About this house rental
This 1901 Victorian home was beautifully and lovingly remodeled with family and social time in mind, combining an open floorplan with the old world charm of exposed brick, original wood floors and the historical character of the house. The location is exceptional, just 4 blocks from Pearl Street and a 10-minute stroll from vibrant heart of downtown Boulder and Pearl Street shops, restaurants and coffee shops, a 10-minute walk to CU, and a 10-minute walk to mountain trials and hiking.
The house has a warm and inviting feeling throughout, fantastic lighting, 10 foot ceilings on the main floor, and vaulted ceilings upstairs. The main floor was designed for time together, with a kitchen that is open to the dining room, living room, and a breakfast nook. A family room is slightly set apart and offers an HD television and family board games. The spacious backyard features seasonal raspberries and apples, a large patio for outdoor meals, a gas grill, and sky chairs hung from apple trees. The covered front porch is a relaxing spot to sip a morning coffee or a cool drink in the afternoon. Hardwood floors, soapstone counters, handmade quilts and original artwork are throughout the house.
The house is perfect for those who want family and social time—but also those who are traveling together but want a bit more privacy. The upstairs floor has three bedrooms and two full baths. The upstairs master suite includes a king bed, a walk-in closet, and a very spacious tiled master bathroom with dual sinks, a glassed in stand-up shower for two people, and a separate soaking tub. A gas fireplace connects the master bedroom and master bathroom. The sunny second upstairs bedroom has a queen bed and a balcony with French doors that open to views of the Flatirons, as well as a desk for those who would like a place to work. The third upstairs bedroom also has a queen bed and vaulted ceilings. A whole-house evaporative cooler brings fresh, cool air to each of the three upstairs bedrooms on warmer evenings.
The included carpeted and sunny basement/lower level features 9’ ceilings and, in addition to simply providing additional space, is a great feature for guests such as two couples traveling together who value social time but also privacy. The basement features a large second family room with a sectional sofa and separate television, toys for children, and a treadmill for those rare rainy days; a bedroom with a queen bed; and bathroom with a tiled, glassed-in stand up shower.
Enjoy the historic homes, beautiful gardens, and large shade trees of the Whittier neighborhood. Our guest book includes practical information such as the nearest grocery store, plus fun things to do like trail maps, a public pool two blocks away, yoga studios, and directions to the beach at the Boulder Reservoir, to cool down the kids on hot days.
A Pack & Play (which can be used as a crib or set up with a baby bassinet) and high chair seat can be provided on request. Non-shedding dogs only may be considered but are subject to negotiation and may incur extra fees.

Only the second time we stayed in a VRBO house so I don't have a lot of experience with what to expect from them. This was a nice stay in a clean house in a quiet neighborhood. The only note I would have is that five of the seven people staying were in their early eighties. A handrail on the stairs leading up to the porch would have been most helpful. Also, there were two remotes for the TVs. It would have been nice to have information on the operation of the remotes. Neither of these detracted from our stay however.

My 3 sons and I stayed here for a quick 2 days and could not have been any happier with how clean and well appointed the home was. It was just perfect in all respects. I cannot wait to come back some day.

It was a bittersweet time for us as we were moving our son home after 5 years in beautiful Boulder. As excited as we are to have him home after college, we loved visiting Boulder as often as possible. My parents, son and I made the road trip from central Texas to a most welcoming, comfortable, spacious home in central Boulder. The kitchen was awesome - well-stocked, spacious and simply lovely - we spent a lot of time gathering around the kitchen bar area. The beds and bedding were perfect as was the great location. The backyard was so inviting, with colorful flowers and fruit trees throughout. We hope to get back to Boulder sometime in the future and when we do, we'd love to reserve the Mapleton home again!

My family booked this wonderful house for 5 nights. We cooked 4 of the evenings. The kitchen has everything, including spices and oil, which was so nice. The location is perfect, 2 blocks from Pearl Street. The beds were very comfortable and the big family table hosted many evenings of games. Would rent this beautiful house again!

This house, yard and neighborhood fit our family perfectly -room to spread out and then gather together. My granddaughter loved picking the ripe raspberries, enjoyable family walks, great yard for our 2 dogs and fun kitchen for us all to cook in- simply perfect.

We loved this quaint house which was walking distance to downtown Boulder. It was a perfect place for five retired teachers to hang out. With four bedrooms and three and a half baths, there was plenty of room. Everything was user friendly and the host provided excellent instructions and sightseeing tips.

My family and I rented this home for our family reunion and we could not have been happier with the accommodations. The house is both beautiful and extremely comfortable. The location is also wonderful! We walked to church and shopping while having driving access to the best restaurants in Boulder. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

We enjoyed our stay at this beautiful home. The home has great character and many areas for sitting and relaxing inside and out. Its location was excellent, an easy walk or drive to downtown Boulder for coffee or food. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook meals and more. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The only hitch was there is no air conditioner, and the swamp cooler was not working sufficiently to deal with the 90 degree days.

We needed a big house to accommodate six family members for a wedding in Boulder. I spent quite a lot of time looking at VRBO options. This turned out to be exactly what we needed. We had the two couples in the larger bedrooms (including a large and very comfortable master suite with en suite bath), and the two singles in the other two bedrooms. With three full baths and a half-bath on the main floor, it was very convenient. The large kitchen, pleasant yard, and ample space to spread out made it easy. The neighborhood is well-kept and pretty and the location can't be beat if you want easy, walkable access to downtown Boulder. The owners were quick, responsive, and helpful. I would absolutely rent this house again.

Boulder at its Best!
This home was the perfect place for our family vacation! The three story home had three comfortable living areas and a wonderful backyard for all our family and activities. There are lots of games in the cabinet to enjoy. The kitchen is fully outfitted with appliances and cookware to prepare a feast! And the grill is conveniently located by the outdoor table for 6. We loved the location - the house was was just a few blocks from Pearl Street and all the restaurants and stores. There is also a school playground two blocks from the house for the the little ones. All in all, we loved this house and would definitely go back!

Amazing Property...great walk to Pearl
Absolutely beautifully kept property and close to everything. We were attending our nephews graduation and had many family commitments. Coming back to a spacious, clean, thoughtful property was incredibly beneficial. Ineke was incredibly responsive and helpful with answers to questions. If you are looking for a perfect spot for a family/friend gathering and close to all that Boulder has to offer, this is your place. We will be back.

Fantastic Home near Pearl St.
I spent a long weekend here with my family - we loved the location; when we weren't lounging around the lovely kitchen/great room or patio, we spent a lot of time just walking around Pearl St. :) I highly recommend to anyone seeking a cozy sanctuary in Boulder. We would definitely stay again!

Cool place in Boulder
This place was lovely! First trip to Boulder for our family (checking out CU Boulder campus and doing some hiking, fishing, whitewater rafting) and it did not disappoint. The house is walking distance to Pearl Street for shopping and eating, but also close to hiking, close to the Boulder Creek Path, and close to many other places to shop. Plenty of space for myself, husband, and 2 teens. The downstairs (basement) was taken over by our teens - big TV, lots of games, dartboard, punching bag - they loved it down there. 4 full bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms (plus a half bath) meant everyone had their own space. Parking is restricted on this street, but with the provided parking permit we had no trouble - we were moving our car every day anyway to hike or do other things and there seemed to always be a spot open right in front of the house. Owners were amazing to work with - sent all check in info a week before arrival, let us know the house was ready for us earlier than expected (which unfortunately didn't help us as our flight into Boulder was delayed) and were very responsive when I sent a text with a question. This house would be great for families with young or old children, or several couples. Really enjoyed our time in Boulder and this house in particular!

We were in Boulder for a family wedding and the house was perfect. Very comfortable accommodations for 4 adults and 4 kids and plenty of room for the kids to run around in the backyard. A short walk to Pearl Street and close proximity to all of the wonders that Boulder has to offer. We’ll be back soon!

This was a very lovely place very close to downtown Boulder. Has a beautiful backyard and grill which we used a lot. Large family table for gathering, meals together and playing games. We thoroughly enjoyed the visit...My kids were refusing to leave!! The basic essentials supplied made this stay extra convenient and very comfortable. There are grocery stores and a Target very close by. We will be back!! Thanks so much for sharing your beautiful home.

Home away from home
This is the most wonderful home and I am so grateful that the owners have opened it up to share with visitors.
Our family was in Boulder for college graduation and having this house to gather at made the weekend all that more special. We did have snow so the fire place made it very cozy too.
We arrived to a wonderful welcome basket with a personal note and a few amenities in the fridge so we could have a treat before bed and coffee in the morning. The basket also had a very detailed sheet on the property, location, rules, how to use things...it was great!
The home itself was immaculate! There was not a speck of dirt to be seen. The recent remodel is right on trend and very tasteful.
The only problem I have in reviewing this location is that it was so wonderful it won't be available when I need it next time ;)
When you need a place to stay in Boulder you this is it!

The Perfect Boulder Home!
The owners were super responsive, helpful and friendly. The house is stunning with high end finishes throughout. Every detail for a guests stay is well thought out including toiletries, linens, and access to a washer and drier. There is plenty of space on the three charming and spotless floors. We thoroughly enjoyed chatting in front of the fireplace in the cozy family/tv room. The kitchen is a true cook's kitchen with high end appliances and very nice dishes. We actually chose to stay in and cook because the house is so wonderful! There is also a large, private beautifully landscaped backyard. We will not hesitate to come back hopefully sooner than later.
