This beautiful home was the perfect place for our 3 families with children to come enjoy the lake and time with each other. The dock was perfect for the boat we rented and the sandy area was HUGE and perfect for the kids! The kitchen was large enough for all the kids and adults to eat meals together. We will absolutely be booking again in the future! If you are on the fence, take my advice and book now!

We loved staying at this lovely home. We had 6 adults and 6 children staying in this home. There was plenty of sleeping space but kitchen was a bit tight. The beach was fantastic and the family spent a lot of time in the sand and water. The sunsets are breathtaking and a must if you visit this home. We had campfires several nights and kids enjoyed smore's. Tom, the neighbor, made sure the sand was clean and we had firewood the day we arrived. No need to bring sand toys, chairs or kayaks. The owners have everything right there, very convenient.
We did spend one day at Kings Dominion, it is a short 25 minute drive. The local Food Lion will deliver groceries through Instacart, so we had food and beverages shortly after we arrived. I would recommend this property for a fun vacation!

Kids loved this location because of the sand and shallow warm water. We loved it because of the sunsets, firepit, setup of chairs , umbrellas etc... Great house. Lots of stuff.
I'd go back.

We spent a wonderful family Thanksgiving here - eight people in three generations. The house was perfect for us, and is even better than the photos. We were able to have fires on the beach with s'mores, paddle kayaks on the lake, have sing-a-longs on the screened-in porch, and a full Thanksgiving meal cooked in the fairly well-equipped kitchen. Our 11 yr-old even went for a swim - Brrr! The Lake Anna State Park (35min drive) was ideal for hiking. Our host was easily available through VRBO. The water is well water and tasted funny to the children, so we bought bottled water. The closest store is a Dollar General with just the basics. Read the instructions to know what to bring with you. We'd love to go back to Lady of the Lake!!

Great, clean home on a beautiful piece of land with everything you would need. Would definitely recommend for a family of 12 who wants to relax and enjoy lake life…

The property and the beach was perfect as expected but the house itself was even better then we thought it would be. The pictures do not do the house justice! The kitchen was filled with many extra appliances and more then enough cooking utensils, pots, Tupperware, plates, glasses, etc. The beds were comfy and clean sheets were waiting for each bed. The screened porch was a great addition - perfect for early mornings or thunderstorms. The garage was stocked with beach toys, floats, sports balls, etc - unfortunately we couldn’t take advantage of all of it because of the heat. The beach and dock was great! The seating set up and umbrellas were comfy, the fire pit was right on the beach by the chairs and there was lots of firewood! There was 2 kayaks, a small boat we took out to fish with, a couple canoes and a paddle board too!! Many of the previous reviews mentioned a neighbor which we met and he helped us launch a jet ski, came by to clean off the steps into the water - a very nice and helpful couple!! Brenda, the homeowner, was extremely attentive to any questions we had.
We rented a boat from Pleasants Landing for 2 days and the kids went tubing - they loved it!! The Marina was 6 mins away and was located on the public side of the lake. If you
want to keep the boat docked at the house, then it must stay on the private side and needs to be done in advance especially in the summer months. I don’t think you could go wrong either way. Both sides of the lake is beautiful and big!
Our whole party of 10 had a great time and loved everything about the house - we had nothing negative to comment!!

Great property for families. The beach area was the highlight - it was amazing. Everything you needed for the lake activities was there. The outdoor shower was great to have. The house was very quiet allowing the kids to sleep and the adults to play board games after hours. Owners were very responsive!

We had a wonderful time. Brenda was great to work with and communicated well in the week before our arrival. We had a last minute guest addition that changed our party from our original booking. The house was easily able to accommodate our party of 9. Pop-pop decided to sleep on the very comfortable blow-up air mattress in the front room to be near the bathroom and he loved it. Everyone enjoyed the beach and chairs especially at sunset. Tom, the neighbor, checked on us and helped launch our jet ski. He also kept us supplied with firewood for our beach campfire. We will be back.

We all loved the house and the property. It had everything there we needed. We loved the beach and the steps to the lake. All agreed it was better than a week at the beach and that is saying a lot because we are beach people.
We will be back

Very nice property. Perfect for families. My nephews loved the beach. The fires at sunset were amazing . I appreciated the neighbor providing firewood.

Property was clean and well maintained! Location was beautiful. Excellent stay. Master suite was very warm and upstairs bedrooms were cold. But other than that, wonderful.

We had such a wonderful time! The location and lake access were awesome, the house was beautiful and comfortable. We especially loved the covered porch in the rain and fires on the beach! Will definitely rent again!

Perfect sized home for our family. The large grassy yard was great for the kids to run, kick around the soccer balls, and toss a frisbee. The firepit on the beach was used nightly as we each had a comfy seat in the colorful Adirondack chairs & we really appreciated the daily re-load of firewood by the friendly neighbor. We grilled on the deck, we grilled on the beach, we kayaked and canoed daily! The sand on the beach with the sandy toys were a welcome surprise for out grandson. The bedrooms were great and we all slept great! One thing to be aware of is that the location is remote and the internet is slow. Plan to keep your phones in the house and enjoy the outdoors. We hope to visit again sometime soon!

The house is nice, and has a large beach and several canoes and kayaks. However, we found the lake water itself to be too warm for our taste.

I selected this property because my husband and I have a young son and the beach area is what caught my eye. We had not been to this area and years and it was a great place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. We had the most beautiful sunsets and fires in the firepit. The neighbor was wonderful and so helpful, we had a great time.

Great property and great location! The beach area was the best and largest we saw. All the kids swam and utilized the volleyball and badminton sets. Tom, the neighbor, was awesome and stocked our firewood as needed. Lots of sleeping space with one bathroom on top floor, one in the ground master and a third near the front door and great room. This property does have an outdoor shower also right outside the garage. The only odd thing was not having a garbage disposal. As a homeowner and landlord this is not a plus for anyone but was not a huge deal in the end. We simply through all food into the garbage. We docked our boat at the dock which is a huge plus. We would book again for sure!

The beach area was a really nice to have

The location of this property is fantastic. It sits in a cove away from the main lake. Our kids could play in the warm water with ease. We brought our tubes to anchor and float in and it was very relaxing. There is a charcoal/wood open grill pit by the lake. We cooked chicken on it one night. The beach area is very large with a great beach fire pit. There are wide stairs that go into the lake. They can be slippery. The owner provides a push broom to clean them off. The yard itself is huge. There’s a nice outdoor dinning set under very mature trees giving a lot of shade. My mom throughly enjoyed reading there during the day. The screened in porch was a perfect morning location for morning coffee. The kitchen is fully stocked with almost all of your cooking needs. The flow of the downstairs is nice with the open kitchen into the living room with a wall of natural light flowing in. There’s a huge walk-in pantry to store snacks and dry food. The garage has a refrigerator which was great for more food and beverages. There was an extra air compressor that helped a lot to blow up the large floats. The washer and dryer were also helpful. Bring your own detergent and other supplies. We brought toilet paper and paper towels. You need to as well. It was stocked from the last guests and there was no extra. The location is very quiet and peaceful which we loved. My family has high pressure jobs (police officer, trauma nurse, etc.) we all enjoy being secluded to refuel. If you need the same this is the place for you. The driveway isn’t wide to store boat trailers or cars. It’s long but not the best for parking getting in and out. We did our best not to drive in the grass at all but it’s difficult to avoid. There is a private boat ramp that the neighbor let us use. He’s retired and helps oversee a few houses if you need firewood or help. For us he was randomly on the property more than what we liked. Especially having kids out and about. He means well you just have to ask him kindly. We took a day to go to Thomas Jefferson’s home Monticello. It was an easy hour drive and worth it. If you want to take a break from the kids and cooking there was a cute restaurant with amazing food close by called Tavern on the Rail. Make reservations you won’t be disappointed. We love mom and pop local businesses and restaurants. There are a bunch in the area to enjoy. Overall we love the location and the property. Enjoy‼️

We had a house full for the week of July 31 thru Aug 7. The family had a terrific time. We rented a pontoon boat for the week and the family had a great time fishing and tubing on the lake. The house has everything needed for a family vacation and accommodated small children very well. ( lots of outdoor space for the grandkids to run, jump and play. )This is a great quiet location with no commercialization. If someone wants to go out for dinner or get groceries it is a relatively short drive to some area restaurants and stores (15-20 minutes). Hosts were very responsive to any messages. Great beach area and that deserves kudos!! Kayaks and row boat available for use that the family really enjoyed. The family really enjoyed our stay at Lake Anna.

We had a wonderful week at the lake. The house was perfect for what we needed. The property is stunning and we spent a lot of time on the beach relaxing and swimming during the day and building fires at night. The yard was perfect for playing games. It was very quiet, which was lovely, and the neighbors were wonderful with fishing advice and any other questions we had about the area.

This house and property is perfect! We rented one week in July. 2021.
On a quiet cove with a beautiful shady big grassy backyard leading to a very large private beach on the private side of Lake Anna. Several Adirondack chairs shaded by umbrellas surround the beach fire pit facing the lake, at a beautiful sunset. A private dock, perfect for launching your boat or one of several provided kayaks, also perfect for fishing. The beach leads to the very shallow lake front (2-3 feet deep) just fine for small children or floating around. Fires as the sun set were so much fun, firewood provided! Plus a charcoal grill at the beach.
The house is beautiful with a complete and fully equipped kitchen (2nd refrigerator in the garage) and it includes a dishwasher. Every appliance and utensil is available. The vaulted ceiling family room looks out on the lake through two storied windows.
The kitchen dining table seats eight. There’s a gas fired bbq grill and gas fired griddle on the open deck
The five bedrooms include a main bedroom suite, with king sized bed, on the first floor; with 4 bedrooms upstairs: 3 containing queen sized beds, and one with two twin beds. In addition there are inflatable mattresses and (of course) electric pumps. The living room sofa opens to a queen sized bed.
Two full bathrooms downstairs, one upstairs. There’s an outdoor shower as well!
Lots of games, beach toys, life jackets, etc. Bring a few extra floating rings, like we did.
TV sets in the family room and main bedroom have cable TV and streaming devices.
Large attached garage with washer/dryer and lots of toys, life jackets and plenty of room to store anything extra that you brought.
Freshly cleaned Sheets and towels are included but bring your own beach towels.
Lots of parking on the private driveway in a quiet cul-de-sac. You will feel very secure here.
Convenience stores with gas stations are 15 minutes away with full grocery stores less than 30 minutes.

House was very comfortable, lots of sand toys, kayaks and a canoe, and lots of cookware. The location was great and the neighbor shared tomatoes and cucumbers from his garden! Water on the private side very warm in July which the kids loved. Perfect setup for beach bonfires and lots of shade and sun on the beach during the day.

Wonderful location on quiet cove. Great for paddle boarding, swimming and fishing. Plus close to Pleasants Landing for boat and jetski rental.

Beautiful location. We had a great week! Hopefully we can come back in the future!!!!

We enjoyed the private beach access, the full house with all you need, all the beach toys in the garage and we even used the BBQ pit! Wonderful time with three kids under 4!
4.9
The property was beautiful and spacious. The owners were easy to communicate with and very responsive. Our school aged kids really enjoyed fishing on the beach and playing kickball in the spacious yard. Wonderful nearby getaway for a week!
4.9
Overall, wonderful accommodations, beautiful lake-front and beach, plenty of room, would stay there again. It is a bit of a trek to get food, so bring plenty of your own, or be prepared for a bit of driving. Also, if you bring work with you, would be a good idea to bring your own hotspot. Internet service is available, but we experienced some down-time (was a good excuse to hit the lake, though).

This is a great place to stay. We absolutely had a great time and were really impressed by the whole property. We had one small issue at the beginning but after a call to the property manager it was fixed that same day. The beach was fantastic, and we really enjoyed taking the canoes and boats out for short trips on the beautiful lake. Fishing off the dock was great, I have never caught fish so fast in my entire life!
