It was better than we expected. Very accomodating. Will definitely want to rent this cabin again.

This cabin has an amazing view that can’t be beat and perfectly held 20 family members ranging in ages 4-60. TVs are in every room and the kitchen has basic cooking supplies. All but one bedroom is linked for access so no real privacy but you expect that with 20 family members in one house. The view can not be beat from the patio area. We even had a bear visit and circle the house 2 out of the 3 days we were there. The only negative I would note is that there is no barrier of any kind down the slope so if you have children watch them closely because if you slip off of the patio there’s no climbing down for a rescue. I would rent this location again just not with the children.

Cleanliness could do a little better- especially with wood flooring. Ramp goin into cabin was great but I’m 5’2 and small level of mobility issues and beds were so high I had hard time gettin in and out. Other than that it was great!!!

The rustic mountain cabin was exactly as hoped and we hated to leave!

We had a large group of 19 with friends and family combined with all 6 bathrooms everyone found a space to be comfortable and the game room and hot tub were great to have access too. Thank you for sharing your vacation home.

We had a good experience. Had a issue with heater and they corrected it within an hour. Location was great. Close to town but not too close. Would highly recommend!

We enjoyed the accommodations at the lodge. I love the location. Some of the pots has caked on food but we needed the bigger pots for a bigger group so we washed it and used it. Not impressed with the quality or usefulness of cook wear...if you have a larger group (we had 12) be prepared to bring griddle, bigger sheet pans, things like that. Also, be aware that the 4 of the 5 bedrooms are adjoining and you will have to go through bedrooms to get to other rooms. The front ramp was slick in the rain and we had someone slip...they were fine but there's no hand rail or grips on the ramp. The space was great, the location incredible, and the view was fantastic. For how reasonable the price was l would return.

This property was lovely; the scenery is incredible. The layout of the house is wonderful. The only downside was that we could hear EVERYTHING that was happening upstairs while we were trying to sleep downstairs.

Bathrooms need to be cleaned better. The price is consistent for a fairly old but preserved structure. The bathrooms could be restored to improve the conditions of the house. the dryer has a strange smell. In general all good. The excellent kitchen. The bbq area is perfect.

Worth the vacation
Older model cabin but loved it. Felt relaxing other then cramped hotels. Needs a little tlc as the rockers are falling apart and drains are slow but still love the quiet. The drive up the road is scary the first time but get use to it. Steep one veh wide drive up and down. The disappointment is we didn't see a bear.

Improvements Needed
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. I'll break down my review into a few sections: our group (to discuss what we needed), what we loved, and what we encourage the owners to consider updating.
I had a family of 14 people rent out this cabin over Easter weekend. We had 10 adults and 14 kids (2, 5, 6 and 8). We really wanted a cabin big enough for the 5 families to have their own room, so the space was great and accommodated all of us well. Cathy was very responsive to all my questions along the way and was flexible about adding one more night to our stay last minute.
The location was so great. The town of Townsend has neat shops and a short little trail that's accessible from the cabin. Relatively close to a lot of gems and the view of the mountains was absolutely breathtaking (although there is a highway that sort of interrupts the beauty of mother nature that you can see from the cabin). We enjoyed the firepit and the hot tub. The kitchen is beautifully stocked with everything you need (tons of plates, glasses, silverware, etc). We cooked several meals and even baked a few sweets. We were able to drive to Gatlinburg as well as the Smoky Mountains National Park. A few of us even went to Dollywood. Having a washer and dryer was amazing as well as several linens for a group our size.
With all that being said, the cabin is in need of many improvements. To begin with, some of our bathrooms could have been cleaner and we couldn't really tell if the bathroom on the first floor was leaking. My mother's sheets seemed unwashed. The grill was filthy and all the picnic tables were not wiped down and were extremely dirty (we did call the office about this and they apologized). Some of the furniture outside were unstable (wooden benches and rocking chairs seemed to be falling apart and unsafe to even have out). The doors were a nightmare as many of them didn't close. Some of the beds had dips and humps in them and were incredibly uncomfortable. The kitchen sink didn't drain well.
Other misc. items just for the next group renting this cabin: The foosball table was great, but we were playing with table tennis balls which doesn't do the game any sort of justice. The pool sticks are crooked and the table seemed unstable (really worn out). Some of the shower curtains had stains and the dishwasher left some residue on the dishes. We couldn't find the iron.
I would recommend cautiously. It's obvious that this place is constantly being booked.

Very nice
The cabin was nice and clean. When we got there we found a couple small lizards running in the kitchen but wasnt hard to place them outside. We traveled everyday to Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge but did manage to build a couple fires with the wood that was supplied. Beds were very comfortable and cabin was provided with all the amenities we needed. If you are looking for quiet and relaxing this is the place

Perfect view
It was a gorgeous location and a gorgeous view. The rooms with the bunk beds connect to the bedroom next to it; there is no separate door to get in and out of those rooms. So you have to walk through one room to get to the next room.

Smoky Mountain Spring Break
The house was pretty nice but could use some minor maintenance- doors and counter tops. We really enjoyed the fire pit (with wood included) and the hot tub. House was missing some minor items like wine cork screw and hair dryers but was pretty nice and Townsend was a great location. Far enough from the craziness of Gatlinburg but still very near all the National Park drives and trails.

Terrible
Property was not clean upon arrival. Bugs were on the floor and in the beds. Smell was horrible. After talking with property manager it would be hour late r more to round up people to clean the property. We did not stay at this property.

Our special Christmas trip!
We've never been to any mountains, so this visit was a 1st for our entire group of 14! We LOVED every minute of our visit. We even got to see a bear! The cabin was, more than, enough space for us! The view was SPECTACULAR! Especially, loved the balcony of the cabin! Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for making our visit special with all of the comforts of home!!

amazing location!
Perfect place to say. Oven seems to have a problem with lower heating element. It was glowing in one spot when we tried to make a pizza so we just didn't use it to cook - the grill was a perfect stand in. Comfy beds, plenty of room, Nd the pool table was fun to have in the evenings.

Beautiful place for large family/friends getaway.
This is a beautiful cabin with a gorgeous view. The area outside is perfect for relaxing, enjoying a fire in the pit and porch sitting. Lots of room for lots of people to sleep and get away. We would return for another visit.

Youth group trip
I booked this cabin for my youth group instead of staying in a hotel. We had 14 people in our group. The kids loved everything about the cabin! From the rocking chairs that overlooked the valley below to the hot tub! We loved everything about it!

Great cabin great views
Great cabin for large groups. Awesome views from very large back patio. Large outdoor pavilion to grill under. Firewood was provided for the large firepit. Overall a great cabin. I gave 4 stars due to one shower being broken

Great family/group cabin with lovely view!
All in all the place is wonderful. Folks considering this property do need to understand that the described “walk through” bedrooms mean that you do indeed need to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom. In the case of the downstairs bedroom pair, you can also get to the back bedroom via the slider on the outdoor porch. But in the case of the upstairs back bedroom there’s no way in without going through one of the other bedrooms. If that’s not an issue for your group then this property other than that was fantastic. We were with a large group renting multiple cabins for a large wedding at the Barn Event Center. From what I understand, our cabin was the easiest to get to off of 321, as well as nice and close to the event center. Would definitely consider returning to and recommending this property.

We loved the Lodge!
We stayed at the Lodge for 3 nights and it was wonderful! The cabin is so spacious and the Mountain View is breathtaking. We were married in Cades Cove then had a reception back at the cabin. The back area and covered porch were perfect for this! We also saw a bear everyday of our stay!!!

Awesome cabin for our family reunion!
We had a great time at this well-appointed cabin. Beautiful views yet convenient to Townsend, Cades Cove, and the Caverns. We even saw a bear! The hot tub and fire pit were a big hit too and the cabin comfortably accommodated our very large family. The deck on the back of the cabin is new and we enjoyed the rocking chairs. We will definitely come back!

Cabin was great! Family completely enjoyed the stay.
The property was well kept, game room and hot tub were a big hit with the kids. We all enjoyed sitting by the fire pit and having a great time. We will do it again. JT

Disappointing.
Unkempt outside with deficiencies within. We have sent a letter to the agent, Smoky Cabins, describing our experience.

Great place
Great place for a large crowd. Very well maintained. Amazing view. There was power outage on one day and water outage but that was probably a one time occurrence. Our entire group loved the cabin.
