If you love peace and quiet, this is the place to stay. Also has perks.. complementary breakfast foods, fresh bread daily, 14 minutes to downtown, wildlife, and pool to name a few things. El Rey Alteza is not far if you enjoy Mexican food.

Enjoyed the surroundings and rustic cabin setting. It was hot while there, and the AC worked well. I was on my own and felt very comfortable. The people around were friendly and helpful, but gave you your space. Enjoyed the pool, walking the grounds, sitting on the covered porch, watching the various birds/animals that inhabit the place, and having access to Nashville. Stocked fridge and daily fresh-made bread were a nice addition to the stay. You do need transportation (or use Uber type options) as you are out in a more rural area. Wi-fi is available, but can be slow. TV went out during a thunderstorm, but restored and was fine. Only the bedroom is upstairs, so you need to feel comfortable climbing stairs and carrying your luggage up. Went into Nashville for a shopping trip and to eat out, but found coming back so peaceful and relaxing, which is why I chose to stay at this property.

This place is amazing. If you think it looks amazing from these pics here, just wait until you get there. It's like heaven on earth. Seriously, we went to go to Nashville and didn't want to leave the property. THEY PUT FRESH BREAD ON YOUR DOOR EVERY MORNING, and stock the fridge with essentials. They are the sweetest nicest people. The cabin is so freaking cute and all decked out in German stuff, it's just amazing. The peacocks, omg, I think I have 100 pictures. They are so friendly and love to hang out on the porch with you. The property is just insane gorgeous. The pool was warm and amazing, I didn't want to leave. BOOK THIS PLACE. I've never seen anything like it, it's just insanely awesome. Will def book again and again. Also, ride share downtown was not bad at all.

We followed the tree lined path passed the horses and rolling hills until we got to the top. I was in awe of the beauty of this place. The Bavarian architecture takes you back in time. You walk down a brick layed path and marvel at the detail until you are captivated by the place you will call home. Our days were filled with drinking coffee in the morning and visiting with magnificent peacocks who came right up on the porch. There were always fresh bread, eggs yogurt and cheese. The pantry was stocked with whatever spice/seasoning. We spent our afternoons watching cranes and some type of bird so large it looked like a man fishing from the distance. I would then go searching the hills for feathers, visit the tree house and monument of the man who built such an amazing place. The pool is perfect. As you swim you watch the male peacocks entice the females with their feathers. The females arent impressed and ignore the males as they shake their tale feathers. You will never forget this mating ritual. I would be remiss if I did not talk about the family who runs this farm. There is a tremendous amount of warmth that you feel when you arrive. This is not some big cooperation. You matter to this family and they want you to come back. It is all the small conveniences they offer that sets them apart. Thank you for everything. It was hard coming back to reality:(

Fresh bread and eggs, bathrooms stocked, and peacocks hang on porch; what’s not to love! Only complaint is the pictures on here are NOT the same as “other” rental platforms as they are outdated pictures. Update the pictures AND prices so they are the same on BOTH platforms.

A most gorgeous setting nestled in the woods outside of Nashville. Very clean and the homemade bread each morning was a wonderful touch!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The grounds are incredible and our 5 year old loved the pool, peacocks, Mimi the cat, and exploring the property. The fresh bread was delicious and a special treat. The owner kindly gave us some feathers which our son was thrilled with. We enjoyed learning about the property from the owner’s grandson. Overall, a great stay.

This was the most amazing place that I've ever stayed at! The pictures don't do it any justice! The beautiful animals, the scenery, and of course the peace and quiet! Great communication and it was definitely the go-to place for sure! The breakfast was enough to feed a village! There's not enough time in a day to explain why this place is so perfect. I will definitely be back soon with my daughter. My favorite part was how the peacocks came to visit us frequently. To us that was so memorable and just the fact they felt so comfortable 2 ft from us just blew our minds. Thank you guys for everything you did and do! Can't wait to come back soon! Definitely worth the 6 1/2 hour drive.

We have been to this property 4 times in the last few years and absolutely love being there each time. The last 2 times my husband had been sick it hurt and each time we left he was refreshed and healed. Gisele, Stephen and Rodrigo make sure we have everything we need for our stay when we arrive. This year it rained almost the whole time but with the large covered porch we were able to stay outside and enjoy the rain. We will be back next year and hopefully my husband will feel great before we get there and we can explore the grounds.
Thanks to all who put the effort in the make this the most relaxing and healing experience ever.

Went to Nashville for the wedding of my stepdaughter. It was a beautiful but hectic experience. Thanks to the location of the cabin and the wonderful care of the owner we had somewhere to go to recuperate from the festivities. All I can say is it was a wonderful haven.

You will not be disappointed if you choose this location!
The property is sprawling over 100 acres. No matter where you look you see beautiful maintain landscaping and natural wooded areas surrounding you. It is a great escape
from a busy day in Nashville.About a 20 minute ride to town. The cabin had every thing we needed plus the fridge
was stocked with breakfast goodies! Thank Gisela for a most memorable stay.

Quite quaint and quiet. Park like surroundings. Regular daily visit from the resident peacocks. Daily breag deluvery to the door by 7:15am. Stocked fridge on arrival. Beautiful horses in the pasture who were gentle giants.all this for less than the price of one of the downtown hotels. What more could you ask for? If you are NOT a twenty-somthing who wants to hang out with the hoards of drunken rioters downtown, then this peaceful enclave is for you. It's quite literally "The Sound of Music" meets "Dr. Doolittle."

Evergreen farm is a beautiful picturesque landscape to getaway. We had never been to Nashville and wanted to check it out. We saw some sites and took some tours. But it was lovely to be able to stay at Evergreen farm and rest. It is far enough away from the city to be quiet. It was wonderful. We hope to be able to return some day.

The listing doesn’t do this place justice. It is absolutely beautiful!! The fully stocked refrigerator was a wonderful surprise. The daily loaf of bread- delicious!! The peacocks were friendly. Close enough to Nashville for our needs. Such an amazing place- we will definitely be back!!

Everything about this place was perfect! Away from all bustling and noise (except the geese!), surrounded by beautiful nature and peacocks who were willing to display their tails several times for us. It was more remote and lovely than the pictures show. We kept gaping as we entered the property and walked around. It's SO beautiful and we were glad to have a few friends over to share that beauty one afternoon. We will definitely be back. Thank you Gisela. It was perfect.

This was our 6th visit to the farm and as great as the first. My husband and I both found it remarkable how well the property has been kept up over the last 13 years. Lucia and Rodrigo were very kind helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept, the peacocks are fascinatingly beautiful and the boys loved playing down by the lake and running through the fields. Gisela was gracious as always and the bread so delicious. We already can’t wait to go back.

What a beautiful place nestled in the hills. Amazing grounds to walk, beautiful peacocks and wildlife. Host family was very thoughtful. They’re clearly proud of their property as it is pristine. The workmanship everywhere was amazing. We’re hoping to go back another time at a different season so we can appreciate at that time of year. We would highly recommend!

Our weekend was a rainy wintery one and it was still beautiful so I can only imagine how much more so it would be if the sun was shining and flowers blooming. Hosts were wonderful and provided more than we needed (we tend to bring most of what we need anyway). Be aware that parking is limited if you intend to have a visitor or more than one vehicle. This is no fault of the host and not a negative review in any way, just something for you to be aware of. We would definitely stay here again!

This property is amazing, we feel lucky to have found it. Every detail has been thought of and we were so impressed by the hospitality. The fresh baked bread is wonderful but then they kick it up a notch with a fridge full of groceries. We did not get to meet Gisela but were warmly greeted by Monique who went out of her way to make us feel welcome and loaned us a snow sled and some crampons for our shoes. The temps dropped to single digits but the cabin stayed warm and cozy. The location is ideal as well. And the internet worked great. Loved every minute.

This is a gem of a property. The cabin has so much character and charm. We loved the fresh bread every morning. Walked the property the first day (highly recommend) opened our door one day and a peacock was right on the porch. BEAUTIFUL
We had such a nice relaxing visit while checking out Tennessee during the days. Highly recommend and would love to come back in other seasons to see the full beauty!

The farm is absolutely stunning! You can tell a lot of love and work goes into making the grounds so beautiful. The sound of nature was all around and it was so very peaceful. Thank you to Gisela, Lucia and Jil for making our stay so special! The fresh baked bread daily and the breakfast supplies were such a special treat!

This little log cabin at Evergreen Farms was the perfect vacation spot…only about 20 mins from all of the excitement of Nashville along with the secluded peacefulness of the farm!!! Definitely want to come back!!

The moment we entered the driveway we were in awe of the meticulously kept grounds and amazing views of rolling fields and wooded areas. From our parking space we had a short walk down a winding brick path through even more beautiful landscaping.
Our cabin was so cozy, with a covered porch complete with a lighted Christmas tree. We spent many mornings and evenings on the porch watching the geese and ducks in the pond. Turkeys roamed the woods, and peacocks came by for the seeds dropped by birds at the feeders.
The inside of the cabin was just as welcoming. We used the fireplace each evening, and appreciate all the detail that went in to making this place feel so comfortable. The loft bedroom was perfect, and we loved the daily warm bread and items left for breakfast and lunch. We enjoyed our conversations with Alina and Stefan, and felt completely at home during our stay.
Visiting the memorial to Reinhold Holtkamp on the top of the hill and hearing of his and Gisela's experiences from their grandson, Stefan, helped us appreciate this amazing property even more. All the love, attention to detail, and ongoing maintenance required to bring their vision to reality resulted in a week that was truly memorable.

This was by far the best cabin/property we've stayed at. The cabin was nicely done and the kitchen was fully stocked with breakfast and lunch items. Warm homemade bread was left on the porch every morning! Yum 😋 The property was amazing with peacocks, ducks, and deer all around. I loved sitting on the porch and taking in the views. Beautiful to walk around. The cabin is very private but close enough to Nashville if you wanted some city sites. Highly recommend!

The wife and I typically stay downtown when we visit Nashville… we decided to venture off the beaten path this time. We absolutely fell in love with Evergreen Farms… the property is sprawling and beautiful, the staff is helpful and friendly. Surrounded by nature with an abundance of animals, and beautiful greenery. The cabin was well appointed, we are already looking forward to our next stay!
