is on the ground. The owner is very responsive. Overall, great stay!

Location, location, location! Easy to get to and from the base of Steamboat Springs - whether driving, walking or skiing. Easy to access - parking is a breeze! The condo lockers, also a breeze! The washer/dryer, another breeze to get to!!! The accommodations were top notch! They have thought of everything!!! All the basic and upgraded kitchen supplies, the USB ports on several outlets throughout the condo, the ample supply of towels, linen, snuggle blankets, board games, puzzles, and SHELVING throughout the condo, and the vacuum (handy for kids)!! Super efficiently designed and well thought out for hosting. Loved the multiple thermostats for heaters, and the wonderful cozy fireplace, and the patio that included a grill! Loved the layout of the condo, the simple GREAT decor, and the ease of everything there - including the instructions for everything from driving TO the condo, to getting the keys, the parking passes, access to the lockers/washer/dryer/etc, and super convenient properly placed "menus" on how to operate remote controls for everything. Nothing was overwhelming. Although prepared for the trip, I LOVED the big Kirkland shampoo/conditioner/body washes placed in each bathroom, along with the very nice touch of lavender sprays. Again, the vanities and shelving and the AMPLE amount of hooks throughout all the rooms was amazing and SO WELL thought out and placed. Thank you so much for everything! We loved this place and cannot wait to return. HIGHLY recommend to all!

We've stayed in VRBOs a bunch, and this one ranks #1 across the board. Squeaky clean, comfortable King bed (we didn't use the other room with equally comfy-looking beds), a kitchen stocked with all the important things including spices, baking materials (not that we bake!), popcorn, hot cocoa, coffee, tea . . . even condiments in the full-size fridge! Couldn't be happier with these fabulous accommodations. Thank you for sharing your home with us!

We spent eleven nights at Brett's condo and had a wonderful time! We loved being trailside and skiing down to the two gondolas. The condo was comfortable, clean and well stocked with everything we needed, and the gas fireplace was a huge plus.
The two bathrooms had lots of plush towels, along with plenty of shampoo and conditioner. There were washers and dryers on the floor directly below the condo which we used a few times. Parking was easy, and the ski lockers were located on the same floor as the condo.
The location of the condo was really convenient for ski in/out, and it was a short walk down to the base for dinner. Brett was always responsive, and it was easy to get in touch with him.
We look forward to another stay in 2024!!

We stayed for five nights at Brett’s condo and it was amazing. The location cannot be beat. It’s a short walk to the base and it’s a true ski in/ski out. The ski trail to the base is right out the back door. The place was perfect for the four of us. Plenty of room, clean, very easy check in and the communication with the owner was great. Parking in the lot with the provided pass worked great. Shampoo and soaps were provided along with everything you could possibly need in the kitchen.
We used the shared washer and dryer a few times which was very easy to do. Everything was amazing! We would definitely come back!

The unit was pretty awesome and had all of the amenities we were looking for. It’s nice to ski in and out of your place and was very comfortable. The other couple we with was okay with the extra bedroom having bunk beds as I believe one was a queen, however please note the beds do not leave much room, but our friends never complained and loved the place as much as we did.
The hot tub is located in the connected building, and is a bit of a walk using stairs, but it was really nice as it’s partially covered from any elements giving you a private feeling when indulging. The kitchen is awesome for meal
Prepping and is very spacious for cooking. We were stoked that there was grill on our balcony, but please note is electric and cooks with infrared heat. I am only noting this, because it’s takes longer to heat up, so give it some time before placing your meats on it.. we are so happy with the unit and how everything was managed for us! Brett is very responsive and you can tell he put a lot of effort in creating this place to be a home away from home! Definitely, will be rebooking this unit in 2024, and so grateful it was exactly as advertised. Thank you Brett for a wonderful get away with our friends!

This condo was just perfect for my kids and I. It had everything we needed to have an amazing ski week. The location was easy to access the mountain and we could ski in and out. Check in/out was very easy. The layout of the condo was comfortable and we loved having two full bathrooms. I would definitely stay here again. The owner was wonderful to communicate with.

I don’t know where to start! The Whole New Years week was a Blast! Great Snow, VERY EASY ski in/ski out. The listing is Very Accurate, with a few extras(unless I missed them in the listing). Extras that I wasn’t expecting, hot chocolate/coffee(grinds or Keurig cups), Nice spice rack selection, dishwasher pods/dish soap/scrub pad, popcorn for days, etc…
Convenient locker for skis/poles/boards.
Nice entry area in the condo to sit and remove boots, jackets, helmets, with storage cubbies to put everything out of the way.
Cozy condo that over looks the Right-O-Way run and NEW Wild Blue Gondola.
It’s an easy, and beautiful, walk to the Steamboat Base(yes there’s a slight uphill walk back to the condo, but take your time to enjoy the scenery, plus it’s good exercise). It’s worth the short walk to TBar and Slopeside Grill(good food and atmosphere).
The condo is in the best part of the building because the only elevator is just outside the condo to get you to the “main floor/entry” on the 4th level.
The Hot Tub was very nice(and larger than average) to relax after skiing.
The large fire pit outside is nice that all you have to do is turn on a switch and it lights up. This made it easy for when the kids(and us) wanted to do some sledding, you can sit by the fire and watch everyone sled. You don’t have to build a fire each time. Yes, a real fire is nice, but when your tired from skiing all day, the last thing I felt like doing was building a fire outside…As you can see, I can’t say enough…..
Here’s probably the most important part!
Brett was very responsive to my questions leading up to our trip. He has it down pat as to the checkin process. Very easy! I reached out to him once, and he got right back to me! Even said I could call him if need be. We had an unfortunate incident with my daughter on the slopes at the end of our trip and I had a last minute Urgent need. Brett was so Grateful and Accommodating to my request, I can’t Thank Him Enough!
We hope to make it back to Steamboat, and if we do, we will certainly attempt to stay at Brett’s condo again!
Thanks for EVERYTHING Brett!

We had a wonderful time right off the ski runs! It was just a short walk up and down some stairs to get on/off the ski run, Right-o-Way. The ski lockers were very convenient, and parking was exceptional. We arrived on Christmas Day and stayed until 12/27. Never had a problem finding a spot in the private parking lot. A short walk gets you to the base, with plenty of food options if you’re not a skier/snowboarder. Rooms were extremely comfortable. The master bed was exceptionally comfortable. Highly recommend. Would definitely come back to this place!

My girl friend and I had a wonderful time in Steamboat staying at this property. Kitchen had everything we needed. Bathrooms stocked with great towels and toiletries - which was unexpected. Very updated - tons of drawers in master room for clothes and organizing things. Loved the location - perfect for our needs.

The condo was great and spacious, with a nice view of the resort. Check-in was seamless and quick, with the help of the host and instant replies.
The condo was well stocked with all the necessities you would expect to find, along with some nice extras.
The only downside we had was operating the thermostat. There were 3 different ones throughout the unit and it seemed none of them worked. We changed all of them to 60, as well as the remote which the guide mentioned, but the unit was always at 70 or above. Luckily the nights were cool so we had a window open which helped.
Overall, it was a great time and would happily stay again when in Steamboat.

Great Condo, Great Location
My wife and two small children rented this condo for spring break. It was perfect for us and the slope access can’t be beat. The condo was clean, nicely updated and well stocked with products unlike many rentals. Brett was very responsive to the few questions we had during our stay. We will definitely stay here again. Thanks, Brett!

Couldn't be happier - truly ski on, ski off
The photos with this listing don't do the unit justice. We had four adults and one child and this condo was perfect for our week-long vacation. Well stocked with any and all kitchen items, comfortable beds, and plenty of space, Brent's condo had everything we wanted. He is quick and easy to communicate with and we appreciated the very detailed PDF that he provided prior to our stay that outlined everything from how to get into the unit to the closest grocery stores etc. Our youngest member really appreciated the sled that was in the gear locker! Thanks for a great stay - the next time we are in Steamboat we will definitely stay here.

Lovely lazy girl’s trip!
My mother, daughters and I had an amazing time in Steamboat! The condo was incredibly accommodating and the decor is just lovely! We had a lovely Thanksgiving together. My only complaints were that the hot tub was under maintenance during the entirety of our stay, lifts were not yet open to the public and the snow blower right outside my window kept me awake on our last night there.

We loved our stay! The unit is very easy to access and is off of a run that any rider can handle. Brett was an excellent host. He answered all of my questions very quickly and accommodated all of my requests! The kitchen has a lot of equipment to make meals at home. We enjoyed using the blender for piña colada’s. The bathrooms were also stocked with soaps which was appreciated as well. More pillows would have been a nice to have, but we made it work with what was provided!
