About this house rental
Red Quill Camp is located on Quimby Pond Rd in Rangeley, Maine. There is direct access to the snowmobile trails and access to Quimby Pond-a great place to fly fish and to canoe.
The house is a cozy classic Maine Camp with a fireplace, gas heater and a sunny enclosed porch looking into the backyard and the woods.
There is a canoe and grill for renters to use in the summer and you can hear the loons calling from the pond.
The driveway is big enough for two trucks and snowmobile trailers.
It is a quick ten-minute drive to the center of Rangeley Village, and a five-minute drive to Oquossoc village.
There are arrival and departure instructions on the fridge. Guests are asked to make their beds with the sheets provided upon arrival and put their trash into the bins outside on departure.
This is a non-smoking property.
Around Camp:
The camp has a front and back yard as well as woods behind the camp. You can drive directly to it in all seasons on a paved road. The small neighborhood is very friendly and people often walk their dogs and run along the road.
Quimby Pond is a no-motor’s fly-fishing only pond. It is beautiful to boat around, with easy access and excellent fly-fishing.
Direct access to snowmobile trails, so in the winter you can roll out of bed and hop on your snowmobile parked next to the camp and immediately get on the snowmobile trails.
Easy Access to Saddleback Mt. Grab your skis and head to Saddleback Mountain, a short twenty-minute drive up to the lifts for fresh tracks.
You can also put on your snowshoes and go explore the hills around the camp on the nearby trails.
There is great bird cover behind the camp. In the fall enjoy the foliage, or come up for a hunting trip.
In the spring, summer, and fall, bring your hiking shoes and water bottle and explore the many hiking trails around the camp and in the Rangeley lakes region. Some trails start near the camp.

Just right for our family stay! Would love to come back in the winter to cuddle up next to the wood stove. All we needed, and in a great setting. Thankful for the canoe access to Quimby Pond too!

The camp was clean, comfortable and well stocked making our stay most enjoyable.

The space was fantastic if it is a serene cabin you are looking for. Certainly a great place to disconnect from the busy world and spend quality time with those you are with. No televisions was a shock to the kids but they quickly adjusted to how great it was to play games hang out and chat instead of being distracted with electronics. The description states a hot tub which does not exist but it truly was a fantastic weekend.

Great property. Clean and comfy and great location. Hiked the trails near the house. Skied at saddleback. Our host was able to be flex with the arrival and departure dates and accommodated a last minute change. Would highly recommend!

Amazing place to stay! Secluded but close to town. We went there to ski but weather was horrible. We enjoyed the coziness of the cabin after some hiking on a nearby trail. Would definitely stay there again!

Our family (my older husband, daughters and their spouses) loved Leah’s Rangeley, ME camp, a very private, sweet space with many extra amenities: canoe, grill, fire pit, wood stove, games, enclosed porch, comfy beds! The small kitchen is very well equipped with everything we needed and more. The enclosed porch is a plus. For a family or small group of friends, this place is reasonably priced, compared to nearby more upscale lodging.
The highlight of our weekend was a 4 1/2 hr canoe trip down the Magalloway River into NH, an easy 14k float which felt very remote in spite of being parallel to Rt 16. Beautiful water fowl abounds in this area into the Umbagog Nature Reserve!
Already looking forward to a return visit! Thank you Leah for making your home available.

Amazing time at the cabin. So quiet and peaceful
You can hear the loons. The place was warm and cozy for this rainy weather! The porch was a perfect place to unwind and take in the peacefulness of the area.

We stayed for a snowmobile trip. Property is at a PERFECT location for this. Can ride right from the house. So many rooms and beds. Can accommodate a lot of people! Beds are comfy, everything was clean. Planning to book again next year!.... There's no TVs but plenty of games and an awesome well put together detailed book of "to do's" in the area!

Comfortable, cozy, private. Responsive owner. Single bath a bit of a challenge for two couples but nice to have washer dryer. Kitchen well furnished all appliances, wished it had more counter space and lighting for cooking. Comfortable beds! Helpful notes and information provided by owner.

The camp was perfect for our group and will stay there again for sure. Snowmobile trail right out the back of the camp. Plenty of deer came by to visit and made sure we were having fun. We can’t wait to go back this summer. Thank you again Leah for letting us make great memories at your camp.

I liked the place as it was VERY close to the 108 connector trail. I would rent it again. It is dated and could really use some upgrading in a few different areas. Also no TV which was a little disapointing. We had a 4 place and 2 place trailer in the parking area without a problem. Good spot for sledders. Thanks

This cabin worked perfectly for our family of five. We happily enjoyed cross-country skiing on the trails from the house. Enjoyed walking on the road. And also the close proximity to Saddleback.

Red Quill Camp was a lovely place to spend the weekend with friends. There was every thing we needed for our stay. The wood stove made the stay cozy on a below zero night. We enjoyed snowshoeing in the area. I will be going back in March.

The was such a sweet cabin, and just a wonderful getaway. It felt private, even though we were in a neighborhood. It was so quiet, and the boat access was a short 5 minute walk. The location was great, we were really close to everything! We loved falling asleep to the loons at nite, and seeing a few on the pond as we canoed. Those were my boys two favorite things; the loons and the canoe.
