About this house rental
Enjoy the privacy of our 3 Bedroom chalet with a bubbly, hot, 6 person Hot springs Spa. Comfortably sleeps 8 and includes all the ammenities from home, while you're less than 5 minutes from enjoying all that Jay Peak resort has to offer. Our cooks kitchen will allow even the most experienced of chefs to entertain your family and friends.
There is a large master bedroom on the first floor with an ultraplush pillowtop mattress. Full bath on first and second floor. The second floor bedrooms share the bathroom. The first room has a comfortable queen bed and T.V. while the second room offer's bunkbeds with an additional pullout and a twin bed sleeping up to 4 people.
2018/19 brought a full exterior renovation, including 2 timberframe porch additions. This addition now allows access to the covered, outdoor hot tub only 2 steps away from the door without slugging through the snow.
Our Chalet is likely one of the nicest home rentals in the Jay Peak area and one of few to offer a hot tub.
Let the kids enjoy a movie on the 55' flat screen while the adults enjoy conversation in the dining area attached to the kitchen.
Take a snowshoe hike through the woods to the beaver pond above the chalet, or if you enjoy snowmobiling, jump on the VAST trail. It's right out our back door.

We went in April 2024 for the solar eclipse and skiing.
Great location near Jay Peak. The property/house is amazing. I can see there is a lot to do year round in a beautiful section of Vermont. Will definitely be back.

Great location that is close to Jay Peak and has quiet streets to walk your dog. Gorgeous exterior with big windows and a beautiful sunrise view through the trees. Hot tub and push-of-a-button fireplace are perfect for the end of the ski day relaxing. Ed was very responsive through the VRBO app.
Note that there is the hard-to-vacuum-up, dog hair on the carpet that gets on things in case you are allergic or don’t own a dog! Also, the upstairs queen mattress is not the most comfortable.
That said, it was a lot of fun to stay here, will recommend it to others and hope to do it again.

When looking for a place to accommodate my family of four and two friends this house stood out. When relaxing in the hot tub or swinging in the vintage ski lift chair you’ll find the post and beam construction on the outdoor porch just gorgeous. The house was clean, comfortable and a great fit for our crew.

House is nice and in a great location but during our 2 night stay we lost heat and hot water twice. Ed was quick to resolve the first time but then never acknowledged when it went out later that night and into our checkout morning. So if you like a warm house and hot showers, this might not be the place. He also requires you to sign an additional agreement to rent and when asked for refund for loss of heat/hot water, complained about us “misusing” the hot tub by using too much shock treatment.

The house was prefect for our family of 4 plus our lab to host our annual ski week in VT. The location was about a mile from Jay Peak tramside entrance but still far enough away that we could enjoy the peace and tranquility of the snowy wooded landscape. When we were not skiing, our kids and dog loved playing in the snowy woods around the property while we could relax in the hot tub. The gas fireplace made it super easy to enjoy a warm fire at our convenience. We would have given the house a full 5-stars but we discovered a few hiccups with the cleaning service upon arrival (cold coffee left in the pot, grinds still in the maker, left over pizza in the oven, a few ants, and the dryer loaded with damp towels). None of these were show stoppers at all and after we took care of these items the rest of the house was great.

This property is exactly what it says it is. Close enough to the mountain where you can run down and grab lunch and go back. Hot tub on the deck is a fantastic feature after a long day. The Parking is fantastic for snow days plenty of room.

An amazing place in Jay
Ed and Jolene's house is an absolute gem. A wonderful destination in Vermont, and the house had all the things anyone could ever need. We couldn't have had a better time and Ed and Jolene couldn't have been better hosts.

Great Location, Great Property
Minutes from the mountain, the house is on a very private lot and is set up well for a skiing/riding vacation. The hot tub is nice after a day on the slopes and the house has everything you would need.

Property is perfect for a family of 8.. Its has everything you need from a fully stocked kic., mordern elec. with movie chamnnels and more . Less then 5 min. from Jay. The view from their HOT TUB at the end of day is priceless!!!

Incredible Property!
Ed was a great host, with an amazing home! This is my 6th year visiting Jay and although the other rentals I have stayed at were great, this one took the cake! It had all the amenities you would want for a ski getaway. We decided to eat in mostly and my buddy who is a "chef" had everything he needed to whip up lunch/dinner. The hot tub was clutch, especially after a day of riding in the woods. The location could not have been better! It had a remote feel (surrounded by woods), while being only 3 minutes from the mountain! I highly...HIGHLY recommend this property to any family or group looking to visit Jay and I look forward to staying here in the near future!

We stayed for a few days in February. Our group of seven had a great time. The house was very comfortable with plenty of towels and linens. The kitchen is well stocked and the hot tub was perfect after a few days of skiing. I would certainly stay again.
We did learn something up in Jay Vermont. One person in our group drove a honda accord with (summer tires) and was not able to drive on the snow covered road. Make sure your vehicles have the proper tires.

Excellent ski vacation destination
The property was as advertised, and then some, and is now even more impressive looking with the exterior upgrades. The place is very well stocked, spacious and the hot tub is clean and reliable. Our family of four had a fantastic time and the rooms would certainly accommodate more people comfortably. The large treed and private lot is the perfect setting for a family get-away and is literally a few minutes drive from Jay Peak ski resort. The owner is helpful and easy to contact (not that we needed to once we arrived as everything was in excellent working order). I would highly recommend this property for a winter ski vacation.

Loved it!
Amazing house and property! Ed was a pleasure to deal with. The property is set back in the woods at the end of a quiet street which makes it so nice and private. But yet it is still very close to the mountain.The kids loved relaxing in the hot tub at night after a great day of skiing! The TV is big and has access to many movies (Netflix, amazon) which we really enjoyed! Hope to come back! Thank you!

Wonderful stay
Bright house and very comfortable stay. The newly upgraded kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The owner is super nice and very easy to deal with. Jay Peak was less than 10 minutes drive. We were too busy to enjoy the hot tub, but Really looking forward to staying here again in the future.

Quiet spot in the forest
Our group of 4 adults and 4 young children spent 5 nights at this house. We had a few days on the mountain and waterpark. The house is just a few minutes drive from Jay, yet it is set in a beautiful and secluded forest. The kitchen was well outfitted and we enjoyed preparing and cooking all of our meals. The host was very responsive, kind, and attentive throughout our stay. The property is actually nicer in person than the pictures suggest.

Great for skiers
The house was great and very close to the mountain. We enjoyed the hot tub a lot. I recommend it to anyone who wants to go skiing at Jay Peak without having to stay on the site.

Perfect
Ed's home offered the exact experience myself, my boyfriend, and two other couples were looking for. We spent the days on the ski hill and the evenings relaxing in the hot tub and making dinner. The description says "all amenities from home" and it is an understatement. From shampoo to a whisk to olive oil, the home was stocked with everything. It is located at the end of a quiet street and surrounded by lots of trees. I'd love to return one day.

The Best!
This is a great house! The location is private, the condition of the home was great. The hot tub enjoyed by
adults and teenagers after skiing. My oldest son said this was his best vacation!
Ed was a delight to work with and very responsive. He keeps everything in good condition. It was one of the coldest weeks of the year and the house was cozy.
Will definitely come back.

Amazing place to stay
Really enjoyed staying in this beautiful property, I would recommend this to anyone, hope to go back. Very close to Jay, and the skiing at Jay is awesome. Ed was very helpful. Overall, everything blew away my expectations.

Perfect location and great price for the offering
Was there with a few collegues to get away from our demanding fatherly responsability. What a great WE, great breakfast with the full kitchen, then small drive to the mountain, got there at the opening. Wonderful day on the slopes then nice dinner with the BBQ. Relax in the big SPA and watch the hockey game on the big screen TV. Really nothing bad to say. I strongly recommend.
