About this house rental
Cozy, timber framed home surrounded by birch, cedar and pine trees. If you love the outdoors or just want to get away from it all, this is the place to consider. You'll enjoy having your early morning coffee outdoors and will probably be greeted by the neighborhood deer, wild turkeys, and other wildlife. There are outdoor chairs and tables for lounging/dining on any of the 3 decks/patio or gazebo area. There is a Weber gas grill on the front deck and the kitchen is a chef's delight. Ample dishes, cooking ware, spices, and appliances are here for your use.
The 40 private acres of old growth woods are a hiker’s delight. A rare find in northern Door County!
On those cool DoCo summer evenings gather by the fire pit to tell tall tales and sip hot chocolate/eat s’mores.
If you bring your dog we have a high tie zip-line so you can leash your dog up while still allowing them room to run around..
If the weather proves uncooperative you can enjoy the large stone fireplace in the main family room yet still see outside through the wall of windows. The lower level theatre room makes for a perfect movie day with the giant tv.
It’s an outdoor oasis, yet also extremely convenient to everything on the northern end of Door County. It’s within minutes of all the restaurants, libraries, beaches, state parks, theatres, art galleries, bike rental facilities, coffee shops and shopping.
This house has the perfect mix of everything. You have privacy, outdoor space and close proximity to all that Door County is known for.
Finally, at the end of your fun filled day you can hop into the whirlpool tub and soak the day away.

Had a great time in Door County. This home was perfect for our family vacation!

We enjoyed the beautiful house and yard during our visit. It was conveniently located close to Peninsula State Park, shops and restaurants. Would not recommend for young children as there are very high balconies for some of the bedrooms. We would definitely stay again.

Our family of 12 (ages 8 - 75) spent a week at this beautiful home in Fish Creek. The house was spacious with enough sleeping, eating and relaxing room for everyone. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything you could possibly want or need. There was ample bedding, pillows, blankets and more than enough towels and washcloths. The home has 2 kitchens which were both very well stocked with dishes, pots and pans, appliances, utensils, seasonings, etc... They have thought of everything. We even located a needle and thread for an emergency stuffed animal repair. There are 3 outside decks and a beautiful brick patio with a fire pit. There is also an enclosed gazebo with a gas fireplace. The yard is beautifully landscaped with many flowers and plants and surrounded by woods. We enjoyed the quiet singing of the birds, the wind through the trees and even got to see 3 deer on the property. It is a quiet, peaceful retreat from all of the hustle and bustle of Door County but mere minutes from all of the action and an easy drive to just about anywhere in the county. We would definitely return. I highly recommend this home to anyone considering a stay in Door County.

This is a great property for a larger group. There is plenty of separation of spaces, as well as nice open areas for gathering. Perfect for multi generation family gathering.

This is an amazing house! Beautiful and spacious with plenty of room for large family gatherings. Beautifully appointed and maintained. The large kitchen, dining and living areas are perfect for inviting guests to celebrate whatever occasion there is. Patios, decks and the gazebo are perfect for outside gatherings as well. There's a gas fireplace in the gazebo and fire pit outside to allow for parties in cooler weather. It is recommended to be prepared for using a "hot spot" if wifi is essential due to it being a little unpredictable but it is understandable considering the secluded location. Love how central it is to get into the towns along the coast though. We will be back if we need to stay in Door county again.

The Property was perfect for our group! We especially liked the convenience of the downstairs kitchen, bonfire, and gazebo. It was also a good central location for everything we wanted to do in Door County.

House accommodated our larger group well. It was very clean when we arrived and had enough space that everyone felt comfortable. Home is nice. Be aware that there are two rooms with king beds and private baths. It's a log cabin construction so the remainder of the sleeping areas were open to the living space. We used fans to cut the noise so it wasn't a problem for us.

This place is very high-quality and it’s set up in materials. Great design. Gazebo was fantastic. Just really a great place. Only thing I would change be to have a shower instead of just a tub in the master bedroom. Even though the master bedroom is really nice. That just leaves two Showers for your entire group. There was eight of us and we had plenty of space and had a wonderful time.

It was the perfect place to get my family together & enjoy our time together. If needed we could also go to different areas of the home to do “our own thing”. The only draw back for me personally was the number of steps as I have a bad back.

Amazing Place!
We booked this property for the whole wedding party for a wedding we attended over the weekend! It was amazing! We were able to grill out for an even larger group who weren’t all staying, and overall had an amazing stay! Would recommend for people with a large group, there are multiple amenities for everyone to be able to use. 10/10 would stay here again if we were ever back in the area :)

Great long weekend property
My whole family got together to celebrate my Dad's 90th birthday at this awesome property. The layout allowed us plenty of space to gather for meals and socializing as well as space for downtime and privacy. The property is just a mile from Fish Creek yet set back from the road for privacy. Make sure you bring bug spray because there a lot of mosquitoes. We enjoyed going to Peninsula State Park (entrance just over a mile away), a fish bowl at Pelletier's, the Ridges in Bailey's Harbor, and the Fyr Bal celebration in Ephriam (all easy drives). Having two refrigerators was helpful to store food and beverages for the long weekend. Highly recommended for a special family gathering.

Family birthday celebration
House was beautiful and we had everything we could have needed. The listing is a bit misleading in that 3 of the bedrooms are loft style and open to the home below. These rooms also all had low beams overhead that were somewhat hazardous. This caused a bit of issue with the adults using those rooms.

Door County Stay
The property was great for a group of friends. There was enough space for everyone and the grill, fire pit and gazebo was so much fun for hanging out.

Good location. Unusual layout.
This property is very close to the beach and restaurants. Upon entering the property there is a smell of stale smoke. The upstairs sleeping accommodations are open to the downstairs. This lack of privacy might bother some. Also, it would be more straightforward to include the sizable fee for linens and towels in the original list of the fees rather than having guests pay another fee after the first and second VRBO payments are already made.

Door County hideaway
This property was absolutely amazing. This is our first experience with Vrbo, and we can't wait to book with them again! The home was exceptionally clean and well-appointed, the decor was beautiful, and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. There were nine of us, and we would recommend this property to anyone with no hesitation whatsoever!!

Just Bad Luck ?
Beautiful house & property, well located for the area. In our 4 nights there we lost all water (part failure in pump compression system) and I had to find a plumber myself after working with the owner who's 3+ hours away. Same night the stove quit working. Next day the handy man came and fixed that ( a recurring problem with it). The last night we lost hot water and discovered somehow the tank got turned off so we addressed that. Would be very helpful for guests to have contact numbers for key service providers in the area since owners are so distant.

Thank you!

Family Get Together
The house was large and had plenty of room for us. It also is laid out so that people could get away from the group if they wanted to. The property is beautiful and it was so quiet! Very close to Fish Creek so it wasn't a long drive into town. Everyone enjoyed our time together.

Great goodbye to 2020
Beautiful and spacious. The photos are great and the house is even better. The property was spectacular, especially with the fresh coating of snow. Great isolated location. Well stocked. Lofted rooms worked well for our family/ group of 7. 10 or even more can comfortably stay. Great dining space. Might bring some extra towels. It was a wonderful way to transition to a new and hopefully better year.

The place is beautiful! That's a fact! However it really wasn't worth the high price we paid. The owners had told us we needed to pay if we wanted to use their bedding as they don't provider it otherwise. We chose not to pay and we'd just bring our own. When we got there, bedding was on the bed, however there were no towels in the bathroom. So we came with bedding aplenty but then had to go out and buy bath towels to shower. They promised a kitchen full of everything we'd need and they did have plenty of dishes however there were about 4 water glasses or normal sized cups and they were just mismatched. They had a spice rack with mostly useless spices and we had to go buy everything we needed to make breakfast and dinner. They messaged me prior to my arrival telling me the big fireplace was broken. When i told them that was updating to me as it's a main feature of the cabin they ignored my messages. They have a ton of rules you have to follow our you don't get the security deposit back. Half the windows don't have screens so we couldn't open many windows to get that cool fall feeling. There were a few closets and cabinets around that were all filled with random junk which have it a very cluttered/untidy feel. Aside from all that there were random holes in the walls for like outlets and stuff and tiles missing the ceiling of the basements. Overall i would not recommend this planet for the price they have it at. The location was nice, but just go to a hotel instead.

Small Issues
The property was nice and very private. Some of the issues: no drinking glasses, no dish towels, no screens on the main floor windows, the property holds 10 people yet there were only 6 places at the main table and no where we could all sit and talk as there were not enough couches or chairs to accommodate 10 people, TV did not work on the main floor. Overall, was a nice unit but attention to details is needed.
