Thank you! We really enjoyed our stay. Check in and out was seamless. Instructions were well written and easy to follow. Property was exactly as pictured/described on website. We loved walking to all the restaurants!

The location, if you want to spend time at the harbor, is fantastic. Everything's walking distance. The appartment has lots of space and nice amenities, many of which are beautiful antiques. It reminded me of a nice BnB. The entry stairs, up a flight, are very steep and short. We had to turn our feet to go up and carrying a heavy suitcase up wasn't easy. The bedroom is up another flight of stairs. If you struggle with stairs, this isn't the place for you. But if you're okay with that and don't have significant luggage, it's a gorgeous place in a great location.

Perfect small apartment! Very clean and nicely furnished. Bed was very comfortable and upstairs portable AC unit was perfect to cool the space and provide white noise. Street noise was minimal at night during our stay. Location was great! Easy walk to harbor in Fells Point and numerous restaurants. Short Uber rides to local attractions. Highly recommend!

The place was lovely and a good location. The host was amazing! A small issue with the air conditioner. He responded immediately and had several options/solutions. We highly recommend and will use again!

This apartment was close to everything and such a cozy respite at the end of a busy cold day. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed having two bathrooms which was really unexpected for such a small space. The apartment gets great natural light and has a great layout. I especially loved the historical feel and eclectic furnishings that made it feel homey.

A perfect fit for me as a single traveler. You have to go through the side gate into a courtyard to get to this apartment. I found the extra gate to be a nice touch for security since I'm a female travelling alone. It had a nice little kitchen complete with a stove, oven, and microwave. The dining room and living room were cozy and comfortable. A washer and dryer were there for my convenience. The apartment, overall, had a unique character that I found to be pretty cool. The only cons I can think of are the steep staircases, all the noise from the road, and parking, if you're not used to city parking. It turned out to be a great stay and I would love to stay again!

Last Friday our daughter was married at the Baltimore Museum of Industry. The property on Fleet St. served as a meeting place due to its location. It was also large enough for the bride and bridesmaids to have their hair and makeup done and for all to dress.
The steep stairs dictated that running shoes would be worn to the venue. Lacking a dishwasher resulted in hand washing a number of dishes.
A good time was had by all and the property on Fleet Street served us well.

Survived the heat wave. Property is air conditioned which was not clear from the listing. Street parking is crowded but I was able to find space one block away.

This property is a gem. The location is perfect. You can walk to the pier. The apt is clean and more spacious than I expected. The staff at the bar next door was amazing. I highly recommend this property. I will definitely return.

Quick weekend away
We had a great weekend in Fells Point. The place is super clean and you get to experience life as a local. We had a problem w the check-in as we didn't get the email w the correct details but the owner quickly made it right and got is right in. No car was necessary for us as we walked mostly everywhere for the three days we were in town.

The cleanliness, location and friendliness of the manager is on point. I would definitely stay again and reccomend it to anyone.

location is everything!
We came with 2 specific purposes: 1. Attending an Orioles game (the Angels were in town) 2. Visiting friends in nearby Canton Square and in D.C. This location was perfect! The accommodations are lovely and you can't beat the location--walkable to anything and everything you want to do.
Pro tip: There's a washer/dryer in this unit. If you can't find detergent, go to the laundromat across the street and buy $1-$2 detergent from the vending machine--no packing dirty clothes!!
Recommendations: Best Day Ever Baltimore (all occasion store in Canton Square--walkable), Blue Moon Cafe--(get the Sweet Baby Jesus), Sip and Bite (Diner in between Fells & Canton--get the crab bene).

As advertised
Charming little place that we thoroughly enjoyed. Kitchen is well equipped. As many reviewers have noted, the steps are a bit daunting, but our ancient knees handled them well. We would stay here again.

Our host Jamie was most thoughtful and accommodating. A great communicator, she helped us every step of the way and had gifts for my sons upon arrival.

Great stay!
Would definitely stay again. Beautiful property with decent choices for restaurants nearby. It is right next to the road and can be loud at night so would be prepared if you are a light sleeper.

Fells Point visit
Topside is a great . This place is well put together unique structure in many ways. Very clean and well stocked with supplies.
Everything here is in walking distance or a quick Uber ride away for those who may not want to walk.
Highly recommended! A great experience for us. Would not hesitate to stay here in the future.

Great place
This was a clean and true to description place. Within walking distance to some great bars! The bed was soft and comfortable, but the upstairs was noisy due to traffic. Bring earplugs! The bar next door was not an issue, but the traffic and a little one next door was. (Not enough for me not to say to stay!) The air conditioning worked perfectly and the place stayed comfortable temp wise. The living area could use a little more light. We picked up an HDMI cord so we could plug our computer into the tv to watch movies. It would have been great if there was one already there. Everything was clean, towels provided, and there were left over soaps from prior people. There were even umbrellas provided that we used, (thank you!). The stairs are steep!... two sets, one to the main floor and one to the bedroom. Just know you wouldnt want to stay if you have knee issues. Parking can be challenging, but we managed to find spots and options are provided in instructions.
Overall, really a fantastic place to stay. Clean, most everything provided, and a very neat little apartment. Thanks!

This property was a wonderful find! Beautifully decorated, spacious and comfortable, it was the perfect homebase for us as we explored Fells Point and the Inner Harbor. Yes the entry steps are steep but the climb is worth it! The kitchen is nicely outfitted and has spices and condiments left by previous guests. There is a nice little dining nook but the living room is where you'll want to spend your time relaxing. It's spacious with high ceilings and floor to ceiling windows and the decor is great with a nod to yesteryear. As mentioned, the apartment is on a busy street so the sound of traffic is everpresent when you're in the bedroom. It became white noise quickly but bring some earplugs or earphones if that presents an issue for you. The owner, John, jumped right on the issue when the internet dropped one day and was quick with his communication and fix. We'll definitely look to stay here again when in Baltimore.

Enjoyed City Life
We felt immediately at home in this rental when we arrived. Great location, friendly people everywhere, and an added bonus of having a quiet neighborhood tavern next door. John was very responsive when contacted and everything was exactly as described.
We walked two blocks to the Inner Harbor and took water taxis most places. The rest we used Uber. Our best meals were in taverns and not your typical tourist restaurants.
We loved everything about our stay and will definitely stay here again next time in Baltimore!

Great Location to See the Sights!
We spent three nights in Fells Point and were able to see so many things in Baltimore from this property. Traveling by motorcycle, parking and things within walking distance were two top priorities. This property enabled us to park the bike right on the street outside the gate and walk to all of the popular destinations. The antique furnishings and modern amenities made it a great place to stay for us. Just be sure you can handle two sets of steep steps to access the living spaces. We would stay here again if we return to Baltimore!

Nice price but kind of loud
Ear plugs a must with this property due to traffic on that street but what can you expect with the great price. Steep steps but that's pretty common in Baltimore. Kitchen and living rooms nice set up, bed comfy. Needs to make it a little clearer on entry instructions as us travel weary folks need it real simple to get in especially late at night. Nearly a disaster when we could not reach the owner although it was pretty late. Hopefully owner can fix this simple problem.

Fun Times in the Fells Point Neighborhood
This small, but well appointed house is in a fun neighborhood. Street was very loud at night so bring ear plugs.

Lovely historical apartment
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend in 2016 and it was very nice! We would definitely stay here again. The location in Fells Point was nice and it was great to stay in an actual neighborhood instead of in the Inner Harbor. Everything was exactly how John described it. There was parking in the Bank of America parking lot as promised, and the entry into the gate was easy. It looked a little creepy at first going down an alley to reach the apartment, but there is a motion sensing light that lit the path.
There is a flight of stairs to climb immediately upon entering the apartment that is rather steep. Because of this, I would not recommend staying here to anyone with knee problems and I would not recommend large suitcases either. Once you reach the second floor a cute little kitchen and dinette are immediately to your left and there are dishes and a nice clean refrigerator and freezer combo. The living room is very nice and light and definitely has historic Baltimore charm.
The single bedroom is on the third floor which can be reached by another steep staircase. There is a closet, dresser, night stands, and an en suite bathroom. There is a standing AC unit to keep the upstairs cool as well and we did need to use that in September.
There was some ambient street noise at night, which is expected in a city on the weekend, but it wasn't bothersome. We also got a chance to meet the bar owner next door and she was very friendly. Overall, this is a great place for a couple to stay, but I wouldn't recommend it for a family with children or an older couple with health issues if they involve the joints. My husband and I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great location, John!

Adorable apartment in the heart of Fells Point. Quick walk to everything. We felt safe and cozy. The apartment has everything you would need for your stay. Communication wjth the owner was excellent. The only thing I would consider is that the stairs are narrow and steep. If you have mobility issues, you will need to be careful.

It reminded us of our place in Paris, but it was much more spacious!
From the time we easily accessed the code to enter the gate at the courtyard, until we reluctantly pulled the door closed to say good bye, we felt charmed and comforted in this delightful centrally located space! The steep narrow stairs reminded us of the climb to our "nest" in Paris. There was a vintage feel, over flowing with charming details - richly colored Burgundy velvet beaded pillows, intricacy pleated lamp shades, tassels, and a chandelier in the bathroom added to the charm. Everything was sparkling clean and the bed and roll out cot were comfortable. We were central to all the charms of Fells Point - only a couple of blocks from Broadway and the water taxi at the harbor. It was a delightful walk to hear friends play at Bertha's Mussels and the Cat's Eye Pub The kitchen was filled with everything we could possibly have needed, easily accessed.
If you are looking for a home away from home in Fells Point that is centrally located, charming, with a vintage feel and every need easily met, you will delighted with this sweet space!

Strategic location and complete facilities, with some drawbacks.
First, the great. This is one of the safest neighborhoods in Baltimore, and the unit is walking distance to many terrific shops and eateries, even the marina. Uber is easy to find for nighttime travel (when I’d recommend it) and also made for a 15- to 20-minute ride to Penn Station or to the Bolt Buses to NYC. Plus the unit itself is decorated in a uniquely tasteful way, including neat repurposing of vintage or original building materials.
The compact kitchen is pretty well-equipped (yes, dishes in the china cabinet are for use!), and the washer/dryer worked great. WiFi was speedy and solid.
The less-than-great included some of the same issues described by other reviewers. The location on a main street and the extremely thin floors and walls meant noticeable street noise even on the top floor, including from truck traffic that goes by periodically at all hours. Never heard much from the bar next door, but the first night of my stay, someone played action movies loudly, directly under the living room, until past 2am.
The steep stairs required to enter the unit and again to access the bedroom made getting things inside and between floors into a bit of a project. Also, a couple areas at the top floor were badly in need of a deep cleaning. I sent John photos of both so he could see why.
John’s approach to hospitality during my stay was puzzling. I mention it because it stood out among the 15 VRBO stays I’ve done in the last year. I received just one communication from him during my stay: a text to say that he'd left an ironing board at the bottom of the first set of those stairs inside the unit. This meant he’d had the door to the unit unlocked, but because I hadn't requested a board, it seemed especially odd---and a bit inconsiderate since that tiny foyer has little room for anything to sit inside it. Why not just mention that he’d like to bring something in, so he could have just arranged to bring it all the way up? But when I texted back to ask if he meant me to take it up the stairs for him, he replied only that he'd like that...and still never even said hello or asked how it was going. Off-putting and odd.
Nevertheless, when I left an important electronic item behind, John arranged for me to pick it up when I was back through town, over a week later, and that was a big help---it pushes my rating back up to four stars, especially assuming the upstairs has now gotten the thorough clean it needed.
