The hotel is located in a nice location, away from the noise of Zicatela, but close enough to walk there or La Punta. There are several restaurants, a nice mercado, abarrotes, and a laundry in walking distance. We really appreciated having an air conditioning and the pool during some very hot and humid days during our stay. We got meet the amazing owner, Beatriz and you can tell that she has invested a lot of, not jut money, but love and care into the facilities. The staff is excellent, the location is very secure and we really loved our stay.
We also need to talk about the staff, specifically Rosie. Being from San Francisco, where it was a constant marine layer, we thought that we had prepared ourselves well for the temperature change. We quickly realized that it was more than we expected. After arriving in early morning, Rosie had an empty room opened up so that we could quickly shower and change until our room was ready later in the afternoon. I was just getting over the flu when leaving Oaxaca and she when we would see her, she would always check in to see how I was feeling. Also, when we first got of the ADO bus, we had a bad experience with rateros trying to price gauge us to take a taxi to the hotel which is only a seven minute ride. I’m pretty skilled with taking taxis in Mexico and so while we de fit ley still overpaid, I was able to push back to get a lower price. Knowing this, Rosie arranged for a taxi company that she trusted to take us to do the turtle release in Bacocho, who would take us, wait for us to finish, and then drive us back to the hotel. Rosie also spoke to Beatriz that that our bus to Chiapas would not be leaving until late at night, so we were able to have a much later check out in the evening so that we could stay indoors during the hottest parts of the day and she arranged a taxi back to the station.

Super comfortable, clean. It’s very close to La Punta and at a reasonable distance from the other beaches.
Very nice facilities.

the pool was amazing in the heat. nice yard. felt spacious, and was quiet and tucked away.
the side window in our room opened to a stairway and i wish it had a covering option. would like better coffee option.

the Guest House is really nice, we enjoyed the pool and the other guests (some are staying for months) are nice.
the location was not the best for us, nice cafes and restaurants are a bit too far without a car

it was clean and quiet
over priced. I upgraded paid $290 for Thursday to Monday because the other room had no air conditioning and no kitchenette. the place had nothing to offer besides the swimming pool. truly it was not worth it. this place is more for retired people to just swim and read. also I was going to buy water on the market for 20 pesos but the people who stay at this hotel told me that the cleaning lady can order the water and they bring to your door only for 30 pesos, but they charge me nearly 200 pesos and also when I paid cash for the upgrade of the room she gave me 100 pesos short and when I calculated and showed her this was not right she pretended it was a mistake.

This was by far the most modern room we had in Puerto Escondido (out of 5 hotels) and the property was beautiful. It's a little off the beaten path, but that meant for the quietest nights we had. It was great to explore this side of town, and truly everything we needed was within a 7 minute walk. The Zicatela market was our favourite part of this neighbourhood. Breakfast there is not to be missed! The staff was extremely accommodating with any requests we did have (a bath mat, a hand towel and salt were our only requests!). Phenomenal value for money. And with the rate at which Puerto Escondido is developing this will probably the nicest part of town by December 2022.
I think if we had stayed for longer than 3 days we would have wished the kitchen was better equipped. But I'm sure that anything you need would be promptly delivered by the staff. Extremely accommodating!

Big garden and spacious common areas. Wifi is working good and location is perfext for walking both zicatela beach and la punta
I would like to say that "sound isolation in the rooms are weak" but there is no sound isolation at all. If one of your neighbours decides to have a pool party at night you have to go out and shut them up

Very safe and clean and spacy. Nice pool. Would go there again anytime
15 min walk to get where the action is.
