Welcome to Gilly’s Dream. Your home away from home. Experience real Bahamian living in the quiet and safe subdivision of Colony Village Estate. Just off the main artery of the eastern end of the island, Prince Charles Drive, you are within a very short walking distance of a shopping plaza where you will find, conveniently, a large supermarket, Domino’s pizza, Wendy’s, a pharmacy, doctor’s office amongst others. Three minutes in the opposite direction is the post office, the police station, a government medical clinic and a number of churches. At Gilly’s Dream you are less than five minutes away by car from the nearest beach. Frequent buses into the downtown area and Paradise Island (Atlantis) are caught from bus stops only three minutes away. The Mall at Marathon is three and one half miles away right along the Prince Charles Drive corridor. Gilly’s Dream is where you want to spend a real Bahamian vacation away from the hustle and bustle of a resort.
Gilly’s Dream offers you comfortable sleeping for up to eight adults (in beds) with an additional 4 single folding cots. Our “Grand Room” is outfitted with one king size bed and a double sleeper sofa. “Gilly’s” is outfitted with a king size bed and “GrandMa’s” has a double bed setting. Each of these three lovely and well spaced apart rooms has its private bath, flat screen television, telephone and ductless air-condition. The general areas are central air-conditioned. Garage parking available. For groups of 6 guests or less, we are open to negotiating a reduced rate. Approach us!

We were welcomed in by friendly hosts into a very spacious house. The hosts were very helpful and any minor issues were dealt with quickly. In general we were very comfortable with our stay and enjoyed coming home after every excursion during our vacation.

The accommodations were very clean and spacious. Our host Darville was a fantastic host. He was gracious enough to take us to Solomon’s grocery to provision for our trip and the next day he took the 4 of us with luggage and groceries to the marina. Thank you Darville for all you did.

Super friendly host. We only stayed 1 night as a stop-over on our trip. Little cots were a nice touch to get everyone a sleeping area. Only thing we didn't like was some loud neighbors doing things right out side one of the bedrooms and constant cars with loud music.

Our stay was fantastic. Darville was a great host. The home is spacious and walking distance to groceries and restaurants. We stayed here to provision ourselves before heading to Palm Cay for a sailing trip. Darville was also helpful at helping us find ground transportation.

It's a great place to sleep plenty of people. 3 beds with accommodating cots and couches, everything a big group would need for a big stay. Hosts are nearby, willing to arrange rides, and communicative. Enjoyed our stay very much.

Darville could not have been kinder or more accommodating. We only stayed at his beautiful home one night and it wasn’t long enough. Everything was immaculate. The house is in a residential area, if you are looking for beaches and nightlife, it might not be the place for you. But if you are looking for somewhere to relax and get away, Gilly’s Dream will be your dream come true.

We decided to fly in a day early before our week stay at our timeshare at Harborside Atlantis. We found Gilly's Dream to be perfect for our group and a great value with 3 separate bedrooms, each with their own full bathroom. The house was very clean and stocked with everything one would need for a longer stay. We really appreciated the 5 gallon water bottle that was provided as well as some welcome snacks. The wifi was great, A/C worked very well...we actually got cold and turned it off in the middle of the night. The only thing that could be improved is the mattresses but I'm one who prefers a softer mattress.

The owners were the sweetest people. We got there early, and they let us enter the property while they finished cleaning it fro the previous stay. They also brought us a delicious avocado from the tree in the backyard, and made sure to offer us any accommodations needed.

Mr. Walkine was a very accommodating host. Check in process was flawless and we truly felt welcomed by our host. The neighborhood seemed very safe. This was the cleanest VRBO I have experienced so far. I would strongly recommend this property and this host to anyone looking for a great value in Nassau for a large group. 12 of us, 6 adults and 6 children were very comfortable here.

We originally booked our accommodation at Gillys Dream for five nights. When we missed our flights and our stay had to ne shortened to 2 nights Darville was understanding and gave us a refund. He was accommodating over the number of people staying in the house and the number of children we had. We loved our stay in this house. It is nicely decorated and child friendly. It was particularly nice that there are bathrooms attached to every room. Many thanks to Darville for all the information he shared regarding getting to and from the airport, car rentals and places to see. It helped our stay go very smoothly.

Our dive club stayed at Gilly's Dream after our Blackbeard's dive liveaboard. Darville (homeowner) was an amazing host and arranged transportation for us much cheaper than we found ourselves. The home was clean, neat, and comfortable for our dive club (there were 11 of us who stayed). Walking distance to grocery center and center with Dairy Queen! 15-minute taxi from Nassau Harbor Club. We look forward to staying again next time we come to Nassau!

Nous sommes une famille de 6 qui avons eu la chance d’etre logé chez M. Darville. Il y a amplement d’espace et de salle de bain pour tous! L’endroit est très bien entretenu et super propre. Darville et sa fille sont même venu nous chercher à l’aéroport avec une magnifique affiche souvenir au nom de notre famille :-) De plus, nous avons eu droit à un tour guidé de la ville. Darville nous a gentillement escorté à l’épicerie puis ensuite le lendemain à la marina. Le tout gratuitement. Darville et sa famille sont extrêmement accueillants, chaleureux et très disponibles. L’appartement est très propre et largement assez grande pour une grande famille. Nous avons tous adorés notre cour passage chez vous! Nous allons très fort probablement nous revoir :-). Je recommande cet endroit sans hésiter !

On our recent trip to the Bahamas our group stayed at Colony Estates. The owners met us and were such pleasant people. A tour of the property was the first order of business before our group of 11 settled in. The residence offers 3 bedrooms with 3.5 baths. The residence is spacious and comfortably appointed, one sofa bed and several air mattresses to accommodate large groups. A shopping center is just a few blocks away if your group chooses to dine out or prepare meals on site. Great value and a hidden gem in Nassau.

Darville and his wife are fantastic people, which I think goes a long ways in being confident that you are in good hands at this house! Had a group of 12 and there was plenty of room, house cooled down quickly with a/c, wifi was great, and there is pretty much all you need to feel right at home. Neighborhood is nice, felt totally safe . . . you will need a car for sure, but we were there to explore and experience the island so that was no problem - drive to Nassau is about 20 minutes, and I'd suggest heading east down to the coast and then driving in that way - less traffic and more scenic . . . store and dominos a 10 minute walk away too.

Excellent choice for our layover in Nassau 👍 9 persons in our group and the owner was so accommodating with transfers to and from the airport and also to and from downtown... extremely helpful and kind. Went above and beyond 👍Excellent customer assertive... Located in a safe quiet neighbourhood away from the hustle and bustle of hotel zones. The apartment is very large extremely clean with lots privacy for a large group. Car Rental recommended for week long stays. Would stay again and the property is as listed and exceeded our expectations.

My stay at Gilly's Dream was fabulous! The owners are very gracious hosts. A driver is available at a very reasonable price and was available to take us where ever we wanted to go on New Providence. I highly recommend this property.

I just have to say we all ( my party of 11) felt like we were visiting family. The hosts went above and beyond. They were awesome, absolutely the most helpful. They picked us up from the airport and as we drove to the home they gave us a tour of the history and culture of the island. Gia took me for fresh baked bread and chix patties. Darville was able to have a vehicle that could transport us to a few places. First the home looks small, but it is not a small home at all. There were three bedrooms and each had a bathroom. There is also a half bath. This is a great place to stay, clean and comfortable. The host family are very friendly. I would suggest renting a vehicle because most everything is 20 to 25 minutes away with out traffic and it's expensive for taxis. This place...home is a gem and quite affordable. Do not pass it by.
