This was a great house for two families who have vacationed together for years with now adult children. It’s a short walk to beach access or the marina. The kitchen was updated and spacious, easily accommodating meal prep for our large group. The pool seemed larger than the photos, and we enjoyed it at the end of the day. The minimalist decor was fine as we didn’t spend that much time in the house. The only downside is that the bedrooms are in need of new mattresses.

Family reunion
Please read this review before you book this property. I booked this property to bring the family together after almost 2 years of isolation due to the pandemic. Our expectations were high based on the pictures that were posted. We selected this home based on availability, location and the pictures that were posted. All were accurate except the pictures. That have to be several years old and did not reflect the true poor condition of the home and furnishings. I contacted management and they were very responsive but they are not responsible for the condition of the home, the homeowner is. I compliment the management for taking care of us all week and finding a fair resolution with the mgmt company and the homeowner for our inconveniences. I understand that new furniture and many repairs are planned but I would ask for "recent " pictures of the rooms to make sure you get a current and accurate view of what you are renting and all items, ceiling fans, remote controls etc. are working properly and the cleaning crew supervisor has personally checked off all the items they are responsible for prior to arriving.

Underwhelming & bleak
So many stairs with an strong damp, mildewy smell! Tried sprays, candles & cooking bacon to cover it up. Nothing worked.
Top floor houses the kitchen with a huge open room but only one long narrow table with cold metal chairs. No TV or sofa for chatting. Living room is on the middle floor. That has a TV and converstion pit BUT if you want something to eat or drink you have to go upstairs and there are alot of stairs. All the homes around here have the same stairs but the conversation area is usually around the kitchen. Not a floor away. Not doing that again. Everyone agreed there should be a sofa and soft chairs in the dining room as well as the table. Its large enough for both. We never used the living room. The nice deck off the kitchen/DR is pleasant but needs ceiling fans to keep the bugs away. It is a problem. The pool is small but refreshing. No one came during our week to clean it or check on the water. Looked like it needed some sprucing. Two gas grills but both were filthy. We didn't use them. Pictures of this house look alot better than the house itelf. Kitchen needs pans and flatware. No brooms & 1 of 2 vaccums didn't work. No carpet at all so it has a very 'cold' feel to it. The beds were odd. Some had mattresses that fit others didn't. One king ws so high even a 6'+ had issues getting in. Another had a headboard so high you couldn't sit with your back on a propped pillow The linens, well some had top sheets & some didn't. It rained all week while we were there and we were so uncomfortable that the first of our group left early on Thursday and another left early Friday. Nothing much to do in IoP when its raining day after day and being in a cold dank uncomfortable house didn't help. We were grateful to get home.

Great size, location, poor upkeep and maintenance
The house was very spacious and close to the beach. Upon arrival, freezer would not stay shut, freezer did not make ice or water, bedroom lights did not turn on (unbeknownst to us, some had remotes, but remotes were under beds), while others just didn’t work. Coffee maker not clean, decks filthy, vacuum cleaner full of dirt, no broom. Pool deck covered in red ants. Made sitting on pool deck impossible. Pool chairs dirty and broke. Two grills, one not working, one so dirty grease fire started upon igniting. Sparse furnishings in common areas. We loved Isle of Palms, but for the price point, this property should have been better maintained.

The location was ideal, just a short walk from the beach.

Excellent
This home was excellent -- close to the beach, lots of big rooms each with their own private baths, a great pool and backyard, and open space for everyone to hang out in the kitchen. We loved it.

The Perfect Property
Amazing property so close to tons of different activities. Plenty of space, bathrooms, rooms, etc. It was very clean as well. The only downside was we had to purchase our own beach towels, blankets, etc. as there was no beach materials provided (like chairs). Overall great stay, easy check in, clean, we had a blast.

Good
The house was great! We all had plenty of space and it was clean and ready for us! My only criticism is that the listing did say a heated pool, but when we arrived it was not hated and the pool guy stated it has been broken for a "long time". It was still fabulous and we would definitely stay here again.

Family reunion.
We had about 40 family members attending and rented 3 houses. Most of the activities were at a large 7000 square foot house so this property was only used for sleeping. It was clean and comfortable

Great location but....
Our family had a great week at this property being a block from the boardwalk to the beach. There are a few suggestions I would make: adding lamps to the bedrooms, need spoons in the kitchen, deck and pool furniture needs cleaning and adding seating and a TV in the kitchen area since that is where everyone seems to gather. On the plus side , the beds were comfy , the A/C temp was good, WiFi good and everyone having a private bath was nice.

Amazing Trip!
House was perfect for our group! Very clean, and great space for both kids and adult. Our only suggestions is to get a bigger fridge or a second one for that size of house and the number of people allowed.

Wonderful Clean House!
Great location to the beach. Very Very clean. Very comfortable bedrooms. The house is well kept!
The only minor thing I would recommend would be to figure out how to make the 2nd floor kitchen area more comfortable with a TV and some sofa seating. Everyone congregates in the kitchen not the first floor with all the bedrooms. Other than that we had a wonderful experience.

Poor Management
We received a call the morning of that we were unable to stay in this property due to renovations that had occurred that led to excessive mold within the property. While it was nice to be made aware of the situation, the timeliness was very poor and the problem should have been discovered ahead of time. We were then forced into diffierent accomadations which did not match the needs of our group and were offered very little compensation for having to readjust our entire stay within 4 hours of move-in.

Great Location
We rented this property for a bachelor party/golf trip. It was a great location and exactly what we were looking for. We were less than 2 miles from both of the Wild Dunes Courses and just a quick walk to the beach. The rooms were big and comfortable and everyone was happy with the choice!

Good location and plant damped by very weak WIFI
Pros: Description was accurate; good location; well equipped kitchen; good security; beach buggies and games were a bonus; garage door could be closed from outside, another bonus.
Cons: Internet access was basically useless via WIFI due to VERY slow internet. Many simple pages took a minute or more to load. Overall, house was clean with two glaring exceptions: (1) Porch was extremely dirty. We cleaned tables, chairs and railings (using bucket load of wipes) - nothing we could do about the floor. (2) Pool had not been vacuumed - large accumulation of debris and trash on pool bottom. Manager access was good, but response rate slow. Took 3 days to get pool vacuumed. Also took 3 days to get response to burned out light bulb (rooms have no lamps, so overhead bulb is only light; burned out overhead means no light in room).

Tried to make lemonade out of lemons
I did not intend to stay there. I hit a wrong Internet button while I was searching for something else and the company would not return my money—thousands of dollars, no small deal.
I initially contemplated bringing a family of homeless people there to have a nice place to stay for a few days but thought they’d keep my deposit—more money.
So I invited some family who could have never afforded it to stay. The place was not my style, plastic furniture, minimal landscaping, but the family enjoyed it—and treated the house nicely.

Outstanding property, very clean, affordable.
Outstanding place to stay with plenty of room, very clean, well maintained, easy walk to the beach. Everything we needed just like home. Great atmosphere for a family vacation. Would strongly recommend to anyone. Easy access to get to the house.

Easy
Overall a great place, that worked well for our extended family for our belated Thanksgiving gathering. We chose this house, since all bedrooms with queens or kings, and no single beds - no little kids now. Well stocked kitchen, easy for multiple cooks, easy spaces, easy walk to beach. Too cold to swim in early December, as we expected. Will likely return to this or a similar property. Specific little things - need reading/bedside lamps in bedrooms, would be helpful to have a bridge table or other smaller table to add to the dining table or for cards, puzzles, etc. But positives WAY outweighed these little things.

The perfect multi-generational vacation home!
Perfect house for our family vacation! One block from the beach, clean, well supplied enough to even have a catered dinner prepped at the house. We will be back!

Great house for large family
Large family reunion in IOP. This home had everything we needed including the direct beach access path, space, amenities, location. Too chilly for us to swim in backyard pool but great to lounge in private backyard. Will be our yearly gathering spot.

Wonderful!
Our family recently stayed at this very clean, spacious, conveniently located on a quiet side street, easy one block walk to the beach, well-maintained home in Isle of Palms, South Carolina for a family gathering. The house, with plenty of room, easily accommodated our three families with six adults and three children. Each family had its own bedroom(s) and private bathroom. There were porches on which we enjoyed morning coffee and breakfast, as well as many lunches and dinners. You could even hear the soft sound of the Atlantic Ocean! The salt water swimming pool in the private, fenced, backyard was marvelous. The kitchen was fully equipped to cook any type of meal, and the laundry room was a lifesaver. Local shopping, restaurants, as well as historic downtown Charleston are an easy drive away. If you are looking for a great vacation getaway, we highly recommend this property. We will visit again!
