Very nice, newly renovated apartment just a few blocks from the harbor. Very clean. New Paint. Neat, unusual rough sawn log wall in Dining room. Only issues were: No BUILDING # 20 outside that we could see and no exterior photo of building front so hard to make sure we were at the right place and no #2 Unit # on the door as stated. No ice, no ice cube trays to make any either. Very limited supplies. Only 1 roll of toilet paper and no spare paper towels which we ran out of. Host quickly supplied TP, thank you for the service. You can hear the people in the upstairs unit running around. The ottoman is pretty filthy. Very few picures or things on the walls, so lacks a little "homey" feel, but overall, very good. We'd stay there again.

Overall nice comfortable stay! Beds were very comfortable with plenty of table space(for puzzles,etc)! If I had to improve anything, a light over the kitchen sink would help and cover any worn or stained furniture. Need to update amenity list( no Kerig coffee maker)…..The view is blocked mostly by trees but u can see the water in areas! Once again- very nice overall!

We had a great stay at this place. It was spacious and located a few blocks from downtown. We loved being able to walk to everything in town. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Lots of living space and even has a small deck looking out towards the lake. It did not have any air conditioning which we thought wasn't a big deal since we were staying in October, but it ended up being a warm week. We were lucky enough to leave the windows open to keep the place cool.

My brothers and I were looking for a place to stay in Grand Marais while on a motorcycle trip. This place was fantastic as it was extremely close to downtown Grand Marais and also very close to Lake Superior. We really enjoyed ourselves and we will definitely look at booking this location again for future trips.

3 ladies chasing waterfalls found this place to be the perfect stay for our trip to Cook County! Thank you for letting us stay in your beautifully updated apartment. Location was perfect for getting to food, drink and shopping. Beds were comfortable with high end bedding.. Everything was clean. Shower was amazing and we would like to know the brand or where it was purchased. We all want to buy one for our homes??? Clean fresh linens and towels. Ben is easy to communicate with. We had zero issues and would highly recommend this place to anyone.

It was a very cute place to stay, owner was nice unfortunately all the dishes/pots and pans/ utensils we went to use were dirty. The drawers they were in were also dirty. We found pumpkin seeds in the carpet in the living room and when my husband went to use the grill it was full of cigarette butts.

Ben was super quick to respond to messages. Check-in was easy. The layout of the apartment was nice, and we enjoyed the views of the bay. We loved being right in Grand Marais and being able to walk everywhere. We had what we needed in the apartment. It was perfect for a couple of recovery days after a week of backpacking.

This unit was perfect for my family’s long weekend in Grand Marais. The check-in instructions led us right to the front door and got us in easily. The apartment was furnished as expected and super clean. The location was my favorite part of it. It was just a quick walk to Java Moose, Sven and Ole’s, and The World’s Best Donuts, amongst the other great downtown attractions. I would definitely stay here again.

We found the location of the property and communication with the owner great! Overall, inside was fairly updated and looked nice. Being able to walk to restaurants, artist point and the lake was a huge bonus. Our family, specifically, might not stay there again just from the standpoint that when we stay at this type of VRBO, we prefer to have capability to wash clothes since we did so many outdoor adventures. Somehow our kids manage to dirty everything even though we brought plenty. It was odd we had to take our garbage with us or pay extra. We had a long drive so had to find somewhere to take it. These are small things so definitely not deal breakers for some people.

My sister and I so enjoy the time we get to spend in Grand Marais and having this lovely place as a “Home Base” is perfect. We could walk to restaurants, museums, galleries, or simply wander and admire the local gardens. We’ll be back next year!!

My family stayed for a long weekend and the location was great! Within walking distance to restaurants and downtown. We also loved having a place with a kitchen and dining area to make our own meals. The beds were comfortable too!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's a tri-plex with separate entrances. It is very spacious with a great layout. There is a deck that faces the lake with a partial lake view. The bedrooms are spacious with a closet and dresser, and the beds are very comfortable. We walked to the shops, restaurants, art galleries and Artists' Point. A great location in town. The Pincushion Mountain hiking trails are just up the road. A great location!

Building is old and could use a fresh coat of paint but the inside was clean for the most part. A couple of spiders in the bathroom and only a couple screens on some windows so we couldn’t open them. Could have had some bathroom supplies (hand soap, paper towels) available.. Ottoman in living room is stained and looks bad. Location is fantastic.

It was spacious for two guys who did a lot of outdoor activities and cooking. We came there to enjoy the boundary water area including the Gunflint Trail for hiking and canoeing. We also visited Ely to see the bear and wolf sanctuaries. Basically used the place for a base and did a lot of traveling each day. We did do some touring in Grand Marais. We ate at a few of the restaurants and toured the harbor and the museum.
