About this house rental
This lovely oceanfront townhome located on Tybee Island's south end features panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and Little Tybee Island. While still maintaining its close proximity to all the islands wonderful eateries, shops and activities it has a feeling of isolation that promotes its tenants to sit back and relax on their vacation. Upstairs has new flooring, stairway and was freshly painted in December 2023 Downstairs and kitchen were renovated in December 2020 to add more luxury to your stay.
This 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is beautifully decorated and full of all the amenities that you would expect in a top notch rental.

The location was wonderful, and the views from the condo were beautiful. From here, everything rapidly goes downhill. Communication with the owner was abysmal as there was none prior to our arrival, and only one brief email about the front door lock code during our stay.
List of problems found with this rental are as follows:
*Cleanliness(big cockroaches, curtains stained, dirty furniture)
*Security(sliding door locks did not work properly, we had to store our valuables in the trunk of our car)
*Safety(several deck rails and outside table broken)
*Amenities(shower delivers only cold/lukewarm water, tub drains slowly, roof leaks down through ceiling in heavy rain, no beach towels provided, no beach decor inside, no welcome from the owners, I made several small repairs to kitchen utensils for my own purposes which should have been done as a part of general maintenance. The grills were too dirty and too in disrepair to be used. General upkeep of condo poor. We left the condo cleaner and better appointed then we found it.
Sadly, the only thing of abundance to be found in the rental beyond the view was the cost of renting it, which was infinitely more than the value we received.
We were greatly disappointed with the general mediocrity of the condo because it was meant to be a combined "wow" birthday/anniversary/family vacation gift to my wife at her favorite beach (Tybee). To be sure, we will visit Tybee again, but we will most definitely not stay here.

We had a great week at Beachy Keen! The location is perfect right across from beach access. Very quiet location yet walkable to all the restaurants/ bars. The kids brought scooters, skate boards/ blades and were able to utilize the parking area for the beach in the evenings. Would def recommend this spot and would stay again!

This property is absolutely disappointing. Apparently no one actually checks to see the shape of this place. Cobs webs hanging from the ceilings. Rusted ceiling vents with flaking paint. Bathroom walls with visible marks of something running down the walls that has dried. A trash can in the small bedroom that has some awful stains with no bag in it. Paint flaking on the walls in multiple places. Soap scum on the shower doors. Doors with all kinds of smudges and marks from years of use. Hair on the bathroom floors. Stained furniture. Floors covered in dust and sand. Does anyone actually clean in between uses? I know there is a significant cleaning fee so I would expect some basic cleaning. The medicine cabinet in the small bathroom is disgusting when I opened it.My wife and daughter and I were so disappointed. I can’t believe the pictures on the listing. Definitely not a true representation of the current status of the property. The curtains in the master bedroom have some dark nasty looking spots on them! Makes me wonder about the bedding. There is some nasty brown stain on the bed head board and wall of the master bedroom. To be honest I’m afraid to look closely at the bedding. I truly hope someone takes the time and effort to get the property back in shape. I communicated multiple times with the property owner and their response was we will send the cleaning crew and refund the cleaning fee and send clean towels. Please don’t waste your money on this property!

it was great except the shower upstairs had no hot water so we had to take cold showers, but otherwise, it was good.

I would highly recommend this location if you are looking for a laid-back beach experience. The property was awesome! We can’t wait to come back!

When we arrived, the property was ready and very inviting and spotlessly clean. The location was ideal - within walking distance of shops/food and, most importantly, only a few steps from the beach. My only regret is that we could not stay longer.

We loved the view, loved the deck, loved the location. We loved everything about this rental and look forward to going back someday. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Great kitchen. Walking distance to lots of restaurants and shops.

Great location, comfortable furnishings, and a great view; what else could you ask for? Our family (2 adults, 1 small child, and a grandmother) have stayed at multiple Tybee properties over the years, and this place provided all the necessities for a great stay. The property owner even stopped by to welcome us when he was in the area and saw us outside. We'll definitely be visiting again!

This was the perfect place for a small girls weekend. Property was clean, well stocked, great location, and within walking distance to beach, stores, restaurants, etc. Highly recommend and would stay here again.

We truly enjoyed our stay here. The house was fully equipped with all we needed to cook and relaxed there. Beautiful view of the beach from their porches. Comfortable beds for adults and for the kids. Loved it.

Lovely property; steps to the beach - sunrise in one direction, another few steps, watch the sunset. Great location, responsive hosts. Bed was comfortable; we had everything we needed and felt rejuvenated- we didn’t want to leave!

Being so close to the beach was wonderful and we enjoyed the beach views from the house and deck very much! Just a short walk to town and restaurants too! We had a glitch with VRBO not sending us the check-in instructions, but the host was very prompt in answering the phone and getting us the entry instructions.

We loved Beachy Keen! We were literally steps from the ocean, just a short walk to many delicious restaurants, shops, and ice cream parlors, and the house was just enough space for my husband & I and our four children. We loved the decks that overlooked the ocean and sat outside everyday. The house was very well stocked with everyday essentials and that made it so easy and relaxing for us. We had a minor problem with the house when we first arrived and the owners called back immediately and were very helpful and kind. Overall, this was a gorgeous and clean house to stay in at Tybee Island and was perfectly located for a wonderful beach trip! We will definitely be returning to Tybee Island and Beachy Keen!

Best ever trip to Tybee!!
The past week, June 11 to the 18th marks the fifth time we stayed at Beechy Keeen. The recent renovations to the kitchen and bathrooms which included new wood flooring, granite upgrades, as well as new cooking and eating utensils we're most appreciated. The property is only a few steps to the south beach the best location on the island for families and couples. Beach access is only a few steps away. I had a question or two for Dee and he responded immediately. Our only regret is not booking two weeks. Our son was able to Kayak to Little Tybee and being a SCAD graduate knew the area well.
I do not recall shedding tears when we left left a vacation home but this rear was different as we all shed tears of joy for the best time ever! Jim, Elaine, Nick and Stephanie

Truly the best time ever
Vacation to Tybee Island, we must have selected the best time to be here the beach wasn’t crowded and they were clean. The house was located close to the 19th entrance which made it very convenient. The house seemed recently updated. Plenty of room for our family. Will definitely book again next time we come back.

Springtime Get-away
We enjoyed a brief springtime get-away on Tybee Island. The location of the property is pretty good. The duplex is a bit further back from the beach than we anticipated, and the view from the main floor balcony is partially obstructed. However, there is an excellent view of beach/ocean from the balcony off the upstairs Master.
The property was nice enough, but it could have been cleaned better (owner is going to address with cleaning people). Kitchen and eating area were nicely updated and bedrooms and beds were comfortable. However, some parts of the duplex are starting to look a bit worn (balconies, floors and bathrooms).
FYI - no beach chairs or beach towels are provided by owner. We flew in from out of town and could not bring the chairs (it was hard enough to fit the beach towels in our suitcases). When I asked the owner about beach chairs, she told me that we could rent them locally (we decided to forego that added expense).
All in all, I think this property is a pretty good value for the price. Owner seems nice and ready to help with any problems you may encounter.

Great time & great view!
My husband and I stayed here for 5 days with my sister and 3 year old son. We had a great time with great views of the beach. The house was beautiful with a wonderful kitchen that was fully stocked! We enjoyed breakfasts and lunches on the back deck with the breeze and just a short walk to the beach. Highly recommend this gold mine of a place to stay!

Family Get-Away on Tybee Island
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit at Beachy Keen. We were pleasantly surprised with the amenities upon arrival.....paper towels/napkins/toilet paper/soap in every bathroom....the kitchen was a dream to work in. The picture from the sink was awesome. I would love to have that view back home in the mountains! The owners made this rental a home away from home. The only downside was the stairs - we were all "senior citizens" with some back issues, so we needed to be very careful with them. Other than that, it was a dream vacation. I also liked the fact that we were at the end of the island, so relaxation was great. Also, you could walk to restaurants/shopping downtown if you would desire. Kudos to the owners on a great place to visit!

A weekend to remember
One of our favorite beaches on the east coast. 19th street beach entrance is more secluded so you don’t have to deal with large crowds. It’s also so nice because during low tide there’s a sand bar that creates a perfect barrier from the waves making the best swimming area for young children. From the deck you can enjoy the smell, sound, and view of the ocean. Also walkable to anything you would want or need. What an amazing place!

Amazing Experience
Steps from the home we experienced daily sightings of dolphins, starfish, and sand dollars. Never been able to have these experiences anywhere else. The house is in a fantastic location. Steps from the beach with amazing views. Close to restaurants and pier. Enjoyable morning coffee sitting on the deck. Comfortable home with incredibly easy check in and out. Kitchen was well stocked, very easy to communicate with management. If you want an amazing experience give it a try.

We loved that it was not as congested as other beaches we have been to.
We we're pleased with the over all stay. Had a couple of hiccups but, things worked out fine. We would stay with them again. Had the best time and a great view. Relaxing and close to the shop's on the island. Thanks.

Amazing view and location
My wife and I decided to give Tybee Island a go for the first time and this is the place we decided would be our residence for our stay. We were extremely pleased with the home. It has been recently renovated to give it a more modern/up to date feel. The best part of this place is the view of the ocean from the Master and both balconies, along with the beach access right outside your door. If and or when we venture back to Tybee, we definitely plan on renting this place again.
