This was our fourth stay at Coconut Bay (CB) and third in this unit, which means we like it here. There's excellent shore diving at CB with several other shore diving spots nearby. Great location for turtles. Duncan the property manager keeps fresh tanks ready and other gear that is needed. The unit is a good size for 4 adults with plenty of room, nicely decorated and well maintained. The owner was very responsive and provided a detailed summary of helpful info for the condo and navigating the island, with suggestions for restaurants and activities. Our family are animal lovers so we enjoyed the visits from the friendly CB "house" cat that we named "Callie". Nearby Macabuca (very short walk) is a great place to combine diving with good food, beverages, and open-air casual atmosphere. Also a good spot for a night dive. Vivo is another great nearby restaurant with an interesting menu, which my vegan wife loves. There is also a dive shop next door to combine diving and eating. Vivo and Macabuca are both great places to unwind at the end of a day and watch the sunset. One notable observation is the abundance of new construction in the area, which is making CB and the surrounding northwestern area of the island less "out of the way" than when we first dove this area back in 2016. But this is still one of our favorite dive vacation spots and we will return.

The condo was nice, and the location was great next to the Macabuca Tiki Bar (awesome location) and In-Depth dive shop. You can also walk to the turtle and dolphin center. The pool was nice but warm water in early August. Did not dive at Condo due to currents. Good location with car as close to 7-mile beach.

This is a nice part of the island if you are looking for a quiet peaceful place. The condo complex is very well maintained and kept clean. The condo too was clean and well maintained. A few small things need to be addressed but all in all a very nice place to stay.

Family and friends spent a week at Coconut Bay Condo 101. There were five in our group, but the condo had beds and room for a larger group. The kitchen had all the essential cooking utensils, pots, pans, and dinnerware. The property is attractively landscaped, clean, and well maintained. The pool in our section of the property was also clean and had the perfect water temperature (in my opinion). Everyone in our group was a diver, so the dunk tank and outdoor showers were appreciated. There was sufficient area on the patio at the condo for hanging dive gear to dry.
The night watchman, Velanda, is very friendly and we felt very safe with him on the property.
We had only two suggestions for improvement of the property:
1) Some way to hang gear (hooks? rails?) in the area next to the dunk tank. We had to place our newly rinsed gear on top of the air tanks in order to let them drip/drain until we'd finished rinsing all our gear.
2) Having a ceiling fan in the patio area would help with circulation for the patio and might help blow some of the mosquitos away. (There were lots of mosquitos on the patio both early in the morning and in the evening.)

The condo is well appointed and has everything you need. The location is wonderful - far enough from all of the crowds yet convenient to get to all of the major attractions. And the owner Ed went above and beyond to ensure all of our questions were answered and provided information/recommendations to make sure we had a fantastic stay. Book and you will not be disappointed.

The snorkeling is just steps away and the front pool with a water view was beautiful. We also enjoyed the short walk to Macabuca restaurant. The condo was nice but the beds are definitely on the firm side.

We came to dive and were able to the first 2 days, as well as the last day. The diving is top notch! We stayed during the Nor’easter in February. The storm came half-way through our stay. Ed was a great host and checked in us. As well as addressing any concerns we had. We hope the Cracked Conch and Macabucas are back up and running quickly.

The host was informative, the listing was accurate, comfortable accommodations, and neighbors were nice. Nice attractions and restaurant nearby.

Ed is a great host. Property manger, Duncan, is the best. We loved the end unit with all the light from the windows. Unit was plenty big for 4 adults and had everything we needed. Grounds are very nice. Always enjoy going to watch the sunsets every night. We’ll be back.

We’ve stayed at various properties in Coconut Bay over the years and you can’t beat it. Love the West Bay Area— convenient to restaurants but quieter than Seven Mike Beach. Love the complex with the pools, the beach diving access and access to Macabuca. The condo is roomy with lots of space for a family to comfortably stay. The kitchen amenities were solid for simple meals. There were some pool floats available and beach towels. I also appreciate having the back porch to dry gear and laundry to enable lighter packing. Checkin and out were easy. We look forward to return vacations to Coconut Bay!

Check in and check out could not have been easier. Good idea to have a car if staying here, lots of awesome places on the island to visit.
Great location if you scuba dive. Can grab tanks and go right from the property. Within a mile there are several other dive sites to visit. Ed was a pleasure to deal with. House was perfect for what we needed.

West Bay is our favorite location on Grand Cayman. Shore diving with tanks and weights are available on the property or a very short drive away at Lighthouse or Macabuca. Macabuca is also one of our favorite places to eat on Grand Cayman. Being able to walk to the beach grill in less than 5 minute can't be beat.
The complex is a mix of resident and rental properties. It is a quiet place to stay. There are two pools on the property. Our favorite is the pool overlooking the ocean. The grounds are very tropical and well maintained.
Ed's condo had a great AC to keep us cool! The unit is comfortable with everything you need for an enjoyable stay in Grand Cayman. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking. The refrigerator ice maker got a good workout! The hot water was plentiful so we could shower without waiting between people. These condos were built about 2002 so are a bit older and not as luxurious of some on Grand Cayman but the cost and location make them an excellent choice. The condo was very clean.
The property manager. Duncan also operates the dive operation on location took care of all our requests before we even arrived. The owner, Ed, responded quickly to my questions. The only issue we had was a smoke detector with a low battery warning late at night. We reported it to Ed and Duncan and the battery was replaced the next day. We will be looking forward to our next stay at our favorite location in West Bay!

This was a very nice condo with everything you need for an extended stay. The grounds were beautiful and the diving area was really nice too.

We had a very nice stay at Ed's place. It was very roomy for five adults (me, my wife, both our sons in their 20s and one girlfriend). Lots of room to hang out downstairs between the kitchen, living room and dining room.
We like to snorkel (not experts, but do for fun) and the water here easily had the best snorkeling we've done off the shore at Grand Cayman. (We also did Cemetery, Spotts, Rum Point and 7 Mile.)
The complex has two nice pools, one of which has a whirlpool. Several families got together to watch the sunsets on the beach. All friendly people that we met.
It's also a really short walk (4 minutes) to Macabuca, for meals and/or drinks.
Speaking of the beach here, it's not one you walk across the sand into the water. You actually have to walk down a ladder into a tiny cove and then you can swim in the ocean. Designed for snorkelers and divers, not children who want to run in. And there were tubes, noodles, a small cooler available in a small cabinet under the stairs.
The property manager stopped by and we rented fins from him. Thought it was nice of him to stop by. And you definitely want a car around here - yes, we could easily park.
Would definitely stay here if we were to visit again.

Very large unit. Nice pool outside patio door. Great sunsets. Scuba and snorkeling from shore is spectacular. Friendly neighbors.

My family really enjoyed our stay! The condo was clean, roomy and just steps away from a nice pool that's surrounded by lush tropical plants. We rented dive gear for the week from the on-site property manager, Duncan, who was friendly, easily accessible and very helpful when we had questions and dive info/assistance. Having pre-filled tanks at the ready and the ability to access several of Cayman's best dive sites right from the ladder was a real bonus! A short walk to Macabuca allowed for more diving, including night dives, along with great food and spectacular sunset views. We stayed for 10 days and rented a car. The condo is a short drive to Foster's grocery and Cemetery Beach, which was lovely for snorkeling and beach time without crowds. Ed, the host, was very communicative and provided everything we needed for easy access and abundant visitor info. We enjoyed hanging out with Stuart (a neighbor) and the lovely Jamaican night security guard, who visited with us poolside each evening. The condo is super clean. It could use some updating here and there, but if you're going to Grand Cayman to enjoy all that Grand Cayman has to offer, this is a lovely place to stay!
10.0 / 10.0
The condo is very nice - clean, well equipped, and quietly placed by the smaller of the 2 pools in the complex. Instructions from Ed all very useful and check-in a breeze. This is a great place to be if you want a relaxing stay away from the whirl of 7-mile beach, but actually very close to everything. The shore diving is also brilliant from here - easy access, easy dive and plenty to see.

Fantastic 2 weeks spent in a great condo in Coconut Bay, one of the best developments on the best island in the Caribbean.
Great owner and support, great facilities, great view... great everything.
Thoroughly recommend but make sure not to book the dates we want as we will definately be back!

This property was so catered to our underwater needs. The ability to walk down the property and jump right in the water and dive or snorkel was spectacular.
The actual house was great as well. Everything you could need. We were four of us and my only recommendation is coordinate shower times. The water pressure was very skimpy when two showers were on at the same time. But the hot water lasted like a dream for all four of us!
Looking forward to staying with you in the future!!!

Condo was a great. Met the property Manager Duncan the first morning. He answered all of our questions, mostly about diving and rinse tanks. Short drive to anything we needed. Will definitely be staying again.

Host was excellent with communications and providing great recommendations for dining and enjoying the island. The condo is great size 3 bedrooms, 3.5 baths so each room has bathroom that serves it plus half bath on main floor. 1 bedroom has 2 beds so lots of sleeping space. Walk out patio right to perfect pool with padded chairs to relax on. Location was super convenient to everything. Wifi worked fine for staying in touch. Turtle sanctuary right near by was awesome. Walk to local bar grill overlooking water was great dining option. Checked out several beaches all with easy parking and facilities. Drove around island 1 day. East side and north side housing is a farther drive than you might expect being on west side was better. Also Overall condo complex was well kept. 2 pool options on site and diving on site as well.

This was our second dive vacation at Coconut Bay. The condo was as advertised, clean and well stocked. Great shore diving from the property along the inner mini-wall and the outer main wall plus other nearby shore diving spots. The owner and property manager were easy to deal with and very responsive. We will be back!

Overall we had a good time and enjoyed our stay. The condo definitely needs to be maintained better! The air conditioning was very inconsistent and the upstairs thermostat was not properly connected to the wall and it kept turning off. Also, the bathtub drains in all of the showers were extremely slow to drain and one would find yourself in water above your ankles while showering.

Winter Retreat to Coconut Bay
Could not have asked for a more relaxing resort to come home to after exploring the island and what lies beneath its wild waters! Clean and well appointed units. Next door to Macabuca for some of the best offshore diving on the island.
The owner was attentive and helpful in arranging dive charters and snorkeling activities including Stingray City and Starfish point. The location provides access to many unique beaches and is just a short drive to convenience or grocery stores. Definitely would recommend this place for a relaxing retreat.

Great location, condo, and help from staff
We close to terrific restaurants and activities (snorkeling, beach walks, Turtle center, guided trips, etc.). We had a terrific time and hope to come back with the whole family. Highly recommend.

Awesome Vacation
My wife and I and four of our friends had a wonderful vacation at Coconut Bay Condo 101. The condo was outfitted perfectly for our needs. We loved having the pool right there at our veranda. We spent quality time hanging out there. The snorkeling right there at the property was great! One of the many wonderful experiences was getting to snorkel with a sea turtle right there in the waters in front of Coconut Bay Condos. The owner gave me great information prior to our vacation that made everything easy once we got to the island. We are looking forward to our next visit.

Great Condo, Great Location, Great Time
This condo is steps away from some of the best diving and snorkeling spots. Plus, you have a pool right outside the patio door. One of our favorite restaurants (Macabuca) is walking distance. Ed provides great recommendations for other restaurant and activities. We definitely want to visit again.

Thanksgiving Get Away
The property was located North of the town and conveniently located near excellent dive sites and restaurants . The 3 bedroom condo was spacious and had a full compliment of cooking utensils and pottery. There were filled scuba tanks and weights located close to the ocean and fresh water rinsing station. The unit had a gas grill which made home cooking BBQ's easy. The property manager, Duncan Heard ensured everything was functional and no problems or issues with check in. Take a quick trip to Hell and mail a friend a post card. Look forward to time off to book another trip to this property and Cayman

Coconut Bay - A divers paradise!
Our family of six stayed here in Ed's condo (#101) for a week. It truly is a divers paradise! Although set off the water in a pool side location, you are only moments away from some of the best diving in the world! You walk right out your door, set-up your gear with tanks at a well equipped and maintained staging area, walk down to the dock area, enter the water via a ladder into the small inlet and swim out to Hepps Pipeline or Wall within minutes. The diving is incredible, with tons of sea-life and amazing visibility. Everything is available for you right here. Duncan, the property manager and owner of Stingray Sports can book and provide boat dives if you wish or take you out to Stingray City. He also provided our dive gear (BCD & regulators) which were in excellent working order. He was very attentive to our needs and took great care of us during our stay. The condo comfortably slept six and was fully equipped for all of your meal prep needs. There is a grocery store five minutes from the house for all of your food items. If you need more beach time, you are only minutes away from Seven Mile beach, to enjoy of you wish. This is a lovely quiet, secluded spot away from the crowds of Georgetown. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and hope to visit again soon.

Fun Place for Divers
I love this location. This was my second time to stay at this place. It's great for shore diving. The kitchen has enough utensils and cookware for larger groups. All working appliances. The water stays nice and warm. The porch has a working grill and an area to hang your gear, wet towels, or swim wear. The pool is about ten steps from the back porch. Nice and quiet. Short drive to 7 mile, but highly recommend renting a car.

The condo was super nice, incredibly convenient to everything we wanted to do and you can't get any better with diving right on site! This is going to be my go to place anytime on the island!

Perfect Holiday
Recently completed a week stay in the condo and everything was perfect. Location is great, 5 minutes from north 7 mile beach, walking distance to Oceanside tiki bar and restaurant, and great shore diving. Air tanks kept on site which makes for easy access to one of the best shore dives on the island. The owner Ed was fantastic to work with. Very responsive and condo was as listed. Plenty of space, 2 pools on property. We had a vehicle which I recommend to allow for easy exploration of the island. We began our holiday with hiring a mobile spa, Perfectly pampered. Nothing starts a holiday better than arriving on island, having an early dinner and drink at Macabuca and closing with in-house spa treatments. Places you in immediate relaxation. Ed thanks again. We cannot wait to return.
