About this cottage rental
An oasis In the heart of Old Town with beautiful gardens, fountains and birds. Loaded with charm and flooded with light! Built in the 20's, this home has been carefully restored and updated without sacrificing the special esthetic of the period. From the original clear Douglas fir floors, antique light fixtures, wide floor and window moldings to the vintage gas pot bellied stove (fireplace), the large bathroom with soaking tub and pedestal sink. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a black iron headboard, antique oak highboy dresser and vintage chandelier. The second bedroom also features a queen bed with a period headboard and additional vintage touches. The kitchen is sunny and bright with hand painted tiles and windows that look out onto the garden fountain and bird feeders.
And the location couldn't be better! Just one block from downtown shops, restaurants and the vintage Bay Theater. Only 2 blocks from the Embarcadero and the waterfront! Just a short walk to the Morro Bay Aquarium, to rent kayaks or go whale watching. You can even see Morro Rock from the front porch and yard. Sit under the gazebo with morning coffee or a glass of wine, looking out to the bay and listening to the songbirds. This is a truly special place.

We had a lovely stay. The cottage was just as described and Kelly was responsive when we had questions. Check in was a breeze. The beds were comfortable and it was pretty quiet at night. The kitchen had everything we needed for cooking. There were numerous birds in the yard, including hummingbirds, blue jays, and doves. We enjoyed watching them! The location is fabulous. It's two blocks from the Embarcadero, which we visited often. There are also numerous restaurants and coffee houses within a short walk. We love Morro Bay, and will definitely consider staying here again!

Interior of house was fine. Great kitchen and bathroom appurtenances. Comfortable. The exterior was unkempt. NO flowers as advertised. The trees and shrubs on entire property needed pruning and severely cut back. Also, furniture was dirty.
Disappointing.

Very charming, clean, stocked with everything needed for a peaceful, comfortable stay. Lots of outlets for your devices. We thought it might be noisy since it's on the corner of a main street but it was very quiet! Close to everything, we walked to most places. We have recommended it to our friends and would stay here again!

This is a perfect beach cottage. In walking distance to restaurants and the waterfront. Loved the gardens especially the one in the back. I would recommend this rental if you are planning a stay in Morro Bay.

weekend stay at the cottage was great. cute little place to land at the end of the day.

The house was very cute a comfortable. We really appreciated being able to bring our dog. It’s in walking distance to everything in Morro. We will definitely stay here again!

The best thing about the cottage is the location, comfortable bed, good laundry facility, large kitchen and bathroom. The inside needed cleaning and vacuuming. The kitchen could use more in the way of spices, condiments and a clean sponge.
Many of the pictures in the listing are inaccurate. All the outside pictures are inaccurate. There are hardly any flowers. The cushions and outside furniture are dirty. The barbecue is extremely dirty. We were not able to use the outside spaces at all. The outside needs sweeping up and the windows need washing. The front door sticks badly and is hard to open. We really wanted to love this place from the pictures in the listing. We can’t recommend it as it is.

This is our second year staying Morro Bay in March. This rental is ideally located downtown, close to everything, with a glimpse of ocean and rock out the front door. Well-equipped kitchen and comfy beds. Good wifi (I needed this to remote in for a conference) and easy check in/check out.

Enjoyed staying at the cottage! The new Scout coffee location is two doors down and so GOOD! We walked to everything. We will be back!

The location was great and the cottage was exactly as advertised. Small and comfortable. We will be booking in the future.

We had such a great time! This adorable cottage was so well stocked with everything we could possible need. It was very clean and welcoming. A very comfortable place to stay.
It was a perfect location for us. It was easy to get anywhere we wanted go.
The manager was so easy to communicate with. We plan to stay here again next year!

This is our first time staying at the little cottage, and we cannot wait to come again. This little home is surrounded by places to eat, shop, and imbibe. The backyard has a chiminea and BBQ grill with propane. Inside, the kitchen is stocked with the tools you will need to cook any meal. We were thankful to have the washer/dryer combo. I cannot say enough about this home!

It’s our home away from home, it’s such a comfortable place and charming. Great location, can’t wait to go back❤️

We truly enjoyed our stay here! The house was clean and welcoming and the courtyard at the back of the house was very nice and cozy with a working fountain that attracted the most beautiful birds. The location was perfect; walking distance to shops, coffee restaurants and Morro Bay. The owner was very helpful and welcoming. We would absolutely stay here again. Thanks for making our stay so memorable.

I think the title covers it all! The cottage is as quaint as you would expect it and Kelly keeps it well equipped.
The location can’t be beat…was able to walk to multiple coffee places, run to Morro Rock as well as Morro Bay state park and walk 1 block to the Saturday farmers market!
Kelly is an excellent host…communicated by text and responded within minutes with any questions I had during the stay.
Overall it was a great week!

Was very pleasant. Was pretty quiet considering it's located on the corner of Main street and Pacific. Was with walking distances of various stores and cafes. Beds were quite comfortable. The house was quite quaint and had been upgraded to mostly modern standards. It was our understanding that it was built in the 1930's or 1940's and remodeled in the 90's. We could look out the window when we were having breakfast and see the humming birds and others feeding and bathing in the fountain. We would definitely stay there again.

Kellie was a great host. We were close to everything and enjoyed our walks around town and down to the Embarcadero area of Morro Bay.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The location was perfect and the cottage was great. I enjoyed the fenced yard and the gardens.

Kelly is great, responsive and not intrusive.
The cottage is very small, though comfortable. A jack and jill bathroom can be awkward for overnight guests, so good friends and family only.
Worst part is no real dining area and can bump butts a lot in the galley kitchen.
Best part is the wonderful location. You can literally walk the entire city, to the Rock, restaurants, Embaradero, park, enen the grocery store and pharmacy.
We stayed a little over 6 weeks and really did enjoy ourselves.

We stayed here for the weekend of our daughter’s graduation from Cal Poly. Close enough, and yet not in the party zone. Love the vibe of this house, and of Moro Bay in general. We felt like we were just one short walk to everything - restaurants, thrift stores, farmer’s market, and the bay! Great sitting areas in the front and back yards 😎. Great communication with owner/property manager, accommodating and clear instructions.

We rented the cottage for a month. A great location. We watched sunsets from the front yard patio and enjoyed happy hours on the back patio with a chiminea fire. Close to both the ocean and downtown. A perfect spot to enjoy all that Morro Bay has to offer. While the cottage needs some top to bottom cleaning, we loved our stay.

We stayed at the cottage for 2 weeks. We loved it! Incredibly charming, perfect location, well equipped for everything. We worked remote, we went fishing on-shore and off, we cooked meals here as much as going out, our dogs enjoyed their visit, we relaxed in the warm protected backyard, and we watched both sunsets and the world go by on the front steps. We look forward to a future visit!

HISTORIC COTTAGE
The inside of the property is very charming, wonderful and comfortable. The outside is run down and very dirty. You are on the corner of 2 busy roads in town. Very noisy so you can't always have the windows open.

This was a really nice place to stay. Great access to downtown and restaurants. It was a little noisy at times, but not enough to make a big difference.

Main St. Cutie
Quaint little property in Morro Bay! Walking distance to the Embarcadero; parking was never an issue at the cottage. We were a bit warm at night, could use a fan or two, 2nd bedroom bed was too soft for us. Everything else was great, we had a great time and enjoyed all of the wildlife that visited the backyard!

Cute Home!

This cottage was just the peaceful place we needed. Quaint, close to everything, friendly birds, and a lush garden for calm breakfasts.

What a delightful week! The location of the cottage was perfect. I loved walking down to the Embarcadero every day. The back garden was like a private bird sanctuary. I saw and heard hummingbirds, a friendly bluejay, and four juvenile night herons joined me for an hour one afternoon! The inside of the cottage was sparkling clean and very comfortable. I would love to return regularly to this lovely retreat!

My family with two teenage kids thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this Morro Bay Cottage! The place is neat and tidy, no outdoor refrigerator, and beautifully landscaped. The hostess was very accommodating. We couldn’t have been more happy with our 10 day stay! Thanks Kelly, Richard
