Sadly, bedbugs were fiund at the property and we had to leave. VRBO was absolutely AWFUL about finding us another property. We were on the phone for 3 hours trying to get things resolved. This said, the owner was apologetic and called to.let us knoe they had an exterminator there the very next morning.

We really enjoyed Marie's place. We were down for our daughters graduation at the University of Cincinnati. The location was perfect. Close to the University, close to a ton of places to eat. To top it off, being able to park in the driveway was a huge bonus. The place was clean, comfortable and relaxing. My youngest daughter will be enrolling at UC this fall and i am sure we will stay here again.

Off street parking, too. It was the right place for our visit to the Reds. We'd vome back again.

Everything was great but dishwasher wasn’t emptied and more and new linens should be invested in.

Our group flew in from South Carolina at an awkward time for checking into a place to stay. The host made the house available to us early, saving us from walking around with bags for hours. At checkout, same graciousness was given in a late checkout.
The house was clean, well maintained, and very spacious. It was about 20-25 minutes from CVG airport.
The area had many amenities including a short walk or Lime Scooter ride to the University of Cincinnati, Short Vine (bars and restaurants), and about a 10-15 minute drive or rideshare to Great American Ball Park. Rideshares were readily available and we rarely had to wait longer than 5-10 minutes.
Overall, the house was awesome. I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to explore the city, and would definitely stay again in future trips to Cincy!

We were visiting family who live in the Clifton neighborhood. Being 7 minutes away was perfect. The house was very clean and spacious. There were lots of extras to make us feel comfortable. We’ll definitely look to stay here again for our next visit.

Everything is thought off - from the kitchen, to the extras, to the tv/remote instructions, to all the switches and outlets labeled.
Perfect for visiting our son, at student at UC, for the weekend.
Oh, be sure to visit Highland Coffee House two doors down —

Quiet Getaway
I am a Cincinnati Native and am in this part of the city often. My sister works at the hospital. We needed a quiet getaway to break up the monotony of our routine lives. She visited with me 3 nights and stayed for one those in order to sleep. This was the perfect, quiet spot, surprisingly, in spite of peaceful protests, Covid 19, and rioting. I was able to enjoy sitting on the balcony in the late afternoons and evenings. The rehab of this property was nicely done. I had not recognized it from years past! (My retired Opthalmalogists' building sits across the street.) The neighborhood is very walkable. My sister could have walked to work if, she'd wanted.
Miss Marie was very attentive to any questions that arose.
We would be very inclined to rent this property again and I want to rent one more night but, it was no longer available.
The only thing that could be considered a negative to some, might be the ants. They were no bother to me. I kept to myself and they kept to themselves. Also, there seemed to beeping coming from the Dining room closet. I was told that it was from the vacuums. It was a little annoying but, I was there to rest and relax and stayed upstairs and on the balcony most of the time anyway, so, no biggie.
It was nice not to have to hear TVs, stereos, husband, nor children talking/playing. Mostly, just me and Jesus!

Loved our stay! We were in town to see a Cards/Reds game and to explore the city. The location was great10 minutes or less to everything downtown! Beds very comfortable, directions for TV, and everything electronic was top notch. Everything about the house was top notch! The only thing would be the steps might be a problem for elderly. We ate at Arnold’s, Soto, and Biscuits and whiskey! Visited the underground museum, Art Museum and the train station!

My college roommate and I met in Cincinnati for a trip down memory lane. So glad we chose this accommodation—we couldn’t have found a more perfect place. It is well-maintained, unbelievably clean, and a wonderful combination of historical home and contemporary decor. And the stereo system was a bonus for us ‘70s music fans!

Great house, close to CCHMC and other key areas of Cincinnati
A colleague and I stayed at the Highland University House while traveling on business to Cincinnati. The house is newly renovated and has its own driveway. The bedrooms and bathrooms were neat and clean, and the kitchen was well furnished. We actually used the counter bar in the kitchen as a desk and cranked out a bunch of work on afternoon. Communication with the owner was great, and our deposit was returned promptly after our stay.
The location is very close to CCHMC and an easy walk or drive to the river. Recommend checking out the German restaurant/brewpub (Mecklenburg Gardens), which is one block away.

This is a terrific spot.
From the moment we entered we felt at home. The attention to detail for all aspects of this home was greatly appreciated. You will know the operation of all electronics, appliances and lights immediately.
The space is well appointed, with plenty of spaces to relax and within walking distance of restaurants, entertainment and shopping.
The owner goes above and beyond in her generosity of supplies.
You will NOT be disappointed!
Thank you again.

Simply Perfect!
If you are planning a trip to Cincinnati, this is the place to stay!! Everything from check-in to check-out was SO EASY! I almost forgot I was not in my own house because everything was so well stocked and available.
The location is the best you could ever ask for. It was a short drive downtown and also a very short drive to the Zoo. There were tons of food choices and some were even in walking distance.
Marie was also very quick with responses and very open with providing all the information we needed!
We could not have asked for a better place to call home while on vacation!!

Clean Home away from home. Downtown area.
We stayed at the highland house while visiting the Ark Encounter, and Creation Museum in Kentucky. The Ark is about 40 min from the house and Creation Museum just about 20. The house is very clean and updated with all the amenities of home I was looking for. The house is in the downtown area near the hospital so you will hear traffic in the morning, but nothing that disturbed us. Both beds were very comfortable and plenty of seating in the LR for our whole family. Marie was very helpful along the way with any questions I may have had with an immediate response. We drove about 10 min to a nearby suburb for some nicer restaurants and an outlet shopping mall w lots of stores for great shopping and great variety of restaurants. The drive to the Ark was nothing and I’m glad we chose to stay at the Highland House. Thanks Marie for the enjoyable stay.

Location, location, location. We could get anywhere in Cincinnati in a few short minutes. The House was filled with anything anyone needed, from Tylenol to fluffy towels. Plenty of space. We used the outdoor patio each day. Very comfortable!! Thank you

Nice Comfy Stay
We were as last minute as it gets on our stay. Thanks to Marie we had a blast. The home is perfect for a family trip. Neighborhood was quiet and seemed very safe. The home was very clean with a lot of room for everyone to spread out. If you are looking for a great place to stay close to everything stop looking and book here. We will be back at some point to Cincy and already are looking forward to our stay again.

Immaculate inside was a welcome home at the end of our very busy days. Mostly nearby.
The interior is so clean I couldnt believe the place is 130 years old. Very nicely updated while maintaining the charm of a more genteel time. Plenty of vlean comfy linens. The kitchen was so well appointed that I felt bad for eating out so much.
The area is very urban which was an ajustment to one in our group. I believe this place and our overall stay will help her enjoy more of what cities like Cincinnati have to offer. We felt comfortable walking several places within 2 mile radius and so many more places accessible for a very reasonable rideshare fee.
I plan to come back this summer.
Thanks Marie for a comfy urban retreat to come back to and chat about all the great places we experienced on a couple of the seven hills.

Perfect Location - University Medical Center
Very convenient to the Medical. House was well equipped - towels, kitchen, etc. Maria was great. Met us the first day, showed us around. If you have someone at the medical center and you are traveling to the area - just stay here. It was our central point when we rotated at the hospital. it is a 5 minute walk or a minute by car. A couple good places to eat near by. I hope we do not have to come back to the medical center, if we do, this will be our first call.
