About this house rental

This Victorian style duplex was completely renovated only a few years ago.

This spacious, comfortable double townhouse is 2 units but with open pass through doors on both floors so its like 1 big house inside. It is fully furnished with a 2 big double parlor lounge areas downstairs, and 4 bedrooms upstairs with king size memory foam beds (or we can swap out for 1 or 2 kings for 2 or 4 twins) , back full baths have Jacuzzi tub/shower and en-suite master baths have huge double showers. On one side of the ground floor we can create a semi-private 5th sleeping area with a queen bed . Also downstairs there are 2 half baths for convenience , as well as 2 kitchens, 2 laundry rooms and a nice brick patio out back that has patio furniture and gas grill.

Great views from front and back 2nd floor decks. This is one of the largest properties in the neighborhood.

Relax in style at home, then walk to great shops and restaurants nearby or drive/ride15 minutes to the happening downtown areas.

Gary insisted on texting me on my cell phone instead of the VRBO messaging platform which I was uncomfortable with. He also insisted on meeting us in person to let us into the property. It came across distrustful, not the "warm New Orleans welcome" he played it off as. The house was fine! Mattresses were good, but there were not a lot of pillows available and some of the extra linens felt dirty. Like with any older home you can hear everything so keep that in mind if looking at this property! While the location was great being so close to our family reunion, I think for the cost- next time we're better off just finding a hotel.

We had an outstanding visit to New Orleans! The house was amazing for us! We had 4 couples as part of our group and everyone had their own bedroom. The location was convenient for everything we wanted to do.

If you want to be in a great location away from the NOLA tourist traps, this is the place for you. The house is spacious, within walking distance to all that Magazine St. has to offer including Guy’s Poboys! Our host met us at arrival and gave us a walkthru of the house, which is clean and well kept. He was communicative from the very beginning and really set the tone for our great stay. Highly recommend!!

This house was perfect for our family’s first trip to New Orleans. It is a beautiful/safe/quiet neighborhood and the house is situated perfectly to walk to Magazine street which is lined with great restaurants, shops, etc. The house is very spacious, with comfortable bed rooms and lots of baths, making it a great place for stays over a long period of time. Gary was easy to communicate with and an accommodating host. Highly recommended!

Several family members were staying at this property for a long weekend. There was plenty of space for us. We hosted a dinner party for 14 people and were happy to have the two kitchens to prepare. It would have been nice to have one large space to accommodate eating all together. The bathrooms are nice. Some of the furnishings could be spruced up.

I've stayed in numerous rentals in New Orleans over the years, and this is the best ever. It's extremely well-appointed, clean, convenient, comfortable, and the owner simply couldn't be more helpful and welcoming. Out of five stars, it has to be rated a six.
