Nice property with beautiful views but very difficult to get to because it’s so high on the hill

This is an incredible property. The view is absolutely gorgeous and its very comfortable. With a golf cart it’s easy to get up and down the mountain. The owner is super responsive and kind. We would stay here again in a second!

Spectacular views!
The pictures of the property do not do this property justice. The views of the ocean from the main living space were spectacular! The drive up the hill is no joke; highly recommend a golf cart. However, I walked into town every morning, and walked back up the hill...it's totally doable if you walk/hike regularly. The openness of the property is really amazing...so many birds singing at different times of the day! It is the most beautiful property I've rented through VRBO.

Amazing views!
Casa Paz was wonderful! It was great to go into town during the day and come back to the serenity of the house in the evening. The sunsets were beautiful! The house is at the top of a very steep and winding hill so renting a golf cart was the way to go. The property manager, Cory, was wonderful to work with and answered any questions promptly. He even set up our transportation and golf cart rental. He recommended a great restaurant which turned out to be our favorite place to eat!
The house was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay at Casa Paz again!

Incredible location in paradise!
What and incredible property to spend a holiday in, we loved the indoor outdoor area! The view is unbelievable, the house is quiet, immaculate, and has everything you need for a quiet afternoon or an wild fiesta! We held a big birthday party with a live band and there was room for everyone to enjoy the space. The pool is refreshing and clean and the location is amazing, only 10-15 minutes to town if you take a golf cart. Highly recommended to get a golf cart as the hills are VERY steep!
Cory is a fantastic host who always replys quickly to our every need and Cecelia the housekeeper is very nice and efficient too.
Casa Paz is a 10 out of 10 - we will definitely be back! Sayulita is a perfect town

Casa Paz was absolutely magical!! The view is the best in all of Sayulita!
Everything about this place is amazing! It has plenty of space. We watched the whales while enjoying the pool. It’s not far from town and taxis are cheap to get back up. Cory is also very helpful!!

A very cool location with the nicest owner!
We really enjoyed staying at Cory´s property. I rarely had such a view in my life as the house is up the hill with direct view to the Pacific ocean. There are four bedrooms. One is an open room spectacular! The house has a small infinity pool and open dining room. there is lots of space. Just be aware you are up in the mountains so you have to drive up and down so make sure you have a (golf) car available. The owner Cory is very fast with replies if you need help. He was very kind in terms of check -in and out to us as we came in with an early flight but flight back was afternoon He also helped with every question we had! Thanks Cory you have a new friend in Germany! If I ever be in the region again I will surely stay at this place! It is amazing!

No better view in all of Sayulita!
We loved our stay in Sayulita! You will have everything you need for a relaxing vacation, at this villa. Staff was very friendly and helpful and I can’t say enough good things about Cory. We had a minor medical emergency late at night and Cory was available to help us figure out how to get to an urgent care facility.
As others have said, you will need a golf cart or other transportation to get back and forth to town and the beach. While it is less 5 minutes away, the villa sits on top of a very long, very steep hill. It’s also what makes for that amazing view!!

Incredible views! Beautiful space!
We couldn’t believe the beauty of this property when we walked in the door:). Breathtaking views in this casita style open home with unobstructed views of the ocean and shoreline below with a great little infinity pool for cooling off. The rooms on the main floor are large and can be closed off with glass doors if you prefer to run the air conditioning at night.
We preferred to listen to the waves which sound like you are right next to the beach even though you are perched high in the hill.
There are private bathrooms for 3 of the 4 rooms.
It is high on the hill and the roads are cobblestone. We had a Jeep that easily maneuvered the road to and from town with a garage to park. All the other smaller cars seem to have no issues either but the grade of the hills is intense! It is a steep hill so if you are up for the exercise it would be great, but consider your fitness level and the very hot weather before commuting to the walk home (lol especially if your having some tequilas while you are there!) Golf carts are a great idea:)
The town is lovely and lively. We were there during Easter Week and it was very busy. Lots of fun activities, music, great food!
If you prefer less action just walk down the beach 5 minutes and you will have your zen with less vendors wanting to walk out that far to sell. We bought our own beach umbrella and chairs although in the main beach area there are lots of people that will rent you them. There were some beach chairs in the garage when we went which was nice!
We travelled with 3 kids (11,8,3). They loved this property and so did we. The lovely house cleaner even watched our children one evening so we could have a nice dinner out without kids:)
Thank you for the beautiful memories Sayulita! And the hospitality, Cory:)

Casa de Paz was a wonderful place to gather with my adult children. Peaceful and close to town.
Our stay at Casa de Paz was wonderful. It was wonderful to walk out of the airport and be greeted by Ricardo. We stopped at the store and picked up most of the groceries we needed for the week. We had 2 golf carts waiting for us at the house which ended up being crucial to making our stay perfect. We loved the bedrooms upstairs and the bedrooms downstairs. The pool was wonderful. The outdoor living area was sensational. Cory was very responsive to all our needs and has a helpers who were there shortly after a concern was raised. I do think however that his guests should speak Spanish or have a good translating app. I was glad I have 2 daughters who could communicate with his workers.

Amazing property! Town has issues.
My wife and I stayed at Corey’s place Casa Paz the last week in February with my brother and his 2 teenage sons. This open concept home has magnificent views. The pictures don’t do it justice. The upstairs 2 bedrooms have king beds, fans A/C and en suite bathrooms. The lower 2 bedrooms share a bathroom so it is definitely better for a family. Be advised there are mosquito nets on 3 downstairs beds as there is no A/C and main master is open concept. Mosquitos. went much of an issue. We took Uber from puerto Vallarta and had a bit of trouble finding the place so be sure to get clear arrival directions. Now the bad: Sayulita is a cesspool. The ocean water quality is alarmingly high in fecal chloroform. December 2018 showed 183 ppm. US EPA guidelines is 35 max for safe swimming. This means the town is pumping raw sewage into ocean. It looks and smells like it in the main town beach. You can avoid the smell and maybe get cleaner swimming water by staying north of poo poo river (river that flows from fake water treatment plant). at beach closest too house. Seriously, 11 of 12 of our group from 2 different houses eating and drinking at different places were violently ill. There are signs posted of Noro virus around town. Sayulita is a health hazard. I have been sick with a stomach issue for over 2 weeks. All the tour operators in town have a printed “no refunds if sick” on vouchers. That says a lot. It is an epidemic. Talk to other visitors midweek or end of week and nearly all recounted their sickness stories. Be warned. This is a thing. I would never return to Sayluita. I am sure this was an amazing place 10 years ago but it’s infrastructure didn’t keep up with its growth. It’s a shame.

We ❤️ Casa la Paz
My friends and I had a great stay at casa la Paz. Cory was super friendly and helpful, and we appreciated all of his helpful tips and that he was able to coordinate airport pickup for our group.
The only things that would have made for a better stay would have been a functioning dishwasher (we were a group of 10 and did a lot of cooking at the house) and some additional/replacement hooks for hanging towels/swimsuits/etc.
As stated by other reviewers, the view is unbeatable. Just make sure you’ve got sturdy running shoes if you plan to walk up and down the hill (a delightful and intense workout).
Cheers!

We love Casa Paz!
This was our 2nd stay at Casa Paz, 3 years removed. The view upon entering Casa Paz is absolutely breathtaking. Very few Sayulita properties have a higher vantage point. It's wonderful having all you need in one convenient space. The kitchen is steps from the pool, affording guests the R&R they came for. Matching main floor bedrooms close completely to the outdoors, so very few bugs overnight. If you like sleeping outside, the master below is for you. We had 3 couples, with the 3rd splitting nights in downstairs master (open air), and in the adjacent room, which has a door. They preferred being inside due to bugs. The maid came almost daily, and Cory's local property manager was always around to help, if needed.
The hill does make it slightly difficult getting to the property, but a good golf cart does the trick. Sun doesn't hit the pool until after lunch, but it certainly wasn't a deal breaker for us.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, and will certainly be back.

Heaven on earth in the mountains of Sayulita
This place was amazing and perfect for our family getaway. Corey the owner answered all questions and was helpful when we were having WiFi issues. Marcaro the house helper was amazing and the best. It’s a little bit of a sketchy drive up the mountain to get to the house but the views are worth it. We will be back soon.
