Crow’s Nest is clean, well set up and everything you need for an enjoyable stay.

Loved the house, loved the location, loved sitting on the outside veranda every morning listening to the birds, the porch is the bonus!!

Our family and dog had a wonderful vacation in the beautiful San Jacinto Mountains at this cozy, mountain-themed home. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by the rustic charm and modern amenities of the house. The wood fireplace provided a warm and inviting atmosphere, and the well-appointed deck quickly became our favorite spot for morning coffee and evening relaxation.
Each day, we ventured out to hike one of the many trails in the area. The variety of trails meant that there was always something new to explore. In the afternoons, after our adventures, we soaked in the outdoor hot tub, letting the warm water soothe our tired muscles as we took in the serene mountain views.
The location of this rental is perfect for a peaceful yet convenient getaway. Being less than a mile from the heart of Idyllwild-Pine Cove, we found it easy to walk into town for dinner each night. The town itself is charming, with a variety of shops, dining options, and galleries.
The home is thoughtfully designed with a blend of rustic and modern elements. We loved the hardwood floors and knotty pine ceilings, which gave the house a true mountain cabin feel. The living room, with its high ceiling and rock-faced wood-burning fireplace, was a cozy spot to unwind. The kitchen was well-stocked with essential cookware and modern appliances, making it easy to prepare meals and snacks.
The provided WiFi kept us connected and entertained during our downtime. The private washer/dryer was incredibly convenient, ensuring we always had fresh clothes for our daily hikes and outings.
In summary, our stay in the San Jacinto Mountains was excellent. The combination of daily hikes, afternoon soaks in the hot tub, and evening walks into town for dinner created a perfect vacation experience. We highly recommend this rental for families and nature lovers looking for a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.

Lovely home.
Well appointed furniture, very comfy beds.
A few things we noticed.:
Kitchen knives were dull. Perhaps consider adding a knife sharpener for guests.
Coffee maker didn’t keep coffee warm, was old and tricky to use, please consider a new coffee maker.
Our dogs found under the main bdrm 2 chewed up meat bones from previous renters.
The place was clean but being mindful of checking under the bed for such things would be good.
The place was very comfortable and we enjoyed the spacious deck.
We shall be back

The crow’s nest is a wonderful little house to get some peace and quiet. There are neighbors on either side but the noise level is very low, often completely silent outside. The yard is well fenced in including chicken wire around the bottom of the fence to keep even the tiniest dogs safe to roam. Hot tub worked well, as did the grill, and the kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans making it easy to prepare meals. Loved it!

My wife and I lived our stay here. Our corgi puppy also enjoyed the property where he could roam free. Definitely will come back again. Perfect size for quick getaway. Easy walk or bike ride into town. Quiet and cozy.

We had a wonderful time. The place was charming, clean and very comfortable.
Two small things:
1) There was s very strong sewer smell coming from under the deck near the kitchen door. We tried to locate it but couldn’t pinpoint.
2) There is only one broken ice tray. We recommend replacing it. If we were staying longer I would have bought a couple as a house gift!😁
4.8
Great property with plenty of room for a family of four plus a furry friend or two. The kitchen was well stocked with essentials such as cooking oil, salt and peppers, herbs and spices. The bedrooms were spacious and the beds very comfortable. The property also has some very nice touches like a dog bed, umbrella and scarf in case you've forgotten those things. It's also conveniently located within walking distance from town.
4.8
Unbelievably clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed for the perfect little family getaway. We couldn't have been any happier....Unless the hot tub had been working!!
4.8
Loved the cleanliness and the house has been exactly what was portrayed. Must comeback for next years anniversary (:

Really loved staying here. Is even bigger than it looks and was really clean comfortable and cute. Well stocked kitchen, rokus on every tv, and comfy beds.

We loved our stay at the Crow's Nest! It was so cozy and the hot tub was awesome! Super close to town as well!
4.8
Great location with plenty of parking. Private hot tub and deck with ample chairs and tables. Quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of downtown Idyllwild. Master bedroom has wonderful comforter and sheets, mattress was 8 out of 10 for comfort. Second bedroom has same sheets and comforter but a stiffer mattress, giving its comfort level a 6 out of 10. Showerheads in both bathrooms need a CLR cleaning due to mineral build up, shower pressure 5 out of 10.
Wifi and streaming services worked great in every room.
Temperature is well maintained by the thermometer an easily modified.
Fireplace vents smoke well, no issues.

we enjoyed our stay… very comfortable home. we cooked we soaked in the jacuzzi. had a nice little fire. saw bunnys and cool birds. thank you. we’ll be back!!
4.8
This place was exactly what I hoped it would be - Tucked away in the forest but close enough to run to the grocery store and grab some more wood and champagne!!! We were comfortable the moment we walked through the door and for our entire stay!! The beds were AMAZING!! and the fireplace was so cozy and warm! We all hated to leave but will always have such great memories of a weekend away resting and relaxing!!
4.8
Clean wooded fenced yard was perfect for our big lab to explore. The house is on a quiet road and in the back of the property for privacy. Having a plug for our EV worked great for enough battery fill to get to next destination. Very comfortable place to stay.
4.8
All in all it’s a great place to stay. A nice yard to wander that is fully enclosed. Very bright and cozy interior w/a nice fireplace. I really enjoy relaxing on the deck w/tables and chairs. The only reason I dock a point is the jacuzzi is pretty worn and the jets are rather weak. I also wanted to turn on the hanging lights that surround the deck which didn’t work. I still think this is the go to cabin that has the proper amenities, dog friendly in the price range. This was my 3rd stay here and I will be back!

Charming 2 bedroom cabin in the woods. Nice fireplace, hot tub, deck and furnishings
4.8
We had a wonderful time together in your cabin retreat. We really appreciate the nice beds and bathrooms. The deck is nice but I would suggest chair covers so you can protect the cushions. We didn’t have time for the jacuzzi or making a fire in the hearth.

Our stay at the Crows nest was perfect. The cabin and fenced yard was perfect for our dogs. Great weather sitting out on the deck in the sunshine. It was great to have a jacuzzi for relaxing. The location of this cabin is easy access to town. It was a quiet, private location. I would rent this beautiful place again in a heart beat!!!
The sound of Strawberry creek running made it more magical!
4.8
The cabin was perfect. It was located close to town but felt more remote. The check in process was super easy. It had everything we needed for a weekend stay and was very clean. I will definitely be back

We loved this little cabin in the mountains - we enjoyed the location - less than 1/2 mile from restaurants and little shops. The hot tub was great too. It got cool at night so we used the fireplace to stay a little warmer. The place is very clean and nice , but the master bath shower could use some love - it’s a little moldy. We definitely would stay here again.
4.8
Snow became an issue. We had to switch vehicles before leaving home. Would have liked to have known a little sooner.
Kitchen feels a little tired. If your cooking bring some items with you.
Clean. Peaceful. Lovely. Would stay again.
4.8
A cozy cabin vibe with everything you need to be comfortable! The fireplace and hot tub were a big draw for us. The beds are really comfy, and the location is perfect too, a beautiful residential street that is also close to town. Highly recommended.
4.8
I really liked the cabin, patio and yard. Great fireplace and interior had a lot of windows and felt bright and open. The reason I gave 3 stars was because the jacuzzi had a large puddle of dirty water on the cover, the jacuzzi was somewhat dirty inside and didn’t work. I do give Bob 5 (Vacasa Customer support) 5 stars who handled my situation, got me into another cabin for the next night with a functional jacuzzi. Thanks Bob!

It’s a spacious, beautiful cabin, we had a wonderful time and our dog was able to run free in the yard thanks to the safe gates. The manager with who we interact ed a bit was very nice to us.
I do thing that having to check out at 10am is a bit too early, considering the check in is at 4pm, I know it’s for cleaning reasons but I’ve never seen a place with a check in so early
4.8
I want to start off by saying that the Crow’s Nest is a beautiful little spot. When we showed up it was clean and exactly how we had imagined it. Except without a heater…
We thought we could make do, but 20 degrees in December was pretty cold. After talking to management (who were communicative and helpful at first), they let us know they would do their best to try and accommodate us. Ultimately there was nothing they could do to fix the heather or get us more space heaters.
After initially letting us know that they would give us a discount / work something out for our troubles, we were ghosted. I would recommend this place but check first if heater is working!
Also recommend that management does a better job of communicating with future guests.
4.8
When we arrived, the heater didn't work. While we appreciate managements efforts to get the heater working, there was no solution at the time so we had to leave. This ruined our entire trip since it was for only two nights. We couldn't enjoy the first night because we had to sleep in our ski clothes and we had to leave the next morning due to no heat.
4.8
It was very cozy. Only a couple of comments: Guest bathroom is quite far from the second bedroom and the streaming tv's were difficult. Would be nice if all tv's were on the same cable.
4.8
Very charming house, close to town. A very quiet cozy home. Thank you for sharing 😍

Our stay at Crow's Nest could not have been better. What a cozy home to read, rest, hike, knit, and sit by the fire. Wonderful too for sleeping in the high altitude clear mountain air. Highly recommend and plan to return.

This is the best place I've stayed in Idyllwild. It is well furnished, there's a large yard for a dog, it's close to the center of town the hot tub and barbeque are especially nice. It is not camping out. It is a home and well appointed.
4.8
This was perfect for our little family of 4 and dog get away. We will absolutely stay here again.

Great yard for dogs. Hot tub was nice. Bed was comfortable. Wish there was a dishwasher. Although the house was very clean, I wished there were more cleaning supplies available for guests to use during the stay. The check in info was sent later than I’m used to when I’ve rented through other platforms which caused a bit of anxiety, as my message was not responded to either. But once I got the check-in info it was an easy check-in. Loved the location the house was in, very beautiful and close to many cute restaurants, shops, hiking trails, scenic highways etc. Overall, this was one of my favorite trips I’ve taken and would rent this lovely cottage again!

This is a charming little home. Very relaxing and beautiful!

Clean, cosy cabin with lots of outdoor space. We enjoyed the hot tub which also doubled as our front-row seat to a dark sky full of twinkling stars. And the bed was so comfortable! Then than a mile from restaurants and shops, yet far enough away to get lost in your own quiet, private little world. Highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to get away while remaining connected (if you must!)
4.8
We found this property to be more a “cottage” than a cabin. Not so rustic Very comfortable and beautifully decorated. Lovely outdoor space

Awesome property!!!! Love the location, the hot tub, and the quiet neighborhood. Just be careful of the guest shower - can get a little slick in there and not much traction for the feet. All in all, a wonderful and cozy place to get away from the city bustle. Love the Master bed too! Bravo VACASA!!!!
