The house was perfect for our family stay. The beach was just steps away and so we’re all the island activities. I can’t recommend this place enough and I can’t wait to come back.

The view was beautiful. We are from Washington state so we knew nothing about the area. I wish there had been some menus for local places or some info on what to do in the area. Also we had to buy everything, there were no beach towels or chairs. Not even one or two pods for laundry. We had to go to the store right away after a long travel day. We were only there a few days so we didn’t want to go through the hassle of renting a bunch of stuff.

We totally enjoyed our time at !0 Sand Dunes Lane. It was an exceptionally well maintained and equipped home and ocean views plus beach activities were amazing. We saw surfers, wind surfers, and enjoyed great meal both on and off the Island. Perfect location to recharge your life! We will be back next year.

We had a great stay. Great location on the beach, within walking distance of restaurants, groceries and other supplies. The fireworks on July 4th were fantastic. Our only disappointment was that a previous guest had left the gas grill in terrible condition. But overall, we enjoyed the house.

On arrival we were in awe of the amazing view that could be seen almost everywhere in the house. The home is clean and well-furnished with direct access to a very well-maintained path to the beach. We made great use of the outdoor shower and the ample seating both indoor and outdoor. The washer and dryer capacity were perfect for our family and the bedrooms very comfy and quiet. We even fit in a couple games of tennis during our stay in the community court and really loved that extra feature!

I enjoy the Spoleto Arts Festival each year and have stayed in this lovely property for the last two years. My adult children enjoy the beach and I enjoy sitting in the decks taking in the scenery. I did not reserve the house for next year just yet because I am not certain that my health will let me visit in 2024. My family and I enjoyed our week at #10 Sand Dune Lane. My children and their spouses are definitely beach people and they made the most of the opportunity. I, on the other hand, was there to enjoy the Spoleto Arts Festival. The beach house was very close to the connector; thus, an easy commute to Charleston. Perfect.

This property exceeded our expectations. The rooms are bigger than the on-line pictures look. The house is in a quiet neighborhood with fantastic beach access. The house was extremely clean and comfortable. The house and decks provide beautiful ocean views. Island Realty was very quick to respond (within an hour) when we found that the propane tank for the gas grill need to be replaced. The whole family had a wonderful vacation!

This lovely oceanfront home was a little paradise for our family, kids and grandkids. The views are spectacular and easy access to the beach. So so so relaxing and easy walking/biking distance to Harris Teeter and Simmons fish market. We walked to the Long Island Cafe and had a fabulous dinner. Grandkids loved the soft serve next door at the co-op!

Although the view was fantastic. The property could use some updating. It was a bit dirty when we arrived. The upstairs bedroom had a door that went out onto a porch was stuck closed. We called the maintenance dept and was told that it would be fixed that day. It was not, we had to call again and the following day they arrived. However once they unstuck the door, it would not now stay closed. As a result during a normal SC thunderstorm the door blew open (while we were out) and the bedroom carpet and bed was soaked. This lead to a very damp and musty environment upstairs and our clothes also became musty and damp. We called maintenance again and they came back and closed the door so it could not open. As a result we had to change our sleeping arrangements and we could not use the upstairs bedroom.

Fantastic view. Close to beach. Nice accommodations. Siding is coming off the the side of the house that faces the beach path. Multiple electrical outlets did not work and probably should be checked by an electrician.

Easy check in and quick response from Island Realty on maintenance issue. 20 minute drive to Shipyard Park in Mt. P for baseball tourney.

A peaceful place to view pelicans, doves, sailboats and cargo ships entering Charleston Harbor. A well appointed kitchen, laundry and bathrooms, and tennis court and pool access are included.

My husband and I and three of our children rented Sand Dune Lane 10 for 5 days. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. The home is well maintained and is at a great location. Although I wish the master were upstairs rather than on the first floor it's still a great place to stay. If we decide to do a repeat vacation on IOP we'll definitely consider staying here again. We are a blended family so there were plenty of bedroom options to give each child their own room. We didn't have a need to contact the office for any assistance however our check-in and check-out were quick and painless.

Not sure what the guy's problem was who went off on a tirade about this house. It's a great rental home. The two couches and two chairs in living room are new. Carpet looks great. I saw no mold so he's crazy or very, very picky. House was probably built in 1990's I'm guessing but everything was in tip top shape. Two nice palm trees provide some shade outside. Love the glass windows so even in the Spring or Winter you have great view of oceanfront! A block or two from Harris Teeter's. Sullivan's Island has a great quaint look with lots of good places to eat. It has a lot of older homes that have been restored so it is a 'lost in time' sort of sea village plus go by Ft. Moultrie to take a look a museum and the fort itself. Restaurant by Harris Teeter's and Coconut Joe's were great! I've stayed here twice. Don't know the owners but it's a very good vacation home. Unless you are a fussy old crankpot, you'll love it!!

Our family has rented ocean front properties for over 30 years and as a result have a very real expectation of what to expect for our dollar. I am writing this review for multiple reasons but the number one purpose is to voice my total disappointment in the property at 10 Sand Dunes Lane. When spending over $2500 a week, in the off season, I do not expect. Stained ceilings from a leaking roof. Not just a little staining but it covers the majority of the family room, down the walls, bubbled and pealing drywall and has been leaking so long that it has rotted one of the windows and broken the seal in the thermo pain, staining the window to the point you can't even see out of it. One area is very clearly "black" mold that is a health hazard that I am sure if inspected by the IOP Authorities would be enough, by itself, to shut down that house as a rental. The southern corner of the support beam on the balcony, off the second floor master bedroom is rotted to the point it is unsafe to to be on. That's an issue that is a danger that needs attention before someone is seriously injured. I very much appreciate "rental furniture", but the condition of the upholstered couches and chairs are "way" beyond their realistic life's expectancy. I'm not going to go on a rant about the mattresses but it goes without saying they were totally unacceptable. The plates and dishes were put away dirty. Glasses and coffee cups had lipstick on them. I appreciate how difficult carpets can also be in a rental, but the carpets in this place are atrocious!! I could go on with other structural issues, loose stair treads on the deck steps, loose and broke deck railings, etc, but I hope by now as a rental company that prides itself on quality product and service you get my point. This property, in its present state is not much more then a $1000 a week, "Spring Breakers", rental. As a local Realtor, I will have to re-think recommending any company that puts this quality on the market as a standard.

We had a great time. The house and location is wonderful. The only thing that needs improvement is New mattresses on the king beds, they were ok but time to be replaced. Also the mosquitoes were so bad you couldn't sit outside on the deck and enjoy the view. Not sure what could be done to eliminate that prob. Maybe have pest control to spray. Or screen in part of the porch.

So nice to be able to rent for less than a week, and to be in such proximity to everything the beach and town have to offer. Saw sea turtle release, went para sailing, shopped Charleston, and walked the few steps right to the ocean! Not sure what would have made it better.
