Great location, which is several blocks from Laneda and a block ish up from the stunning beach. Nestled amongst a grove of trees, this two story cabin is very ‘rustic’ and probably hasn’t been updated since it was built which we’re guessing is the 70’s. It does have a gorgeous view of the ocean from part of deck and we felt we were definitely in nature, especially when we saw a small family of deer casually walk by one morning. Lovely. Over all, this place has seen better days and could definitely use a makeover, especially starting with that fidgety front door lock to get in. Having said that it was clean, the stove worked (but no toaster) the shower was fine, bed comfy enough and location good. We had a lovely time…but really hope this place gets some much needed TLC soon. And although we don’t actually talk to anyone from Vacasa, they were prompt to welcome us with a text and within reach at all times.

Great location with a fantastic deck.

Proximity to the beach.

The kitchen is TINY and most of the furniture (especially the outside furniture) is old & worn. It's a good place for a couple, for a weekend. But, I can't see a family being comfortable for a week.

The things I really appreciated was the fantastic deck, its size , it faced the water it had no openings to come and go other than from the living room which made it very safe for dogs and children.liked the screen door on the slider, the location is excellent near the beach, love all the tv options, the kitchen was fairly well stocked with dishes and utensils the bed was comfortable, really appreciated that it is pet friendly
The dwelling could really use a critical eye as to what makes a guest feel comfortable and want to stay longer

Beautiful weekend on the Oregon Coast. quaint rustic, cabin feel getaway. 2 houses away from beach.

Easy walk to the beach, the shops & restaurants. The little brown house offers a mellow, low key 1970s vibe. I highly recommend & will stay again.

The layout, location and offerings are great, especially for a small family.
It is not modern in any way, so if you are looking for a dog friendly and simple place to hang out without wanting to worry about messing anything up, this is perfect.
If you want crisp, modern, or fancy, this isn’t it.
We slept well, the dog was relaxed, we were able to do laundry and walk to the beach easily and into town via a lovely 5-10 minute stroll.

Our family of 5 and little dog loved being at the cute and cozy beach house right there by the ocean! The big outdoor balcony deck was great for expanded space and ocean viewing, eating with the fam and sunning. Nice to have two levels with the bedrooms and bathroom downstairs and the rest of the living space on upper level with an awesome lil wood stove and lots of windows. Not fancy and modern, but a lovely space that is functional and comfortable with everything one would need in a home-away-from-home vacay stay right close to the beach with the sound of the ocean and a breeze in the trees. The family would love to come back!

We love this place, it was our second time there and it was perfect again. Great deck for sunny morning coffee and afternoon relaxing. The house is one block from the beach, which is amazing. So cozy and cute, we will definitely be back!

The location is perfect. The unit is decrepit and badly in need of updating and repair. The smell was awful the locks weren't functioning and linens were like something reminiscent of a Boy Scout camp. The people seem to be very nice but didn't offer a rebate after all the issues we encountered from not being able to open the door to having stuffy and smelly air. The windows didn't open in the bedroom and some of the decorations were broken and furnishings were dated to the extent we couldn't use.

This little place was comfortable, quiet and in a great location. It was well appointed. I had a huge problem working the door lock and Vacasa was very responsive. Also, the shower did not feel safe. The floor was slippery and there was nothing to hang onto. With the exception of the shower, the place was clean. Most of the furniture looked like it was picked up off the street, but comfortable.

We loved out stay at this property. We were out with family and only used this place to sleep and shower. The house is small but sweet. It hasn't been updated in decades. Beds are comfortable. Close to the beach and town. We would stay here again for sure.

This is my second time at the house, I love the house. My only suggestion is house keeping checks the dryer lint catcher. It was stuffed with lint. I will definitely stay here again.

The place is a tiny box. Full of goodwill furniture, walls are paper thin. We hung out at the beach which is a block away. The place works. Kinda pricy considering, but that’s the Oregon coast nowadays. Nothing fancy, but it works and was clean.

Charming little home and what a great location. Just a block from the beach. The ocean can be viewed from the main area and deck. The stars at night were beautiful.

I left before my first 24 hours was up and didn’t go back. I was supposed to stay almost a week. The air quality is a smokers dream and a non- smokers nightmare. The heater in the upstairs barely works and —snow and freezing temps were eminent. It’s grungy and grimy with a level of dirt from many years gone by.

Great house. Small but clean and cute. We had a great timen

The home is a block from the beach and a few from the main area for food and shopping, great for walking. The home itself is older and could use some easy updates to make it a bit more comfortable. Screen door needs to be fixed. The glass is separating from the wood making for a precarious entrance and exit, we informed Vacasa about this. Beds aren't overly comfortable and the furniture is a bit large for the size of the place. It's nice that they allow dogs which may contribute to the older feel to the home.
Over all, a good spot for beach access but not the best place to relax in due to the size and clutter. Especially if you have more than 2 adults,

This house is definitely humble but it is priced accordingly for Manzanita and has a convenient location, nice deck and enough room for our family, so we have come twice. This time we noticed several shortcomings in the kitchen like others have mentioned, including not enough dishes for the maximum 6 people or basic pieces like a bowl large enough for a salad, and the wifi didn't work until we restarted the router. Pretty sure the queen bed is actually a double bed, though it was comfortable, and be warned the bunk beds have pretty low weight limits posted which make them unusable for many adults.

Great location in town and close to the beach. There were a few issues with broken utensils, missing silverware, and some cracked plates that could be easily fixed. Additionally, I would recommend leaving tenants a dustpan. It would have been nice to have, so that we could discard the sand from the entry way. We did have a broom.

This house is VERY small, don't let the pics fool you. The kitchen is so tiny its impossible for more than 1 person to cook or be in there at a time. The fridge is in SUCH an awkward spot. There were just 2 of us in the house and I felt that was enough. I dont know how people would do it with 4 and a couple of kiddos. Especially on the days its raining and youre all in the house most of the time. There is just no way. The furniture is all pretty old, the bed is small, and the bunk beds have a weight limit. The toilet is about a foot off of the ground, bathroom counter so short. I wanted to grill outside one day but the grill looks like its 100 years old so we didnt. Just couldn't really get comfy at this place. Have to go upstairs for most things, so know that in advance if stairs are an issue. I would highly suggest maybe an ottoman, even a storage ottoman with some blankets upstairs with the couch, and a full sized over the door mirror on one of the doors. The location however, was wonderful, short walk to the beach, you can see a little bit of water, and hear the ocean. For as much as people pay on YOUR home, I would think some updates would be fairly simple. It would make such a difference.

We had a great time, relaxing, enjoyed the ocean view and a time away from the rush of everyday life, it was a nice house.

House was perfect for our little family. 2 blocks from the beach, clean, and quiet neighborhood. I will stay again if I come to Manzanita.

The place is a little basic (no closets, very tiny kitchen ), but it was fine for three adults., and a great location and deck. My only real complaint is that two of the beds are bunk beds, and it wasn’t until she was getting in bed that my daughter noticed the weight limits on the beds (200 lbs. on the bottom, 150 lbs on top). This meant she had to sleep on the couch in the living room, so I was thankful it was only 3 of us. Just be aware if anyone in your party weighs more that 200 lbs.

Property is old and tired. Electrical needs total redo as plug-ins are Warren out.
Coffee pots base doesn’t work. Dinning room chairs are falling apart. As is the patio furniture. But the beach was incredible.

We loved this cabin one block from the beach and walking distance into town. It was perfect for us and our dog.
4.0 / 10.0
Pro: One block from beach, ocean view, and a short walk to the main street (Laneda) for markets, restaurants, shops.
Plenty of towels.
Con: House was very tired. Furnishings for the most part were very shop worn. Another reviewer said that they looked like they came from Goodwill. That was being generous. Most looked as if they were curbside cast-offs that the owners found.
This house is VERY small. No closets, just hooks on walls to hang things. There was a washer/dryer combo (fairly new), but they failed to provide any laundry detergent, although they requested that the renter start a wash on the way out. We provided some laundry soap and did several loads. There was also no broom, mop, or vacuum. While they did provide an ironing board, there was no iron.
The kitchen is very small and not well equipped. The stove is at least 20 years old( Montgomery Ward went out of business in 2001.) Where do they get off providing a total of three knives, a few forks and spoons. The house can supposedly sleep up to 6; however, there are four somewhat rickety chairs at the dining table. There is a good sofa(bed). The lamps were very tired with somewhat beat-up shades.
It needs a fresh coat of paint. The deck while large is very weather beaten, as is all the outside furniture. We were going to try to use the gas grill, but the rusted over propane tank was a discouraging factor.
The guest book was an old beat-up binder with torn plastic inserts. The menus were a couple of years old and some were stained. There
was no information provided for using the wood stove.
In summary, the location was great; the condition of the house was disappointing. If you're going to run a business, put a little energy into maintaining the place.
